Chayenzo Coffee Shop AU, University edition.

Every day, international student Vincenzo Cassano comes to the Coffee Bean for an espresso, and every day barista Hong Chayoung falls a little more in love with him. 

All the girls on campus want to date him because he’s handsome, athletic and intelligent, but all Chayoung wishes is to put a smile on his face. He’s always so serious with a sadness lurking in his eyes.

But Vincenzo never notices her, and doesn’t know she exists.

Chayenzo Long Distance Relationship AU

After he leaves Korea,  Vincenzo doesn’t call or email or text. He’s concerned that they could be intercepted which would be disastrous for Chayoung.

Instead, he writes.

Initially, he only sends postcards. 

They’re bright blue, the color of the Mediterranean sea, and he’d use the pen she’d gifted him to send well wishes. But the space to write in was never enough, just like their time together and soon he begins actual letter writing. 

His letters are brief at first but as time passes, they grow longer and longer till every month, Chayoung is sure to receive a fat envelope, with pages and pages of of Vincenzo’s blocky handwriting. 

These letters to Chayoung are a journal of sorts, containing Vincenzo’s hopes and fears, his dreams and desires, and at the center of it all, his love for her.

And she cherishes his writing, eager for when they could finally be together and she needn’t wait on love letters.
