Aaaaaaaall right- I'm very curious.
I wanna know why you love Farah.
Do it- Yooou KNOW you want to. >:)
GIGGLING youre absolutely spoiling me right now 😇😇
I will take literally any opportunity to talk about the sweet girl so here we go 😻
Btw this is going to be completely unorganised, I’m literally just dumping my thoughts into a tumblr txt post 🧍‍♂️
Also ik for a fact that I literally cannot put my love for this character into words to forgive if my wording is horrible 😇
This is also for @missaimfire14red, who was lovely enough to drop this in my askbox as well 😚 Figured I might as well merge the two!! I’ll also be fleshing this out later for yous, hopefully into an actual semi-formatted essay lol 😭 /lh
Cw: Blood warning for clips & images of canon scenes
Now: Mwi (Modern Warfare one)
I’m gonna start off with her and Hadir. Their bond, like, HURTS me (in a good way 😇). They went through so much together - loosing both their parents, growing up in a warzone and almost dying + having to flee their home as CHILDREN, then being imprisoned for, as far as i know, almost all of their childhood and early adulthood.
DO YOU SEE THE WAY SHE LOOKS AT HIM??? 😭😭
Tumblr media
Hes just her big brother and they love each other to pieces, literally quite possibly the strongest bond in the cod reboot imo. (See Hadir saying ‘I love you even if you hate me’ BAWLING)
And now let’s talk about her reaction to Hadir using chemical weapons.
Firstly, this scene, when she first finds out that Hadir betrayed them when he originally used them. I’m not gonna go too much into this scene bc I think it’s more about her bonds with Hadir, Price and Alex and I’m trying to keep this as a Farah post, but I might make another one abt this in the future. Lemme just say that she literally fights Hadir until she passes out. Ty 😇
Now what she says when she confronts him and he starts blaming Price for betraying them???
‘You betrayed yourself’. PAINNN 💔💔
She hated those weapons because they were used on her an her people and she just never wanted anyone to experience that ever again, even the enemy.
Let me reiterate that - she literally wouldn’t use the enemy’s own weapons against them due to the sheer inhumanity of it. Her morals are literally so strong that she practically disowns him because of it. She refuses to use the weapons that were used on herself, even on the people who attacked her. When I say I fully believe she is one of, if not the kindest, person in the cod reboot, I MEAN it. She rightfully refuses to give into the occupying forces but is still merciful enough to refuse to torture them the way they tortured her. She’s merciful in her warfare and her revenge and it just. It just breaks my heart 😇
Adding to that,
ALSO. Let’s talk about how, when she was being detained by Hadir, she had all the opportunity to kill him, literally weapon in hand, and she just let herself get taken. Was it for the greater good? Totally. But I think it also tells us that she trusts her allies enough to be willingly taken by the enemy (calling Hadir the enemy HURTS bro 😭). I also think it tells us that she still loves him, to some extent. She hates what he’s done unbelievably, but he’s still her big brother and she still loves him.
Okay, onto Mwii (Modern Warfare two)
First: Hadir’s death.
He tells her that she has the warhead and tells her to use it, but, ofc, she refuses. But then, what does she do??
Tumblr media
SHE COMFORTS HIM. Tells him that she’ll defeat the russians, even if it’s not the way he was planning. That’s why I’ll literally NEVER take anyone saying they didn’t love eachother - bc no way would she ever spare an actual enemy (esp one she was technically interrogating) this kind of mercy, but she does for Hadir.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THEN the way he encourages her and her reaction 😭 She tells him that they have nothing to do with this, and I kinda feel like it’s either out of grief or because she doesn’t want them to know about this, in a way? She wants to keep their memories of their parents in a simpler time and doesn’t want to acknowledge what Hadir did, maybe even partially doesn’t blame him, because she’s angry too and she might even partially understand why he did it, yet she’s logical, kind, and thinks things through enough to know that it wasn’t the right thing to do, ethically or tactically.
And dont even get me STARTED on tactics. She’s literally the commander of her ENTIRE force ffs, you know she’s literally unbelievably smart, both against an enemy in general (Al Quatala) and against one with more populated and technologically advanced (manufacturing-wise, they have more weapons and are much more heavily funded). Not to mention her and Hadir literally produced weapons for their troops themselves. Personally, I don’t have much knowledge with weapons, but I do know that so many intricate parts go into them that it’s not the kind of thing a normal person can just do.
Admittedly, bc of the shift in focus for mw2, theres not much else I wanna talk about Farah-wise. I’m not gonna go into detail with the atomgrad raid bc honestly I dont have the time rn lol- might make another post about it.
