#but you look at kid gojo and teen gojo and realise there's a lot of depth to his character
Note
ya know chances for gojo having a loving partner in the manga have died alongside geto no literally, i could never realistically imagine him with anyone else, even he never showed any interest besides geto if we gonna interpret it that way? but at least i can rest easy that his fangirls got him covered in fanfics
like listen, as much as i try to avoid them, i've seen some pretty good and well characterized fanfics where he actually finds love in another person (aka self inserts, ocs, readers you name it)
bottom line, this is kinda outta nowhere but i've seen one of ur posts about him so i just wanted to share, hope u okay with that :)
if we go super realistic, then unless his partner is super strong and capable of protecting/defending themselves, they will automatically have a target on their back. like gojo had bounties on his head as a child, but he became stronger and basically unkillable when he got older. anyone he is too close to is a target for people who want to get to him somehow, we even see this with people who are under his care/his students. the people in power playing politics will use these people to hurt gojo because they can't get to them. ie realistically gojo's biggest weaknesses are the people he chooses to let in. (this is literally also canon with the sealing, flashbacks and basically everything that happened with geto, and what not). so like, realistically the best option would have been yuki if they were attracted to each other. i suspect gojo keeps most people out either consciously to keep a distance or because he has emotionally just developed that way and unconsciously keeps an emotional distance. hence the playboy appearance but i don't think that's him being an actual playboy, just personally. it feels more like he doesn't go much further than light-hearted banter and flirting, and it's pretty clear to anyone that he's not emotionally attached (if we're talking short term relationships/dating or something like flings even. he's not breaking hearts by being deceptive, if he's breaking hearts it's because people want him but can't have him. just what it seems like to me personally)
[Also I've literally never thought about this before. this is just what came to mind right now after reading your ask.]
If we disregard any of those things and give gojo a little bit of a nicer hc world to live in where things didn't go as wrong, it seems like geto was basically the only person he ever learned to rely on for anything, someone to share his burdens, and he was the only person who got to him as a person, not the strongest, not a weapon, not the power ceiling size eyes user but as simply satoru. he probably learned to be emotionally vulnerable for the first time ever with geto because geto was strong and capable of taking care of himself , but also saw satoru as the lost and lonely teenager he was (look how serious/scary he seemed as a kid. that kid saw and knew too much. the "fun" personality he developed is probably a result of some kind of nihilism to deal with the reality that he would be carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders). so no matter what the nature of their relationship was, it was likely gojo's strongest bond and the one that had the most impact on him. and then he couldn't save geto, despite being the strongest, which made him question what that power was even good for if he couldn't even save the people closest to him. he decided he needed allies that would be just as strong if not stronger than him. because then he wouldn't have to keep saving or losing people alone.
[as an aside, personally, power dynamics in a (romantic) relationship, ie one person having significantly more power over the other person in a relationship, is my personal biggest nightmare/pet peeve. i hate unequal relationships. if the person with power isn't a narcissistic manipulative asshole, then the relationship sucks for both people. sure you can probably learn a lot but there are other ways to do that]
anyway, I'm glad we get to discuss some of the emotional and relational aspects of jjk because there's so much subtext. most people in the story have heavy heavy trauma in their lives. more than half of the cast don't even have a family or, well, anyone other than the people at jujutech to rely on. and it was understood from the character dialogues that a lot of them (aside from gojo's students, who are specifically being taken in a different direction) choose to keep their distance from other sorcerers so they don't have to keep mourning the deaths of their friends and peers all the time. so yeah.
sorry your ask seemed light-hearted and this got a bit heavy. i'm just at a point in life where i have to consider relationships with other people way more than i want to so these topics have become relevant in my life now
I don't even remember how we got here lol. Sorry

HIII I HEARD UR TAKING REQUESTS!!! (I think if not jus ignore this) bf headcanons with geto plzzzz :( hes just a silly lil guy (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH OH MY GOD) anwzzz have a gud day :33
getou as your bf headcannons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
thanks for the request anon, i hope you have a good day too !! btw ure so real he is just a lil guy ☹️ he isn’t defined by his actions (what murder?) he’s just a babygirl ! i wrote this for teen getou but then i thought might as well do a few thoughts on adult getou. i hope this is okay!
