Moon 140-Leaf-fall

Chasingskip (52) and Caterpillarmallow’s (90) kits have been made apprentices! When it’s time for her ceremony, Burrowkit (6) runs up to the front of the crowd in excitement, eager to get her name. She’s apprenticed to Amethystdapple (67), as it’s long past time for the senior warrior to get her first apprentice. Cypresspaw (6), despite having a medium powerful wind blessing, has been apprenticed to the powerless Cressfreckle (56). She’s not sure how she feels about that. Does he even know how to train her to use her powers to fight? Cressfreckle assures her that he does. He has experience working with wind-blessed cats. Sleepypaw (6) is given to Steppemimic (23) as an apprentice and is excited to learn how to be a Healer and fill out ElementClan’s complement of them. Caterpillarmallow is a little nervous about having one of her kits in the healer's den with her, and she confesses as much to her sister-in-law, Frostheart (43). The other she-cat reassures her that she’ll do great. Moorleg (52) is a little frustrated to be stuck in camp again after getting injured. She’s been telling jokes about Burrowpaw and wonders how easy it would be to attack Yuccastar from where she’s laying. . .not that she would ever do that. Strawberrytrail (128) notices that Gladepatch (16) has been a little distracted lately and convinces him to play a game. Cressfreckle watches and thinks about how Yellowcreek used to love hanging out with the elders. There’s so much of the father in the son. It helps ease the ever present ache in Cressfreckle’s heart.

Moon 139-Leaf-fall

Sadly, Minha (25) was unable to heal from her broken back and passed away. Mothecho (18) thinks about her dead sisters and stares off into space. She wishes she could have made this right. But sometimes it feels like her fire powers are only capable of destruction. She wishes she could heal or soothe, but instead she can burn. It hurts, being the only one left in her family. In lighter news, the older cats enjoy seeing the kits playing in the piles of leaves at the edge of camp. Peakspots (108) remembers his time in the nursery with his moms and how he played. It was a good time, before all the heartache. He hopes that these kits will only know joy and love. With her kits getting older, Chasingskip (51) is excited to be out of the nursery. Sleepykit’s (5) quiet insistence and Burrowkit’s (5) constant playing are getting on her nerves. Sleepykit is really excited for when she’ll get to be a Healer apprentice. She’s taken to sitting in on Clan meetings, very quietly, even though she should still be in the nursery. Chasingskip has also been coming to the healer's den more often, to ask Caterpillarmallow (89) for help with their kits. Conegoat thinks she’s annoying. She’s heard about how Chasingskip doesn’t want Caterpillarmallow too involved with the kits. Now that they’re older she’s begging for help?! Rude. Gladepatch (15) is enjoying his role as a full Healer, but he can’t help but watch Peakspots closely. He doesn’t feel like the deputy is being completely honest. Gladepatch knows that Yuccastar killed his brother, along with some other cats. Did they tell Peakspots? Gladepatch is also wanting to get to know Graysong’s side of the family better, specifically his aunt Frostheart (42).

Moon 138-Leaf-fall

After moons and moons of slow burn romance, rejection, and uncertainty, Peakspots (107) gets up the courage to confess his love to Yuccastar (117). He’s shocked when they reciprocate and the two become mates. Moorleg (50) watches this romantic exchange and wonders if her love story can also get a happy ending. She confesses to Cressfreckle (54) and. . .gets rejected. He’s barely recovered from the loss of his mates and is not looking for any other romance. He’s polite about it, but it’s still a rejection. Also, Cressfreckle has more on his mind than potential mates. His son has been made a full Healer! During his ceremony, Gladepaw (14) is visited by his dead mentor, Needlepelt, along with his parents: Airclaw, Graysong, and Yellowcreek. They assure him that he’ll be alright without them, and that he’s ready for his full name. Resting her muzzle on Gladepaw’s head, Needlepelt names him Gladepatch, in honor of his resilience. Cressfreckle could not be prouder of him. He’s been through so much in his short life, but he’s such a kind and lively young cat. He’ll do well in the healer's den. Cressfreckle is also, as always, looking out for the young members of the Clan. He notices how helpful Pigeonpaw (7) is being around the camp, such as by encouraging the thorns in the barrier to grow. She’s making the best use of her weak earth-blessing. Frostheart (41) has been quite invested in the healer's den lately, as her only remaining family resides there. And they’re actually able to communicate with her dead relatives. She annoys Caterpillarmallow (88) by constantly asking the Healers if they’ve heard from StarClan. She hasn't. Steppemimic (21) has been hearing StarClan voices lately though. . .While on a patrol, Mothecho (17) and Fry (45) come across an injured kittypet named Minha (24). Her back is broken, and Mothecho can’t help but think about Lilyshade. Her sister couldn’t survive it, but maybe this cat can. They bring her back to camp and the Healers get to work.

