So I've started reading 20th Century Boys and I put together a ton of references so I can draw the best and coolest character of the manga (Otcho) accurately
Thought some other people might want to use it as well so here you go! Various manga panels and all the art in color I could find so far. (text in portuguese cause I'm reading brazilian scans)

Man, you know when you revisit some bit of media you liked when you were younger and you remember how much you used to ship something?
I’ve been buying the ‘perfect editions’ of 20th Century Boys as they come out, and I’d totally forgotten how much I shipped Otcho and Kenji. And according the AO3 I’m the only person in the world who does but man, I really just wanted those two to be happy together at the end of the story because they’ve got like 30 years of mutually unrequited pining to make up for.

Otcho and Grimmer
I find the characteristics between Otcho (from Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys) and Grimmer (Monster) to be astoundingly similar.
First off, both of them possess an extreme amount of physical strength. Though Grimmer's strength usually comes from his alternative personality, it's revealed later in the series that he too is capable of killing someone.
Next, there's the obvious; they're both insanely tall. Tall enough to be intimidating, but you learn that on the inside they're both softies (well, unless you come across The Magnificent Steiner).
Both of them also easily befriend the protagonist (Kenji in 20th CB and Kenzo in Monster) and seem to get along well with other characters. Both are also willing to risk their own lives for the benefits of their friends.
The most similar thing about the two though is their history. Both of them got married in their 20's. During this time, they both had sons. Tragically though, their sons passed away, and I believe that played a huge role in the personalities of both characters. Otcho and Grimmer never forgot them and regretted not spending enough time with them, which made both of them want to live on and become stronger for the sake of their sons.
A crossover in which Grimmer and Otcho meet would be awesome, but I guess I can only dream. They seem like they would get along so well because of the characteristics they share.

(20thCB chapter 59 spoilers)
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT
When this guy said this about Otcho on chapter 32 I thought it was a just a rumor but then chapter 59 comes around and
HE REALLY IS FULL OF SCARS!!! Now I'm wondering if the rumors were always true or if he only got the scars while in prison and the rumor ended up materializing over time…

"Light": A Fandub of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys
A dramatic piece I've been working on for a while. This is from 20th Century Boys, a fantastic manga by Naoki Urasawa. It's taken from the fourth volume, but I feel that it works as a stand-alone piece.
For those who are unfamiliar with 20th Century Boys, this takes place in a world that is slowly being taken over by an enigmatic cult leader called "The Friend." In this particular scene, a man in Thailand named Shogun travels to an isolated temple to confront a deranged manager of a Friend-run factory that manufactures "Rainbow Kid," a hallucinogenic drug. Through the effects of the drug, Shogun reflects on his not so happy life and the fears that he had to confront along the way.
Two chapters were combined for this video, the beginning of "Rainbow Kid" and the entire chapter of "Light."