teen getou
you confessed first and getou laughed it off, thinking you just wanted to copy his homework. but when he saw you slowly turn red, he realised that this was the real deal. super awkward confession and you tease him about it all the time, professing your love to him every time you need something from him just so he can recall the embarrassment he caused on that day
in the beginning of your relationship, he really wanted you to wear his clothes and have it be a causal thing. but because he's nervous, and because shoko and gojo are bad influences, he decides the only way for you to comfortably ask for his shirts and jumpers was to wear yours first. gojo assures him you'll find it funny and realise that boundaries such as "yours" and "mine" will be blurred this point forward. taking his friends' advice, getou shimmies into your jujutsu uniform and knocks on your dorm door, posing to make you laugh. it's only when he sees the disbelief on your face that he regains his senses
the type to be looking at you no matter what he’s doing. you’re telling him about your day and he’s drinking water? he’s looking at you over the rim of the glass. you get called in class to answer a question you weren't paying attention to? getou is already looking at you, mouthing the (incorrect) answer. you’re comparing hand sizes? look up and you’ll find him looking at you instead of your interlocked fingers. it’s natural that he’s the first to notice when things are wrong, and the first to tease you
the type to smile when he gets angry and make a face that says "what (kind of nonsense) are you talking about?" he deflects a lot in arguments and never yells, but his low voice is honestly scarier
no sense of personal space whatsoever (blame gojo) so if you want to make a move on him, you have to be very direct. it's a double-edged sword because he'll be teaching you boxing and cover your hand with his to reposition your posture, and only you will think something of it. but at the same time, you can simply wrap your arms around his neck, lean in, and he'll break out in a cold sweat and a blush. he's simple in that way
a girl's kind of guy. he'll hand you a cushion or a plushie if you sit down wearing a skirt or a dress and if there isn't any, he'll wordlessly take off his jacket and hand it to you. always has a spare hairband around his wrist but he doesn't tell you that he also uses it to close off open chip bags when he can't finish them in one sitting. sometimes you do wonder why it smells like salt and vinegar
will take something of yours just so you can ask him for help. if it's raining, he'll take your umbrella so the two of you can walk home under his. of course, he'll be the one walking on the outer edge of the path
getou's a gym rat. wakes up chugs a protein shake (doesn't use a blender, shaking it super hard is enough). usually focuses on arms and abdomen and loves to show off whether it's through boxing or doing push ups with you on his back. objectively, he's really fit but there's something about him walking around his dorm shirtless just to catch a glimpse of himself being Buff that's annoying
thinks he can charm his way out of any situation (he can). he was praised a lot as a kid for being pretty and kind which led him to slipping out of situations he didn't want to be in just by smiling. he thinks the same thing can work on you (usually it does)
late night missions means sleep deprivation for class the next morning, and you carry the bulk of it after three consecutive missions. the next morning, even yaga winces at the heavy bags under your eyes. of course, it’s your boyfriend who’s by your side first. he does most of the talking that day and doesn't say anything when you doze off mid-sentence. he even angles his body so your head can comfortably rest on his shoulder and doesn’t say (much) anything when he sees you drooling. you notice that throughout the day, his hand is always hovering your back
extra — adult getou:
has the habit of talking to you like you're a stray kitten sometimes. there's a benevolent smile on his face and his words are soft, coaxing you out gently as if you were buzzing to flee. it's something he developed after raising nanako and mimiko, but it works just as well on you, too
he still does the same "what the fuck?" smile when he gets angry, but there's a sinister edge to it now, like he's waiting to see how far you can push it before he does something about it
an absolutely terrible chef. perhaps it's because his tastebuds has been destroyed by his technique and cigarettes, but everything he makes is either too salty, too bland, too spicy or everything in between. his culinary skills are fine, and his presentation is frankly award winning but take one bite and you're rushed to the hospital. usually, the two of you just go out for dinner or order uber eats
likes the sensation of someone playing with his hair. whether it's getting you to dry his hair after he gets out of the shower, or allowing himself to be a mannequin to your sudden desire at being a hair stylist, he's satisfied
still likes walking around shirtless or in a shirt that is half open (just take it off at that point) but at least this time, you also get a view. his confidence in his body has skyrocketed, and now it's one of the main thing he uses to get a reaction out of you. if you call him out for it, he'll just :3 "what do you mean?"