Moon 137-Greenleaf

The broken back proved too much for Lilyshade (16) to handle and she passed away. Mothecho (16) is devastated. After the vigil, she rubs her eyes wearily, gazing into the vast sky. Perhaps Lilyshade has already found her way to StarClan, and she’ll spot a new star in Silverpelt tonight. She can’t believe she’s the only surviving member of her family. Her sisters were supposed to be the powerful ones, the magnificent star-blessed cats. But now they’re both gone and it’s just her left. In happier news, Pigeonpaw (6) and Rustpaw (6) are now apprentices. Pigeonpaw has been apprenticed to Frostheart (40), to give the warrior her first apprentice, and Rustpaw has been apprenticed to Chiku (71). Knowing what it feels like to grow up in the Clan with no parents, Mothecho has taken Rustpaw under her wing and is looking out for the new apprentice. Speaking of parenting, Caterpillarmallow (87) feels like Chasingskip (49) is being too lax with their kits, but Chasingskip doesn’t feel that way. She had a lot of freedom as a kit and turned out fine, why woundn’t her kits? And Caterpillarmallow isn’t even her mate! Why should she get a big say in how Chasingskip parents?

Meta: I made Pigeonpaw a warrior apprentice even though she's an Earth-blessed cat because the limit on Healers in the game rules was set at five cats. We currently have four Healers, but Sleepykit has a stronger Earth-blessing than Pigeonpaw. So it made more sense to me to have Sleepykit become a Healer and Pigeonpaw become a warrior instead of the other way around.

Moon 136-Greenleaf

Lilyshade (15) is still hanging on. She’s trying to use her star-blessed powers to heal her back, but it’s delicate work. And the Healers don’t have much experience with an injury of this magnitude. She hopes she’ll make it through leaf-bare, but she’s just not sure if she will. She has been bonding with Moorleg (48) over their injuries. Lilyshade can always make Moorleg laugh with her bad jokes. Gladepaw (12) is impatient to become a full Healer, like his father, and thinks that Caterpillarmallow (86) is babying him a bit. She’s so annoying! Despite being a warrior apprentice at first, Steppemimic (19) has grown to love being a Healer, and she’s quite good at it too. She’s been working on some healing/PT with Lilyshade. Moorleg has been a little rough during training lately. She draws blood while helping Conegoat (19) brush up on some battle moves and says it was an accident. Conegoat doesn’t believe her. Chervilcry (115) is spending some time with her grandkits and enjoys chatting with Burrowkit (2). Yuccastar (115) wanted a break from being seen by the Clan, so Peakspots (105) covered for them and let her take a nap in the middle of the day.

Moon 135-Greenleaf

Lilypaw (14) has finally been made a warrior! She is given the name of Lilyshade, in honor of her pragmatism. She has grown quite close with Yuccastar (114), and wonders if, one day, Yuccastar will make her deputy. Peakspots (104) is getting old after all-and he’s been deputy since, like, forever. Moorleg (47) is still struggling to adjust to having a weaker leg. She’s been arguing with Caterpillarmallow (85) and ignoring cats who she promised to spend time with, like Peakspots. Additionally, Caterpillarmallow feels like Wildcave (18) is hiding something. But what? She’ll have to keep an eye on him. He comes around to visit his siblings in the Healer's den often enough. Chasingskip (47) honestly never thought she’d have a chance with Cressfreckle (51). But now that his mates are gone, well. . .his eyes are really pretty. She’s also been enjoying spending time with Rustkit (4) and Pigeonkit (4). The older kits have been very sweet to her kits and are surprisingly well adjusted for having no parent in the nursery with them. They’re much more relaxed than most of her kits. But she also thinks that Cypresskit (1) is surprisingly kind. She’s always looking out for her mother. Despite being excited for her first patrol, Lilyshade proves to be a little too eager and gets hit by a monster and breaks her back. She’s still alive. For now.

