NGC 7822 - The Question Mark Nebula I attempted this target earlier in the year using the L-eNhance filter and once I got the L-eXtreme I wanted to give it another go. Captured over 3 nights at the end of imaging sessions, I was able to capture 4.5 hours and it blows my 3 hours with the L-eNhance away. 94.1% moon colorized using RGB filters, may 2018 So whats up with those colors? Isn't it just bright and grey? Are those colors Real? Yes! they are, you just cant see them with your eyes because of how bright the moon appears. They have actually been boosted, amplified, saturated and sharpened to show off the mineral deposits. Most of the colors you see represent Iron and Titanium rich deposits. Blue hues are rich in these, as for the red to brown/orange hues; weaker. Gso 6" ritchey chretien telescope, heq5 mount, astrophysics ccdt67 reducer spaced for .72x reduction, asi1600mm cool with 8 position electronic filter wheel using only rgb filters. Gain settings: red 152, green 139, blue 186 Each filter had a 1min video recorded via firecapture then took each video placed into autostakkert 2! To take the best 10% of video frames and then stack them as one image per rgb.