the idolz and their controversies... part 1
because we love drama
i don't hate any of them btw <3 i just like to make the world as realistic as possible with people doing some questionable shit or having controversial actions/opinions at times...
gonna get beheaded for that but LET'S START WITH GOJO <333
gojo (ex... whatever the big jjk group is called, former tripleS + GG member)
he's actually fine, at least for someone who's been an idol + a producer for like... almost twenty years sheesh
does get a lot of rumours but we don't care about those
his biggest controversy is basically the one that.. he hasn't "fixed"... putting "" because truth is everyone is divided on this ("does he really need to fix it?" you decide booboo)
anyway, he uses aave despite being the palest japanese mf ever ❤️ some black fans don't care, others do care, some non-black fans don't care (not that... we care about their opinion...), some non-black fans do care, one of the pro arguments is "well at least he uses it correctly" so you decide if you're pro or anti gojo now /J... /hj i know some of y'all are extremists
has been called greedy as a producer but let's be real he's a man so he doesn't actually get called out a lot for this + he's one of the most popular idols anyway so who cares (if it were a woman tho...)
okay so this one is actually fake af but he's been called xenophobic and racist towards panda (who's chinese) and yuuji (who's half dominican) because they had less than 2 seconds of line in a song. gojo didn't respond to that, but a week later the behind recording was out on socials and everyone was able to see that 1/ panda actually had more lines but got outsang by most of the group (understandable, he's not a vocalist), 2/ yuuji can't sing to save his life, so giving him one line was already very nice of gojo
okay everyone, you can breathe again it's over for gojo's controversies
shikamaru (from hanafubuki)
oh god where do we start
nah tbf he only has one big controversy and it's: he's sexist
OKAY SO technically he isn't anymore because he got women's studies classes as a trainee otherwise he was kicked out for being a sexist little shit
he does have.. "traditional" views but honestly he's also very open minded
got accused of being sexist because he said he "sees himself with a boring job, a wife, two kids, and his wife cooking dinner for him when he comes back from work"
gonna play devil's advocate and say that's literally how it works with his parents and they like it that way, so
also he said (after being accused of sexism) in a radio show that while that's how he sees his life in twenty years, he wouldn't mind it if his wife was like "no i wanna work too"
they'd just have to agree on a schedule and all, especially for the kids (he wants kids so there's no way he's marrying someone who doesn't tho which is... common sense)
jiraiya (ex wabi-sabi, now soloist)
he's not sexist but he's been labelled a pervert... ngl he does like to look at women's bodies BUT he doesn't make them uncomfortable... leave me and my old man alone... where is @sexygeriatric-retirementhome :( <3 i'm still working on your ask i just take years to reply
has a tendency to date younger people, mostly women but sometimes men (bi icon) <3
has had some ableist comments in the past, mostly when he was a teen though, and although he never addressed it he's never done it again so... you decide...
