Her sword cut through the air as nimble and fast as a wisp of wind and hit with the sharp side against one of the many branches of the Palus. The constructs upper part was pushed in a circle and turned, so Mar had to hasty lean herself back when one of the other branches of the Palus swung to the place where her head had been just a second before, only for her, as soon as the upper branch had passed, to jump up so her feet would not be ripped away under her when the subsided part of the Palus swung itself into the other direction than the upper part. The Palus was old, it was build from heavy wood connected with chains and gears to make its different parts move in differnet directions so it would mimic a moving opponent in battle attacking and avoiding, but in the last hours of training Mar had learned the mechanics movements by heart. Over the old mechanics creaking the Halforcs huffing was almost silent.So the construct creaked like an old door and the mechanism inside it groaned even louder for it seemed to be years from the lat time the mechnism had been oiled. Mar, still in the movement landed on her left foot, swirled around and with still the impact of her turn hit with all her force the side of her sword this time against the Palus itself and not one of its branches .

There was a loud creak, like the breaking of brittle wood and suddenly the whole construct crushed to the side, heavy, loud, and unstoppable like a tree struked down by lightening.

Oh, shi-

The Halforc had not even time to finish the thought, when the Palus crushed to the side. Mar jumped back as hasty as a startled cat and stumbled against one of the simple claywalls surrounding the trainingsarea. For a second she looked moveless at the trainingsconstruct she had just destroyed, her breath leaving her lungs hasty, sweat sticking like a second skin to her bare arms, shoulders and stomach.

Then she looked around. Dust rose from the destroyed Palus and the faint creaking of the mechanic guts of the mechanisms inside hung in the air, but this time Mars still from the training raspy breathing was louder. Noone was there. Except one. Mar narrowed her eyes to thin slits, the hand closed hard around the hilt of her sword. “you have seen nothing!”, she hissed in the pale mans direction, her ears pinned back and her tusks bared like a snarling dog.