Moon 134-Newleaf

Chasingskip (46) has had her kits! Interestingly, afterwards, Chasingskip encourages Caterpillarmallow (84) to come meet them. Hmmm. . .she must be their other mom. The kits are sweet little Burrowkit (0), who has a very weak wind blessing; the anxious Cypresskit (0), who’s wind-blessing is already making twigs fly around the nursery; and the ever polite Sleepykit (0), who has been growing leaves on those twigs using her strong earth-blessing. Chasingskip is feeling a little overwhelmed by having kits and just wants to spend time alone. Chervilcry (113), on the other paw, is happy to have grandkids. In the romance department, after moons of unrequited love, Yuccastar (113) is starting to reciprocate Peakspots’ (103) crush on them. Chervilcry, trying to reform a bond with her sibling, gives them advice and assures them that she will be there for her no matter what happens with Peakspots. Moorleg (46) was recently injured and is trying to adjust to having a weakened leg. She’s frustrated that Gladepaw (10) gets to go on more patrols than she does. Gladepaw doesn’t realize this and just appreciates how helpful Moorleg has been in the healer's den lately. Pigeonkit (3) is excited to be an apprentice and just wants to spend time with Lilypaw (13) to hear all about her amazing training sessions.

Moon 133-Newleaf

Mothpaw (12) has been made a warrior with the name of Mothecho for her hard work. She was worried that Yuccastar (112) hadn’t been paying attention to how well she’s been doing in training, since she’s used to being outtshone (literally) by her sister. But Yuccastar assured her that she was. Speaking of fire-blessed cats, Wildcave (16) is a bit jealous of Strawberrytail’s (121) power and thinks that she’s been acting stuck up and rude. Cressfreckle (49), despite still missing his mates, is still the heartthrob of the Clan. Cats are flirting with him, to which he is oblivious. Caterpillarmallow (83) is annoyed because she feels like they’re disrespecting Graysong’s memory. Meanwhile, Gladepaw (9) notices how tired his dad has been lately and brings him his favorite piece of fresh-kill decorated with flowers that he grew himself. Conegoat (16) has grown quite fond of Gladepaw during the short time he has been her apprentice and adds a bit of his fluff to her nest. Meanwhile, the kits really look up to the young warriors. Rustkit (2) always wants to pretend to be Mothecho in her games and Pigeonkit (16) thinks Wildcave’s pelt is super pretty. Feeling the need to go gather more materials to shore up the dens, Lupinefrost (16) decides to go on a solo patrol and ends up getting ambushed by a gang of rogues. He can’t defend himself properly and is found the next day, cold and covered in wounds.

Moon 132-Newleaf

Newleaf was supposed to be a new start. Everything was going so well. Chasingskip (44) had announced that she was expecting kits, thrilling Chervilcry (111) who’s excited to have Grandkits. However, the excitement was short-lived after Needlepelt (35) was found dead near the ChaffinchClan border. ElementClan had just made peace with their neighbors. Do they want to start a war again? Caterpillarmallow (82) feels like she has lost a tail, or a limb, or a shadow. She relied on Needlepelt, trusted her, and contemplating moving on from the loss seems impossible. Caterpillarmallow trembles, tearing at her nest, unable to sleep as she broods over Needlepelt’s last moments. Did she suffer? Was she scared? Was there something Caterpillarmallow could have done to better protect her co-worker? She can’t shake the crushing guilt. Frostheart (35) is shocked that she and Gladepaw (8) are the only surviving members of Brightfalcon and Bushmask’s family. How did their large family dwindle to so few? Caterpillarmallow’s grief has been making her testy. She snaps at little Rustkit (1) and gets in a fight with her that Chervilcry ends up breaking up. Meanwhile, Lupinefrost (15) has been developing a bit of a crush on Frostheart. He stays up all night thinking about ways to impress her.

Moon 131-Leaf-bare

Conepaw (14) has received her Healer name of Conegoat, honoring her nurturing presence. She feels like there’s still so much to learn and frets about whether or not she is ready. Caterpillarmallow (81) assures her that StarClan will always be there to guide her. Needlepelt (34) knows that her brother’s kit has gone through a lot of loss in his young life and wonders how he’s doing. Gladepaw’s (7) her apprentice, but she doesn’t feel like she knows her nephew very well. She’ll have to fix that. Cressfreckle (47) is feeling exhausted. He’s been working so hard keeping an eye on the Clan's young cats that he hasn’t taken much time for himself. Frostheart (34) is also wondering how Gladepaw is doing. She hasn’t really been a part of his life, as she wasn’t close with her brother, but Gladepaw seems like a decent cat. She may want to get to know him. In other news, the newcomer Strawberrytrail (119) has decided to retire. She may as well make the best use of Clan life, right? While on patrol, the Healers come across two kits next to the dead body of their mother. One of them, Pigeonkit (0), has a weak earth-blessing, while the other, Rustkit (0), is powerless.

