man.... got out of my shitty old job got out of my shitty old house.... I think I am unstoppable

#99.txt #my old house.... became like a nightmare for me because im so scared of bugs especially centipedes #and it got to a point where a centipede would come to my room every single day and i just lived in constant anxiety #and literlly blood splatters on the wall like an insane person #they liked my house so much cos the basement walls were half filled with water at all times and generating mold #which i was also breathing at all times to become more insane #and it would flood the basement every time it rained lol.... so eventually the landlords ''fixed'' it #which meant stopping the water from leaking into the basement. but not from getting into the walls in the first place............... #so now there was no exit and the walls became MUCH MORE filled with water. #much more bugs and now you could even smell the mold from outside the house. #then on top of that the landlords go ''we're going to raise your rent in 3 months ^_^'' #by some insane ammount i dont remember #so we went ok......... goodbye #that & my work are examples of a bad situation needing to become an even worse situation to force me to leave sjfjskd 😐😐 #im so much happer now #HEY have u noticed i havent had a public internet breakdown in like ???? months or something ????? #i feel like i can think like a person haha >_< like a still kinda crazy person but........ jesus #my life has not been simple lmao

So i totally forgot that i did my first cosplay last week, here you have the few pics i had taken and some context behind this absolute clusterfuck of a Costume.

First we need context, picture me, someone who knows jack shit about doing cosplay wanting to do something for Halloween 2019, so i decided to do a No Face cosplay from Spirited Away, since y’know, it looked simple enough, a mask, gloves and a lot of black cloth, but oh boy i never thought i’d only get to wear it 2 years later.

So i started this for that halloween and i made the mask first since it seemed to be the biggest piece and most time consuming, here’s a pic of me doing it with my hand for scale

basically took a giant styrofoam sheet, cut it to shape and then covered it in drywall paste since i though’t it’d be a nice texture

i then proceeded to haphazardly mangle an old jockey hat, fuse it into the back of the mask and use it to prop it up for a test, also made the mouth hole since i needed that to see

With that done i did nothing else for the next 2 years since i had no event to use it for and y’know, Covid-19 and shit, but hey it was progress!

here’s me believing i would finish it by next halloween.

Of course that didn’t happen, as soon as 2020 started it also brought Covid-19 with it to my country, so yeah that year was gone.....

THEN 2 weeks ago a friend told me she wanted help with a stand on a geek/anime fair so i decided to finish it, since all i needed was cloth.

now begins my process of trying to finish it in less than a week for that event.

I got a cheap plastic basket and some wooden model sticks to make a dome to place the cloth over and just mashed everything together into the inside of the mask with aluminum wire untill it looked rigid enough.

looks fantastic doesn’t it? also i had to sow a metal wire ring inside the hat for better stability, also added a piece of thin cloth to the mouth so you couldn’t see my eyes.

Oh also THERE’S A METAL PLATE INSIDE THE HAT, that was bc it wouldnt stay aligned with the mask so i placed that plate inside the hat and used aluminum wire to hold it against the mask, it works! but it also leaves a nasty mark on your forhead if you don’t put some padding on it!. With that done and some insane ammount of cloth that wasn’t enough since i didn’t buy enough (i literally scrapped this shit together NGL) it was ready to be made into a Cosplay! but i have no sewing skills?!?! so being the crazy bitch that i am what did i use??

 YOU GUESSED IT. MORE ALUMINUM WIRE

i’m being serious, i literally wired the cloth to the edges of the mask with a bunch of aluminum wire and pretty much everything else too.

then i just got some black fancy gown gloves, slapped everything together and VOILA

No Face Gang represent

Hey there sexy!  

I seriously debated over using stockings and heels inside the costume to do the thing but i didn’t have time, this picture was taken literally the day prior to the event and i still hadn’t done the final touches.

i then added some more light cloth on top to give it more dimension and finished it at 4 AM, ready to get up at 7 AM to go to the event with my friend..... 

yaaaay......

but you know what? totally worth it.

