@pennjillette said that art is the collision of the intellectual with the visceral as fast as possible. I love that description. This #photo is from a #photoshoot I did last year with the fabulous @modeljusticelee . Unfortunately she has taken a lot flack, and some serious #hate for the #shoot because it makes people uncomfortable or goes against their beliefs. @facebook has even put her into #facebookjail multiple times not because of what she did or posted, but because the way others reacted. This includes threats of harm against her and what those who buy into the #myth of #race would call #racialslurs and #racism , #punishthevictum #hypocritical As the #photographer I was happy to make her vision come true. I am glad it has some people thinking about the clashing ideals and beliefs we think we should hold today, but am saddened by the #badbehavior of those who #disagree with the #art and it's #comentary on #modern #socialissues and #zeitgeist If you don't like it, fine. Feel free to express yourself on it and why. But don't threaten people, don't try to shutdown the discussion.