The only other really notable Farah we got here that I’m gonna mention was Laswell’s rescue.
Firstly, let’s talk abt how she was willing to help, but was also smart about it. She didn’t risk forcing her people back into war, only pursuing the kidnappers once they reached Urzikstan, and the plus that they were Al Quatala.
Then, Farah’s ‘we share a common enemy,’
And Price’s ‘and a common friend.’
Honestly I’m totally projecting by saying Laswell is a mother figure to Farah bc there’s literally no plot evidence but. In my heart Price and Laswell are besties co parenting Gaz and Farah 😇😇 (and honestly all of 141 and ULF as well to some extent). But!!! Laswell does call her, Price, Gaz and Farah meeting as a ‘family reunion’, so there’s definitely some level of bond there. And then Farah proceeds to compliment Laswell on her moves which honestly had me giggling a little 😇
(Also can i just say I’m so upset we didn’t get a Farah reaction to Gaz’s heli moment?? Disappointing 🙄🙄 /lh)
Lastly: Mwiii (Modern Warfare 3) - and ofc spoilers for it.
For mw3, I’m only gonna go over her and Dena, mostly bc I’m running outta time rn lol.
They have such an adorable bond and I love them sm 😭😭
Can we talk about how one of the only times we see Farah smile,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is at Dena? 😭 And Farah immediately asks about her mother? It’s such a like domestic sort of scene that I just love so much bc we get a little peek into Farah outside of Commander Karim 💟💟
Then they have the little moment in the car 💔
You can just tell how much Farah appreciates the encouragement and the trust between them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly, I’m not gonna go over Dena’s death 🧍‍♂️ Like the other death in mw3, I feel like it kinda could’ve been handled differently/better (also like give my girl Farah a break jesus can she not be happy?? 😭 /lh)
Still, the way she promises to give Dena justice literally breaks my heart 😭💔
-
Anyways, that’s it for now 😚 At some point I wanna like come back to this and flesh it out a bit alongside other dialogue and plot stuff with Farah, I just didn’t have the time today :[

Could I request platonic Nikto, Horangi, Velikan and Krueger headcannons of them meeting a gn child reader with sociopathic tendencies?
Such as lack of human emotion/empathy, not caring about right and wrong, doesn't see people as humans and as a bonus has a strange fascination with death and psychology? I'm curious to see what they'd think and whether they'd be unsettled if they realise they could potentially be meeting a future serial killer
a/n: hey sorry this took so long! I got busy doing base stuff for my band lol, hope this reads okay!
Tumblr media
Horangi:
-he’s worried or say the least, since he was the one put in charge of you till kortac could find a place to send you
-ended up finding out when he was watching you manipulate the soldiers around you into giving you things or always sneaking off to peak into the windows of the rooms they kept captives in for info
-tries to search ways to avoid the subject and be just in bliss but ends up researching it
-Adopts you after a while, getting you multiple therapists and such to try to understand you and to help you
nikto:
(note: I’m using singular pronouns for nikto just because it’s easier on my tired brain)
-he truly doesn’t find it as odd as the others, even having some of those tendencies himself
-more interested on how you process them then actually worried, until someone pointed out how it might land you in the army like he is
-got you therapy eventually, with a lot of debate on if he should
-didn’t adopt you because he’s not the most stable, checks up on you when he’s off duty though
Krueger:
-like nikto, he had some tendencies like that while growing up. But he noticed yours were much more severe then his once he saw exactly how little Empathy you had- laughing at hurt soldiers, touching dead bodies, etc-
-really worried about it in actuality, he didn’t want to be responsible for a kid but knew it would end worse if you got put with someone else
-attempts to talk to you about it, not getting major therapy or doctors involved but gets you a therapist just to check up that your not totally insane
-less worried about what you could do to others and more worried about you
Velikan:
-noticed it as soon as he met you, the way your eyes lit up at the bloodied knifes in the armory getting cleaned or the way you stared and poked at any dead thing you came across
-keeps it very private, glaring at anyone who tries to mention it publicly since he doesn’t need his or your mentality being questioned
-gets you a private therapist and adopts you, having a private nanny watch over you when he’s out on mission (one that he trusts of course)
-worried about what you could do to yourself and others, but secretly hopes you’ll grow up normal enough to live a decent life

are you good at character analysis? I wanna know what your analysis would be for Gaz, I’m trying to figure out his story since he’s my favorite out of TF 141
KYLE GAZ GARRICK
BASIC OVERVIEW — BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick is a British Black man who enlisted into the British Army around 2008 or 2014 (unfortunately, the developers have inconsistencies). His operator biography states 2008 while the official activision website in a blog post about MW2019 states 2014, however it does make sense for him to enlist in 2008. He would have been at least sixteen years old which is the minimum age requirement to enlist. I would like to quickly throw in that Gaz is indeed older than Soap, as this is a misconception that I surprisingly see a lot! Gaz’s blood type is B- and he currently ranks as sergeant (which according to the official British Army website, it typically takes at least twelve years in the service, however it implies it also depends on the person’s abilities).
