💥 Digital Intelligence 💥
Using Gardner's theory of multiple intelligence, researchers came up with Emotional Intelligence. Now we have digital intelligence for the new age digital world.
@chieflearningofficer has introduced me with this new emerging concept where learners have to be "digitally intelligent" to be at par with the competition and the requirements by the new businesses and ventures.
Even though we think we are tech-savvy, we still need to analyse and see if we really are digitally intelligent or in slang - tech-savvy.
So according to researchers in leadership behavior field, there are majorly 3 parameters where your digital skills and experience are measured:
1️⃣ Analytical or cognitive - this is my favourite one where we see whether you have skills that will help in making sense of the Digital world. Such as critical thinking skills, solving complex problems, interpretation of the data at hand.
2️⃣ Collaborative skill - This is where you are networking and collaborating with other people, via new mediums and new techniques. Be it another video-calling software or pitching your ideas through a video curated by your rookie Canva skills. The fact is that you are collaborating and expanding beyond your comfort zone of calling up your friends.
3️⃣Practical - As Sternberg and Kaufman says - "Practical Intelligence". We need to understand and apply our verbal and written communication skills in such a manner that we are able to navigate through this Digital system. This is a combined version of your self-awareness with your quick decision making, but in digital world.