And here we have the final version! being photographed by my dear friend whom i came to join selling wares on her store!  (yes i did help her selling stuff and i even sold some earrings as No Face, it was quite the sale i tell you!)

Had i known so many people wanted pictures with me i would have asked them to tag me! i remember counting at the very least 40 different people asking for a picture with No Face, and while it felt a little embarrasing since i’d never done this before it was also such a nice feeling to make so many people happy and giddy with my work!.

 But alas i stuck to my character and never once spoke while being No Face, only did gestures and bows when people asked me for a picture, they also enjoyed that, a silent and shy No Face.

I did however come across one lady who tagged the event on her IG post and i was able to find this! it made me so happy to know someone thought of this to be cool enough to share on their page! i of course censored it since it was in her IG account and i just stole it for this post.

AND LOOK

Someone even gave me a bottle of water!  

It was honestly such a lovely experience, one i look foward to having again Bc you bet i’ll be wearing this again for future events. And believe me i’ll keep working on this cosplay to make it better for future events and maybe even do more characters! who knows, i certainly dont!

But i do know one thing, i now know why people love to do cosplay, and i love seeing the work that goes beind some awesome Cosplay i’ve seen over the years.

I also encourage others to do so if they’ve never done it before, i mean, look at what i managed with basically a bunch of random items and a sudden burst of energy and dedication!  Cosplay is fun, i learned that last week, and you should too!

So I Just Watched... Invader Zim Enter the Florpus

So I just watched Invader Zim Enter the Florpus and I have somethings to say. As always Invader Zim is something that I love it was a show I grew up watching and hell I even own a box set of every episode. I used to watch Zim all the time when I was a kid the dark humor and creepy art really set a tone for all the things I like now as an adult to the point it molded my sense of humor for the rest of my life so as you can tell when the show ended in 2006 little me was pretty upset. Imagine my surprise when 13 years later I was told Zim was back and with a damn movie!!!! Boy oh boy I was excited and when it finally came out I thought it was well not great, not bad it was just okay. First off the movies art style is similar to the original show but looked a whole lot cleaner and all round less creepy which isn’t so much a bad thing but it was a tiny bit strange it did take me a while to get used to like I said the old art style was gross and disgusting but it helped the show by making you not want to look sometimes while at the same time being utterly hilarious but at the same time the new style was stunning to look at the lines were smooth and nice too look at and some of the backgrounds looked amazing plus there were some gross moments too. All the charcters we all love looked just as gross, creepy, weird and sometimes adorable as they always have except Gaz she looked very strange she wasnt as scary as she was before she was small and cute which didnt fit her character at all hell I even said I would by a plushie of her if I could but more on her later. However if you are wondering yes Gir hasn’t like at all. I won’t go into the story because I want all of you to go watch it yourselves so instead lets talk characters. Not a single one of them has changed and my god its perfect. Zim is just as insane, stupid and is the small green Irken invader of pure evil and destruction you know and love. Dib is still ugly when he lies but now has a new shirt and Gaz is where I have some issues. The Gaz I remember was violent and angry she hated everything and everyone she was a loner and happy about it so long as she had some games to play, she never showed any emotion other than anger and had a very monotone voice but here she is super diffrenet, she is emotional and seems like she is a totaly different character. This might not be a bad thing but it didnt feel right and it seems like they only did it because they needed something to help the plot but wanted to rely on a fan favourite character and Gaz was the only one they could think of but it doesnt feel like Gaz she is too emotional dont get me wrong she has her badass moments but it feels forced. The final issue I had was the run time the full thing is just over an hour long and for a movie thats not a huge ammount of time, everything moves so fast it feels like there is no struggle or tention it all everything just sort of happens then before you know it credits. In the end Enter the Florpus was a fun movie and I highly recommend everyone goes to watch it. Hopefully Zim is back in action and we can expect to see more of him soon. Now if you will excuse me i need to call The Tallest.
