SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2016 WEEK 12
SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2016 WEEK 12
Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?
To quench my thirst, I would definitely drink some [filtered/purified/pristine] Smart Water.  Is the water actually smart? Absolutely! I’ve always been told, “You ARE what you drink.”…Well, that’s not the precise wording of the well-known quote, however, in my own mind, it works.
What made you feel good this past week?
Does today…

It’s been a while (seemingly) since I’ve participated in one of Cee’s Photo Challenges- far, far too long.  To get back into the “swing” of things, I am starting off with a REAL challenge.
I am in the baby stages- possibly the toddler stages…MAYBE, of photography. Every time I pick up my camera, it is a challenge. Shooting at random, praying something falls into place, USED to be my mode of operation, however, the challenge has begun to morph and grow into truly learning the craft behind the composition.
The next paragraph describes the CHALLENGE from Cee’s page (woohoo!) and past that, you will find my attempts at following the CHALLENGE properly! HINT: If you place your cursor over the pictures, you can read the captions.
The Challenge
Post pictures of your comfort zone in terms of focal length from the subject. Then add photos the new ways that you’ve tried. Add comments and tell us how that change in perspective felt to you. What did you learn about yourself? About your vision of the world? About your camera?
Most importantly, did you have fun?
MY COMFORT ZONE: Somewhat up-close (without actually getting close) using my EF 75-300 Zoom lens.  Generally outdoors, using natural lighting and vibrant natural colors.
STEPPING AWAY FROM MY COMFORT ZONE:
Comfortably Zoomed…
VS. incorporating the discomfort via Zooming OUT
Comfortable…
VS. Uncomfortable via allowing MORE trees “join” the picture.
Q:  The final question to sum up the challenge was: “DID YOU HAVE FUN?”
A:  That would be a HUGE “YES!”
Extra credit for Gold Star Award:   Post pictures of the same subject at different focal lengths, and tell us which one shot you liked best and why.
I fear the tiny spec that is a hot air balloon…however the amazing sky painting around the “spec” is what encouraged the Un-Zooming of my fatal attraction to the ZOOM!;)
I love the ZOOM! It allows a view you just could not get with your eyes.
Panning out from the detail of the tracks allows for the unveiling of a beautiful trail. Removing the color to reveal a sense of nostalgia is yet another joy of breaking the OCD/Zoom mechanism which often overtakes my photographic soul…;)
Again, The ZOOM took over my camera…I love the detail in the muddy tracks.
Now that I’ve shared a billion photos, It’s time to let my poor, overworked old MacBook take a rest!
Blessings!
Greta