Gaz spent four years in the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment. During these four years going through a multitude of tests and challenges before passing selection for Special Air Service (SAS). The activision blog says during MW2019, it’s his sixth year serving as a sergeant. However, as Gaz had been selected for TF141, I believe their ranks have paused in time. Gaz has mostly spent his time in anti-terrorism in his military career. He’s an expert in demolitions, VIP escorting, weapons tactics, covert surveillance, and target elimination. He’s been awarded multiple medals, and earned his Parachute Wings whilst spending time at Camp Lejeune in the U.S. whilst collaborating with Navy SEALs. Kyle is a master of evasion and deception, being the only candidate in his entire class to escape capture from the facility and evade detection during resistance training.
When Gaz first meets Cpt. Price, Gaz is currently assigned to an SAS specific counter-terrorism program in the UK who collaborate with the police, which is another misconception that Gaz was a police sergeant at one point (he was not! I believe some people think this because at E3, Gaz was wearing a police baseball cap).
CHARACTER OVERVIEW
Like true to the original Gaz, he is Price’s protege, being his student. Gaz is overall a serious and hardworking man, loyal and unbreaking. He knows when to joke and he knows when to reload. However, Gaz is not perfect and he does lose his cool (we see subtle development with this later down the road). While being loyal, Gaz does not hesitate to question Price’s choices and actions. We see this multiple times during the series, the most prime example being in MW2019 when Price and Gaz are interrogating The Butcher with Yegor. The Butcher taunts Gaz, causing Gaz to lunge and Price to send him off to fetch.. “The package”. The package being, The Butcher’s family. The reboot games, you have choices, so I’ll give the very basic run down.
You have the option to opt into the interrogation or to opt out of it. If you opt out, Price bursts out of the room with the information (if you go near the door, you hear The Butcher’s family sobbing). If you opt in, you have so many options. At the end of the day, Gaz is mostly silent and follows orders from Price. In the police cruiser scene, Gaz questions Price in the car—he did not expect to be using women and children as bargaining chips and he makes that clear, and this is a big teaching moment between Gaz and Price. We have to remember that Gaz is young and considering everything, inexperienced to an extent. Price makes up for that inexperience, teaching him along the way. During the interrogation scene, Price makes a remark: “We’ve taken the gloves off.” This is because Gaz lashed out. Later in the car, Price says “When you take the gloves off, you get blood on your hands, Kyle. That’s how it works.” after Gaz questions him.
CONCLUSION
Overall, Gaz is a very complex character and I enjoyed watching his development during these games. I’ve seen people claim Gaz is boring or plain, but I genuinely do not believe that to be the case. Gaz, in my opinion, is also the most relatable character. He’s young, ambitious, and determined. He’s charismatic and efficient. I don’t believe a character has to be extremely traumatized, or look very very unique to be a well-crafted character and Gaz is a great example for this.
Gaz is just a man who enlisted; someone who is smart and well-rounded (as much as an SAS member can be), he’s quick on his feet and he molds into group work fantastically. He’s extremely versatile and is a quick learner—and wants to learn. He has his flaws that make him human. Gaz develops great self control, is level-minded and is able to think for himself. A great student questions their mentor in everything and you see this with Gaz.
You see Gaz struggle with morality in the series in a sea of characters who kill and do things without a second thought. We see him question things, we see his emotions and his extreme reluctance. We definitely see some development down the road as Gaz becomes more ruthless, but he never quite forgets his humanity in a way, compared to Price where he can easily disconnect humanity (ex. Calling The Butcher’s wife and son “the package/leverage”).
Along with this, we see him struggle with the rules in place. I also think this is why Gaz and Price’s dynamic is great. There are rules for a reason, and both Price and Gaz know when to break them—but Gaz learns that breaking some rules doesn’t always happen for the most heroic of actions (again, Price’s quote about bloodying your hands after taking the gloves off). Gaz wants to save people and keep the peace, we see this in Piccadilly during the terrorist attacks and the aftermath scene with Price where Gaz lets the Captain know that he and his unit had actionable intel on the terrorist cell who committed the act. Of course, we see later down the road that taking the gloves off removes all limits, not just some of them. We also see a glimpse of Gaz’s conflicting feelings when 141, Farah & Alex, as well as Laswell learn about Hadir and his plans, as well as when Farah’s forces are deemed a terrorist organization.
