Billy was not one for politicking.

He just didn't get it. Sure, he understood the very basic premise of it. It was the cutthroat backstabbing that didn't make any sense to him. There were so many other ways to get ahead in this business that didn't involve throwing your coworkers under the bus. Half of the time the politician squandered their own push by being an asshole. Then they had no fame, no job security, and no friends. So what was it all for in the end?

No, Billy didn't have to do any of that. He didn't have to rely on bottom of the barrel behavior to get over. When you were cute and good enough at your job, you got opportunities others might not get. Being a good fuck helped too of course.  Billy couldn't just blurt that out to the rookies he trained, though. If they spent any longer than a few months wrestling they'd find out soon enough. 

The arrival of CM Punk at AEW only reiterated how nerve-wracking the whole politicking business was. Here he was causing problems backstage by getting in Tony Khan's ear, telling him who should stay and who should go. Billy didn't understand why Tony took so much stock in his opinion. It couldn't have only been because he was a huge fan on a very expensive nostalgia trip. Maybe Punk was pulling some moves he was once quite familiar with. 

"'Scuse me, Billy."

"Huh? Oh." Billy realized he was standing in front of Punk's locker and moved to give him access.

In some way he reminded him of himself. They were quite literally in the same position at one point in their careers. Bent over a desk all ready and open for the push. Throwing their heads back, letting their hair swing freely and their voices groan the boss' name…

"Didn't mean to interrupt your thoughts."

"'Cause were the same."

"I don't see how."

Punk sighed. The conversation was quickly becoming boring. Billy was too much of a vet to get caught up so easily. It meant he actually had to try , something he didn’t have to do much any more. Although the challenge was slightly infuriating, it was fun too. Being a tease like this, pissing off someone he knew couldn’t stand him… it was almost better than sex. Almost.

"We're both here in the twilights of our careers, some would say." Punk rolled his eyes quickly, trying to pull Billy in. See, I’m on your side! 

"After years of going from company to company with varying degrees of success, we’ve settled down here. We did what we had to to be the best. You know how it is."

Billy knew he was right. Of course he was right. The difference between them, the thing that proved that they weren't the same was the bragging. Billy didn't need to brag. He was secure enough in himself to let his career speak for itself. These assumptions were all a part of Punk’s silly games. If he needed this to feel better about himself, so be it. Billy could play along. 

"'Not in the way you mean.' Oh, please, Billy. Save it for the kids out there. I bet you were a really good fuck back in the day."

Punk wasn’t surprised at the lack of response.

Glitches

Easy Outside The Ring Glitch

To do this easier, set it to no count infinite finishers and no DQ. You have to throw the opponent into the corner of the barricade. Press Y to break the barricade. Then get steel steps. MAKE SURE HE IS BY THE CORNER. Once he gets up press A then you will throw the steps on him. Finally Run at him while he is on the ground. And there you go you are outside in the crowd. If you failed MAKE SURE HE WAS IN THE CORNER!
