Gojo can punch Megumi (still within Sukuna’s body somewhere) without holding back because he knows that Megumi is strong, but also that Megumi would not want Sukuna to succeed, especially while harnessing his power and wearing his face. As for the throwaway Toji face. Well, Gojo’s gotta tell himself something. ;-) But also, what of Toji’s power has Megumi gained/inherited? And, Gojo does have to defeat Sukuna, so if he tells himself he’s beating a foe (Toji) instead of a loved one (Megumi) then he can fight Sukuna, which is what he has to do.

The suhak part was good and touching. But what I couldn't enjoy is the message the narrative was trying to give through Suwons inner monologue. That the war cant be own if not for the powers of the dragons and yona. So Il was absolutely right about Yona and her dragons saving the kingdom and Suwon was the stupid guy to rely on human powers. Now Suwon gonna accept that humans are indeed helpless, can't be saved w/o divine powers. Hes gonna bow down to the heavens and its so meh

Yes. Indeed. And that is the strange part regarding this manga.

After all, the gods in these story aren´t exactly portrayed very friendly or even just or good. It is made entirely clear that they favor King Hiryuu and would sacrifice every human being for him.

Also...Zeno is another part that poses questions....Remember...he tells us from a love for Hiryuu by the gods that is just too big...There is a hidden criticism...

Last but not least...The message that human beings can influence their destiny and even go against the gods might be a narrative that alligns more with common values today.

All this and that about Megumi dying at the hands of Gojo in this fight or not being cared for has me more and more convinced there's absolutely plans for him to be saved. Gojo has death flags (or likeliest-to-be-taken-out-of-this-fight flags), so Sukuna as Megumi isn't going to be defeated that easily. Gojo may or may not be bluffing about mourning Megumi after killing Sukuna. But either way, Kashimo has been wanting to fight Sukuna and Yuuji has Yuki's journal, seemingly a soul swapping cursed technique, and trained with Kasukabe, so there's more coming to this fight that they have been knowingly planning for.

We may not know everything Gojo is actually thinking, but I have complete faith in Yuuji's determination to save Megumi and I can't see a plan not being made to kill Sukuna AND save Megumi. Whether or not that's successful remains to be seen. There's no way Yuuji was training a soul swapping technique just for fighting Kenjaku. Yes, absolutely he could die lol but there’s no way yuuji isn't going to try to save him if there’s even the smallest chance of it working—If there’s anyone in this series who would do everything to save the other, its Yuuji and Megumi for each other.