I think I rambled on a lot about him, hopefully this is understandable!

Farah Karim x Gn!Reader <3
It had been a gruelling few weeks. Being on deployment was bad enough - sure, the brotherhood and compassion and knowledge that you were doing good was thrilling, addictive, even. And honestly, usually? You enjoyed it, to some extent. As much as you could love being trapped on one end of a war-torn land, creeping through deserted homes and ducking past hails of gunfire.
But it was bearable, because you were with Farah. No matter what, she was there, charging ahead of you, flooding your and your sibling’s ears with warm encouragement and praise - maybe even sneaking in a couple kisses here and there.
This time? You were alone. Literally alone, sent on a stakeout position that nearly dragged on months, all because of some stupid ‘high value’ target. You’d taken care of it, of course, like a good soldier. You’d let the time crawl and drag on and on, taking on and dropping different identities until they all blurred together, and you’d done it all without complaint.
All that for the idiot to go down with a single bullet through the head. Weird that something so ‘valuable’ could be so inanely delicate.
That didn’t matter anymore, though, the awful drone of your thoughts being silenced alongside the whirring drone of the helo blades.
And there she was.
The look of sheer, adoring pride on her face made your heart throb agonisingly. God, it had been too long. Way, way too long.
She wasted no time in practically dragging you out into the dusty, tepid air, her hand immediately meeting your shoulders with firm squeezes, easing your aching legs back onto solid ground.
None of the fighters had taken offence when the two of you retreated to Farah’s office after a swift welcome. They weren’t surprised. Sure, relationships between members of the ULF were strongly discouraged, but the bond between all of you was too strong for any real punishment or resentment over them. It was understood, even.
“غاليتي؟”
Her voice derailed your train of thought again.
“C’mere, love.”
You were guided down onto.. something? Something cold, and not quite wide enough to be a chair. You didn’t really mind. It had been weeks of forcing your mind to drone on and on, always on your feet, always alert, it couldn’t all be for nothing.
Now? It was a relief to just let go, let your commander, the love of your life, take over everything.
“Mind if I take these off?”
You didn’t even need to think before nodding. Despite the unspoken, ever-present trust between you, Farah was still so delicate with you, her calloused hands easing off layer after layer, hands cosily cool against your skin. The idle gush of water poured against acrylic behind you. The steam seeped into the sore muscles across your back. Farah’s hands were on your thighs. Gentle kisses pressed to each of your knees. It soothed the pain, patched up worn joints. Felt like it, at least.
“Come on, عزيزي” The words were honey on your ears, “Let’s get you comfy, yeah? You deserve it, poor thing. My poor, sweet thing.”
She didn’t struggle to lift you, her hands falling easily into place under your knees and against your back. The pour of the water had stopped, replaced with the liquid pooling against your bare skin, your body slotting perfectly into the mellowness.
Farah’s hands didn’t pull away, simply wandered up your back, tracing the contours of the muscle under your skin. Her thumbs kneaded against tense strength, the comforting, almost hypnotic touch leaving you in a state similar to that of the water you were almost melting into.
One of her hands eased off carefully, followed the soft rustle of fabric dropping to the floor and mindful shuffling. Strong calves tucked themselves under your underarms, promptly easing over your abdomen. Her plush thighs were perfect pillows, soft and comfy yet staunch enough to stretch out your neck just perfectly. Your contentment must’ve been apparent - given it was met by honeyed, strong chuckles. They only caused you to melt into her thighs even more, you’d do damn near anything to hear that again.
You’d never need to hire a masseuse anytime in the near future, not when Farah’s hands across your shoulders could make your skin go so fuzzy and have your mind almost floating away.
It didn’t take long for your eyes to fall closed, the warmth being all too much for your lethargic, exhausted mind to resist. It didn’t matter if the bath would be over by the time you woke up, nor did it matter how long it’d be until you did wake up. Because she’d be there. No matter what, no matter how long you were gone or how hurt and angry and plain tired you were? She’d always be there to give you a warm bath and let you nap in her arms.

cod writers i am fucking begging you, as a scottish man, stop using "bonnie" as a pet name. bonnie is an adjective. as in "bonnie lad" or "bonnie lass". or "you're bonnie." it's not the same as sweetheart, honey, baby, etc.
yes, bonnie means beautiful or pretty but you wouldn't say "hello, bonnie." the same way you'd use "hello, beautiful."
