📍 Catedral de S. Vito Praga A magnífica Catedral de São Vito foi fundada em 1344 no local da rotunda românica original. Esta catedral gótica é um símbolo espiritual do estado tcheco que levou quase 600 anos para terminar de ser construída. Foi concluída somente em 1929 e é uma parte vital da história do Castelo de Praga. Seus grandes interiores ostentam uma série de maravilhas, incluindo a lindamente decorada Capela de São Venceslau com o túmulo de São Venceslau, a cripta onde muitos reis tchecos são enterrados, e a Câmara da Coroa, lar das joias da coroa. Seu acesso à Catedral de São Vito está incluído nos seus ingressos para o Castelo de Praga. Há muito a admirar na Catedral de São Vito, especialmente os belos vitrais. Cuidado com o do famoso pintor tcheco Alfons Mucha, localizado na terceira capela do lado esquerdo. O interior da catedral abriga maravilhas como a capela de São Venceslau com a tumba de São Venceslau, a cripta onde estão enterrados os reis tchecos e a Câmara da Coroa, onde estão guardadas as Joias da Coroa. A Catedral de São Vito também contém o sarcófago de prata de São João de Nepomuk, que é o mais pesado de sua espécie na República Tcheca! A Grande Torre Sul da Catedral foi construída no final do século XIV. Foi reconstruída mais tarde nos séculos 16 e 18. A torre abriga o maior sino da República Tcheca, chamado Zikmund.