(btw you gotta realise bro was technically in the public eye from 1991 [pre-debut era] to... well... nowadays... so he's been an idol for 33 years so yeah)
has been caught with porn magazines on his shelves LMAO he's such a loser <3 he was a teen when that happened and also had a gf at the time so that was fun LOL
has struggled with an eating disorder as a late-teen/young adult, which led to him being in a very poor mental state and "giving advice" on how to lose weight. <- pls don't excuse that, that's just the explanation as to why he said those things in the first place ❤️
he did talk about it a decade later and said he was wrong, also donates yearly to charities (mostly anorexia related ones)
oh yeah i forgot but he's also been accused of having predatory behaviour towards young idols (hanafubuki's neji, bureikou as a whole, kismet's konohamaru)
basically -> he hugged neji when neji was crying (neji was 16). he regularly compliments bureikou (girl group with the naruto girlies + AFAB NARUTO YEAAA), also has a very close bond with naruto herself since he's her godfather, DID talk about her body as in "she's growing up fine" (you take that as you want honestly)... did make a joke about naruto growing up fine but being so tall yet so flat (<- didn't phrase it like that tbh but that was the joke, naruto is 180cm tall and flatter than sakura). konohamaru is his nephew in this au and the way he's been teasing him or even hugging him rubs people the wrong way, mostly because of the previous things (for people who think he's actually having predatory behaviour) and because kono was 15 when he debuted. honestly idek, you make up your mind <3
gonna be real he probably has way more, he's been in the industry for 30+ years LOL but yeah brain is smol
neji (hanafubuki, soloist)
has had ableist comments in the past, mostly about shino's quirks (fyi shino is on the autism spectrum) -> owned up to it and apologised to shino and shino's dad, literally people learned about it because neji mentioned it during a public apology when they were having a concert
neji is basically if character growth was a person
bro is gay as hell (and dating shino!!!) but was homophobic so... character growth <3
honestly props to shino for staring at neji and thinking "i will talk some sense into him" cuz LOOK AT THEM NOW <33
a few fatphobic comments towards choji during predebut era too, but gonna be honest he quickly changed his mind and is literally "choji's husband" (and choji is his wife <3 <- their dynamic is light hearted) so ykw i don't think choji would be fine with that if neji was still fatphobic
again: ✨ CHARACTER GROWTH ✨
i'm hungry so i'll make a part two later
geto will be in it.. if i don't forget

GOJO SATORU || home wrecker
request: hi! Can i ask for a young megumi and teen gojo. Where teen gojo introduces his s/o to a young megumi and as they get closer megumi ends up having a child crush on s/o but gojo has a crush on her first, might as well end up with gojo confessing to her in the end? (i thought this would be funny cause i'd feel megumi would say no to gojo when he kindly ask to stop cuddling to s/o just to irk gojo)
note: i love this so much??? can you imagine just pouty and ‘cold’ child megumi fighting with poor gojo about having a crush on the older man’s s/o? and gojo being like, confused if he should be annoyed or happy about the entire thing? just kid!megumi and gojo annoyance lmaooo
pronouns: them/they

“So...I have something important I want to share with you two.”
It was a weekend in the “Gojo household”; Tsumiki had finished making a simple meal for the three of them, with Megumi helping wherever he can. Gojo, who has been banned from the kitchen, had gone out earlier to do ‘something’. It has been happening for the last few weeks now; it had started with Gojo telling the two kids one evening that he was going to ‘see someone’. It wasn’t like Gojo going on ‘dates’ were a new thing in the household - they were used to him coming home early the next day, clearly dishevelled and smelling like someone else’s perfume. Megumi can’t even count how many times he’s found makeup or lipstick marks on Gojo’s shirts whenever he goes to collect the older man’s laundry in his room.
But it was different this time.
Instead of dressing like he was going to some pub to catch a new fling - for starters, he was wearing a button up shirt. Megumi and Tsumiki can’t remember any time they’ve seen him in a button up shirt. Even when he needed to dress for a formal event in the jujutsu world, everyone would expect for him to arrive to the event in his Jujutsu High uniform. Or not, he wouldn’t even be there to begin with. So the fact that Gojo was ‘going somewhere’ wearing a button up had caused the kids to share a curious look. But before they can ask, Gojo was darting out of their home; clearly looking like he was rushing to wherever he needed to be. He was probably late again.