Moon 128-Leaf-fall

After four long moons, the war with ChaffinchClan has ended. To celebrate, Wildpaw (11) has been made a warrior. His name is Wildcave, honoring his unpredictability. Fry (35) is so proud of his first kit to become a warrior and is excited for when the rest of his kits will begin the next phase in their journeys. Yuccastar (107) is checking in with her apprentice, making sure that Lilypaw (7) is alright after the deaths of her father and sister. They've noticed that Lilypaw’s glow has been dimmer lately. Almost as dim as Yuccastar’s own. Lilypaw responds that she’s doing alright. She just. . .really wants to be safe and follow all the rules. Caterpillarmallow (78) is feeling protective over the Healer apprentices. She promises to always look out for Conepaw (11) and surprises Steppepaw (11) with something nice. Gladekit (4) has also taken to spending time with Caterpillarmallow and Needlepelt (31), who are his aunts, in the Healer's den. He wants to learn more about his father’s work and what he’ll be doing once he becomes an apprentice.

Moon 124-Greenleaf

The Clan has been hit hard this moon. First, a ChaffinchClan attack on Brightfalcon (167) cost the beloved elder her life, starting a war with ChaffinchClan. Then, in what should have been a joyous moment with Airclaw (66) announcing that she was expecting kits and picking out a nest in the nursery next to Yellowcreek’s (51), with Cressfreckle (40) and Graysong (37) right beside her, Yellowcreek started kitting. Early. Too early. He had two kits but had lost too much blood. Nothing Graysong, Caterpillarmallow (74), or Needlepelt (27) could do could save him. Maybe he could have saved himself if he hadn’t been so afraid of his magic. In the end, the prejudice he faced because of his magic was what cost him his life. Yellowcreek lived just long enough to meet his kits surrounded by the cats he loved before he passed. And was surprised to find himself in StarClan, not the dark forest, being greeted by the dark-cursed cats who came before him: Shadestar and Skydawn. They welcomed him with open arms, but he still wishes he could be there for his family. Airclaw, Cressfreckle, and Graysong all spend the vigil curled up next to Yellowcreek’s body. Cressfreckle and Airclaw never officially became mates with Yellowcreek, but they hope that he knows they loved him. Romantically. Airclaw manages to hold it together for the vigil, but breaks down once she’s alone. She curses the world that took Yellowcreek instead of her. Cressfreckle sobs the whole night long. He wishes he would just wake up from this nightmare and his best friend and love would be next to him. When the sun rises after a sleepless night, he dwells on how this is the first morning of his life that he and Yellowcreek have not shared. Graysong grabs some foliage from Yellowcreek’s nest, comforted by the scent of his mate. It comforts him as he curls around their kits and manages to drift off into sleep. The Clan is also hit hard by the loss of Brightfalcon. She was the oldest cat in the Clan and beloved by many. Bushmask (134) doesn’t know what to do with the loss of his mate. He can’t believe that she and so many of their kits are gone. At least she, Stormrush, Antlersky, and Rosemaryquake are all reunited in StarClan. Yellowcreek’s kits survive the kitting and are named Fumblekit (0) and Gladekit (0). Gladekit got Graysong’s earth-blessing and is already making the plants around him grow to hide him so he can sneak up on the older kits. Fumblekit on the other paw. . .well, the plants seem to grow towards him as well. But Caterpillarmallow is surprised when she checks in on him to see steam rising from his pelt as well. And he’s not glowing. . .she looks at Graysong, who curls his tail protectively around his son. He knows. She immediately goes and tells Yuccastar (103) that one of Yellowcreek’s kits is dark-cursed. Yuccastar, so much less sure of herself than they used to be, decides that, as is tradition, the Clan will vote on what to do with the kit. Graysong is not allowed to vote, as the kit is his own, biologically, and nor are the other kits. But no other cats are excluded from the voting. Despite the support of Yellowcreek’s other friends and loves, the Clan votes to get rid of the kit, leaving the final decision of how to do so up to Yuccastar. She says she’s going to exile him, and takes him away from the warmth of Graysong’s nest and his brother. But once she’s far from camp, she breaks the newborn kit’s neck. Cressfreckle, who had followed to see if he could find a place to shelter the kit, watches. Later, in a dream Yellowcreek tells him about what really happened to Judaschaser and Rindlefish. Yuccastar is a murderer.

