FMI, l’allarme inatteso: crisi senza precedenti, peggiorano ancora le previsioni. Il nuovo allarme del Fondo Monetario Internazionale: nonostante le riaperture, la situazione è più drammatica del previsto Il FMI ha suonato un nuovo campanello d’allarme riguardante le sorti dell’economia globale. Mentre molti osservatori si sono progressivamente dimostrati più ottimisti, grazie al progressivo allentamento delle misure restrittive e alla ripartenza di molte economie, l’ultima analisi del fondo non ha lasciato ben sperare. Le previsioni formulate dal FMI nel mese di aprile, dunque in piena emergenza coronavirus, potrebbero addirittura essere riviste al ribasso. Allarme FMI: cosa accadrà davvero L’economia globale si contrarrà molto di più di quanto inizialmente stimato. A dirlo il chief economist del Fondo Monetario Internazionale, Gita Gopinath. Nel mese di aprile, quando la maggior parte dei Paesi europei è finita in lockdown, il FMI ha previsto una crisi finanziaria peggiore di quella osservata durante la Grande Depressione degli anni ’30 e ha stimato una flessione del 3% per il 2020.
