dan and blair + the part of juliet's plan vanessa and jenny were aware of and helped with was devious and pathetic but also... really not on a different level than most of the other questionable things done on this show and it is therefore slightly batshit to use this event to say that vanessa/jenny are the most morally questionable characters on the show...

A piece of happiness
This is a small drabble for my lovely @asktheseawitch. May it give you joy and happiness.
Marco walked out of his room, knowing that there was a high risk he would run into someone that asked him to do the impossible - keeping Luffy away from trouble. The only one succeeding in this was Luffy’s crew mates and Ace. Of course the only thing Whitebeard did was laughing at the shenanigans of the Straw Hat captain. While some of it was amusing, Marco just got a headache from all the various way the kid got into danger and that on the ship of the strongest crew, while no enemies was in sight.
Why was the Straw Hat crew here? Well, it all had to do with one of their crew mates getting married to Marco’s brother. Luffy found it interesting at first, but had the attention spawn of a toddler. Soon somethign else caught his interest and botering the crew was one of them. Like asking Marco if he pooped in his Phoenix form - Marco had facepalmed, while Thatch of course laughed his ass off and was about to answer for Marco. Only to get hit by Nami. Now that was a scary woman.
That was why Marco had been hiding in his room most of the time. First of all he didn’t want to deal with his brothers’ complains over the hyper Straw Hat captain and secondly he didn’t want to be the peace maker between Thatch and Sanji. The two cooks clashed, which had surprised Marco at first, as they had the same passion. However, Sanji’s odd decision to only give the females the best of the best and the men could settle with whatever he felt like making, was not settling well with Thatch. Marco could understand, not liking that Sannji regarded men as less worth of delicious food.
Besides that, Sanji’s flirting was even worse than Thatch’s or Marco would say swooning. To the Phoenix, Sanji was still a child, one that needed to grow up a little more. Respecting and treating people - especially his nakama - based on their personality and not gender, was somethign the cook could learn. Not that Marco would teach him that. No, Sanji would have to grow and learn when he was ready to do so.
Anyway, the reason why Marco left his room, risking to be caught up in the troubles the Straw Hat crew was causing some people, was because he felt restless and stressed. He needed to get wind beneath his wings, but he didn’t want to fly alone.
Ignoring the pleas for help, Marco went to the one place on the ship where he knew she was. Serena, the bride-to-be. She was currently watching Zoro fighting against Vista and Marco had to admit that the swordsman had great potential. Zoro was a good choice for a nakama and while he wasn’t mentioned as the first mate, Marco knew that the swordsman was the closest person to be called a first mate. Zoro was dedicated, hard working and observant, besides on the guard all the time.
“Serena, do you have a moment, yoi?” Marco asked, noticing from the corner of his eyes how Zoro glared a brief second at him, without missing a beat in the fight. Quite impressive, when thinking that he was fighting against Vista.
The woman looked at him and smiled brightly. “Sure, why?” She rose and waited for his answer. Marco smiled softly to her. “I’m about to take off, but would love some company. Would you do me the honor of gliding through the air with me, yoi?” There was a soft smirk on his lips.
He had barely finished his sentence, before Serena grinned with a mischievious glint in her eyes. “Well, if you can catch up with me, then I wouldn’t mind.” She said, arms shifting into wings as she spoke. Marco was ready and even before she had finished turning completely and took off, he was transformed too. Serena left the ship only half a second before Marco did.
The went up high, but not so high that they couldn’t see the ships. Marco had caught up with her even before they were above the highest mast, but she didn’t seem to mind. They pushed each other to their limits, flying fast at first, to only be gliding above the sea.
It was freeing to fly above and underneath the blue. Marco loved he feeling and knew so did Serena. As the were flying, he felt how all the stress left his shoulders, as a small piece of happiness filled his heart. He loked at Serena, before flying as close to her as he could. “You know, I couldn’t have asked for a better sister. It’s nice to have someone to fly with, yoi.” He cooed, his flames gently dancing over her hair, as if he was petting her head.
A soft coo was all he got in return, but words didn’t matter any longer. The way she shifted a little closer and the smile that danced in her eyes, was enough to tell him what she felt. In silence the two glided above the sea, sometimes diving in visual range of the ships, so their family knew they were still doing fine.
Between them was a perfect harmony. Marco closed his eyes for a moment, before they decended back to the ship. They had flown for quite a while, but time had stood still for them. Only because Serena was getting tired, did then land where they took off. Marco didn’t feel the same tiredness, but he knew it was due to his powers.
As they landed, Izo was waiting for them. With a soft smile he pulled his wife-to-be into his arms, kissing her head lightly. Marco smiled, as Serena snuggled a little closer to Izo. His eyes met with Izo’s and all Marco saw was a silent thanks.
Life would never be the same on the ship, but at least there was a piece of happiness in their life.