Meta: So. . .this is a heavy moon. I almost cried when I saw that Yellowcreek had died. And then Fumblekit. . .Per the game's rules, an insecure leader will let the Clan vote on whether to keep or get rid of the kit. I went through and decided which cat would vote what, and, based on that, getting rid of the kit won. For the sake of the story, I had Yuccastar initially decide to exile Fumblekit (which is a death senetence for a newborn kit in and of itself), but, once she thought she was out of sight of the Clan, I decided that she would most likely kill the kit. And Cressfreckle took Yellowcreek's place as a witness. This moon was hard to write and I did my best to include any trigger warnings I could think of in the tags. Let me know if I missed anything.

Moon 122-Newleaf

The Clan is in desperate need of good news, and Yellowcreek (49) feels like he has some to deliver. He’s expecting kits! But not everyone is thrilled that the dark-cursed clan cat is going to have kits. What if some of them are dark-cursed? Will they turn out evil? He’s almost a senior warrior and he hasn’t proven himself, yet. Is he evil? The whispers start again. Yellowcreek isn’t alone this time, though. He has Graysong (35), Cressfreckle (38), and Airclaw (64) to rely on. He can’t help but hope that his kits are earth-blessed though. It would make their lives a lot easier. Yuccastar (101) is especially upset over this development. In particular, she's upset about Graysong’s support of Yellowcreek. Graysong’s one of the most powerful cats in the Clan. How can he want to see more dark-cursed cats? Not that they’re thrilled about having three other star-blessed cats in the Clan. They’ve liked being the only one since Judaschaser died (read-was murdered by her). Cressfreckle is also upset over the way Yuccastar has been acting towards Yellowcreek lately. He gets in a disagreement with her and they haven’t been able to make up. With the older cats in the Clan dying, Peakspots (91) has decided to try and make things better with Stonefreckle (105). He congratulates his brother and Stonefreckle nods back at him. Faiththrift (43) is also not thrilled about having more star-blessed cats in the Clan. She heard a rumor that Flightkit (1) was trying to use the status granted by her powers to become an apprentice early. That’s not how it works, even for star-blessed cats! Meanwhile, Lilykit (1) idolizes Yuccastar. She thinks it’s so cool that she has the same powers as her leader! While on patrol, the Clan finds a kittypet named Fry (29) and his five kits who join the Clan. Fry himself has a medium strength fire-blessing. Peakspots is glad to have another fire-blessed cat in the Clan. One of his kits is fire-blessed as well, although Wildkit’s (5) blessing is a little weaker than his father’s. And he’s already insecure about it. Three of the kits have earth-blessings. There’s Conekit (5), who’s always climbing on things and bossing cats around; Steppekit (5), who’s a sweet, bouncy little girl; and the fittingly named Gardeniakit (5), who would rather spend time alone than with her siblings. The last kit is a little wind-blessed boy named Lupinekit (5). He’s so quiet and easy to overlook. Caterpillarmallow’s (72) not sure what they’ll do with so many Healers. One of the kits may have to become a warrior instead.

Moon 121-Newleaf

The Clan can’t seem to escape loss. After slowly fading for many moons, the elder Darkpetal (160) was found dead in his nest. Bushmask (131) and Brightfalcon (164) are saddened by the loss of their friend so soon after the loss of their children. Tremors wrack Brightfalcon’s body as she dwells on how Darkpetal won’t see another morning. Bushmask goes over the best moments he shared with Darkpetal in his mind, again and again, until he’s certain he’ll remember Darkpetal forever. Airclaw (63) misses her father and wonders how she’ll move on without him. Cressfreckle (37) and Yellowcreek (48) comfort her. In light of their losses, ElementClan and FurledClan have decided to end the war. It had devolved into a stalemate and both sides were able to find common ground. Despite the end of the war, Chervilcry (100) is busy. She pulls Midgepurr (18) aside and asks him quietly about his crush. He looks at her confused. What crush? He doesn’t have one. Peakspots (90) has been worried that Cressfreckle is spending so much time with his mate instead of going on patrols. This leads to a fight between them that Chervilcry has to break up, and Yellowcreek starts complaining about him behind his back. Although not all is well in their romance. Cressfreckle wants kits, but Airclaw isn’t quite ready yet. She wants to see how their relationship progresses before taking the step into parenthood. Chervilcry also helps them work through it. The final member of the quadrangle, Graysong (34), has noticed that his mother is having a hard time and surprises her with some of her favorite herbs that he grew. Sadly, while on a patrol, Pythonrush (18) is killed by a thunderpath. Flinttooth (22) is a little shaken that she couldn’t save him, but isn’t that torn up. She wasn’t super close to him. However, instead of shrinking this moon, the Clan actually grows. A tom named Luckstripe (58) and his newborn kits have joined the Clan. He and one of his kits, Mothkit (0), are fire-blessed. Chervilcry has to put out a small fire Mothkit starts in the nursery. But the other two. . .are star-blessed. And one of them, Flightkit (0), is so powerful that she almost blinded Caterpillarmallow (71) when she inspected the kits. The other, Lilykit (0), is slightly less powerful, but still pretty strong. Yuccastar (100) is intimidated.

Brightfalcon (163) is really struggling with her children’s deaths. She won’t get up from her nest and just wants to lay around all day. She’s old. Maybe it would just be better if she went to sleep one day and didn’t wake up. Why live when half her kits are dead? Caterpillarmallow (70) is also struggling. The combined stress of the war and the loss of her mate have left her with constant nightmares. She can’t work, leaving the young Healers to fend for themselves, even though they, too, are grieving and have lost siblings. Graysong (33) feels like he should be more torn up over Flurrypelt and Antlersky’s deaths, but he just wasn’t that close to either of them. And now he has Yellowcreek (47) as a mate and he’s busy replenishing the herb stores and healing injured cats. He doesn’t really have time to grieve his littermate or older sister. There are also some tensions between Needlepelt (23) and Frostheart (23). Frostheart is jealous that her sister gets to go on more patrols than her, since, as a Healer, she is less likely to be attacked by FurledClan. Needlepelt notices that Frostheart is jealous, but, instead of talking to her sister, she gives bitter herbs to her father, who she knows Frostheart is close with. Meanwhile, Yuccastar (99) feels conflicted over the new Star-blessed cat in the Clan. They enjoy spending time with Faiththrift (41), but feel like she doesn’t do anything useful on the battlefield and her powers are weaker than Yuccastar’s. Chasingskip (32) is feeling a little closed in by the camp and his parents’ continued attention. She just wants to have some time alone and ends up taking that out on Midgepurr (17).

Moon 119-Leaf-bare

As the war with FurledClan continues, it claims its first casualty. Antlersky (77) was on a patrol and fell into a pit trap set by FurledClan warriors. It was layered with earth-blessing shaped spikes that impaled her before she had a chance to get out with her air magic. Brightfalcon (162) is shocked by the loss of her eldest daughter so soon after the loss of her son. She sits vigil that night as grief fills her heart. In the days to come, Brightfalcon barely stirs from her nest. Bushmask (129), too, is devastated by the loss of his adoptive daughter. He worked so hard to earn her affection, and he’s glad for the time they had together. He searches for cats to help but, when no one needs anything from him, he breaks down, wailing uncontrollably and cursing the world that took Antlersky instead of him. Caterpillarmallow (69) mourns the loss of her mate. She knew they might not always be together, but she didn’t expect them to be separated so soon. She visits Antlersky’s grave, bittersweetly recalling all the happy memories they shared. There is a bright spot amidst all this grief. Graysong (32) and Yellowcreek (46) have become mates! Yellowcreek can’t believe he’s so lucky as to have a cat that cares about him as much as Graysong does, and Graysong appreciates Yellowcreek’s help in coping with his brother’s loss. Now they just have to see what Airclaw (61) and Cressfreckle (35) think about polycules. . .Peakspots (88) is still recovering from his injury. But when he’s recovered, he hopes he doesn’t end up going on a patrol with Stonefreckle (102). For some reason, he’s never been very close with his older foster brother. Maybe he’s jealous that Stonefreckle got more time with Nightingaletree. Or maybe they’re just too different to get along. Speaking of cats not getting along, Gentle (106) feels like Yuccastar (98) has been relegating the powerless cats in the Clan to useless tasks. He brings this up with her, but the two of them just fight and end up resentful of each other. Meanwhile, his kits are also having some tension. Timberfleck (16) is jealous that Midgepurr (16) got to fight in a border skirmish when he didn’t. He wants to serve his Clan too! ElementClan seems to be the Clan of the wind-blessed cats, as another former loner named Amethystdapple (46) has joined the Clan with medium-strength wind powers.