Ever since then, it was clear to the kids that he was seeing someone. From him going on more and more dates (where he actually puts an effort into how he looks), to them catching him sneak in shopping bags from jewellery stores and random articles of clothing that definitely do not fit Gojo. Tsumiki had even saw a stuffed bear that Gojo had ‘hid’ away into his wardrobe; and it was one of those cheesy bears holding a heart in between its hands that you give people during Valentines Day.
The two of them had concluded that someone had managed to capture the older man’s heart; and were curious to see who this person was. So when Gojo had suddenly said that he wanted to share something with them, the both of them shared an excited look between each other before they turned to face the man once more. Said man caught the look they shared with one another, to which he just raised an eyebrow before he shrugged it off; he has more important things to announce.
“Clear your Saturday this week. I want you two to meet someone.”
Megumi widened his eyes at how casually Gojo admitted to what they’ve been thinking about, all whilst Tsumiki perks up before she giggles into her hands; her reaction causing Gojo to raise a curious eyebrow at her. “Is this person the one you’ve been seeing for awhile now?,” Tsumiki asks, her eyes glittering with child like excitement at the idea of meeting the person that seemed to have taken up quite a lot of Gojo’s interest and time.
Gojo, on the other hand, blinked his eyes at the two kids before him; having never expected that for both of them to realise that there was someone outside of their little family unit that has gotten his attention. But he found it adorable that they were so excited for him; so Gojo just grinned before he nods his head in agreement. “Yes, actually. I’ve been seeing them for some time now. And since we are getting serious, I thought it’s time that I show you two to them. I’ve been talking non-stop about you two for awhile now.”
Just knowing that Gojo has been talking about them to this mysterious person has Tsumiki getting more excited; whilst Megumi made an awkward face at the idea that he has to meet someone new. Don’t get him wrong, he was curious to meet them - but the idea of meeting someone new definitely has his skin crawling. Unfortunately for him Gojo caught onto his change of expression, to which the older man grinned before he reaches over to playfully poke at his cheek. “Awe, aren’t you adorable?! You’re so shy, Megumi-kun~”
“I will kill you,” Megumi hissed as he swats at Gojo’s long hands, which only fuelled the older man to double his efforts when it came to annoying Megumi. Tsumiki giggles at the two men, not even minding the childish fight that was brewing before her; so she wordlessly started to clean the dishes whilst Gojo was annoying her younger brother. Even though Megumi acted the way he did, he was curious about you - the person that had managed to capture the attention of the Gojo Satoru.
The weekend had rolled around a lot sooner than the Fushiguros had expected, and soon they were quietly led out of the taxi that Gojo had ordered for them. They were told to dress nicely and were currently standing in front of a restaurant located in middle of the city; a simple restaurant that looked both formal but casual at the same time. The two kids waited quietly at the side as Gojo paid the taxi driver, looking up when the taller male turned back to face them with a somewhat nervous smile. Just seeing that expression on the usually confident Gojo had the two kids blinking in shock; but before either of them can comment on it, Gojo hastily rest a hand on their backs and pushed them before him as he made his way towards the entrance of the restaurant.
Inside was a warmly decorated restaurant, the smell of food wafting in the air delicately that made Megumi and Tsumiki’s mouths water. Yet they didn’t really get a chance to look around before Gojo led the kids deeper into the restaurant, walking them towards the back where the booths were located. There, sitting in a booth that was pressed up against a glass window, was a person that they had never seen before; the sunlight highlighting their hair and eyes underneath their soft rays.
Gojo perked up when your eyes met his, grinning widely when you smile and waved at him and the kids shyly. You had arrived a few minutes earlier, having ordered a simple juice from their menu as you waited for the trio nervously. You and Gojo had been seeing one another, after you had shared your umbrella with him when he was lost in the middle of Tokyo city after stumbling from an abandoned warehouse; and after a nice coffee date to say his thanks, and somehow you two had went from friends to lovers in a short amount of time.
Even though things felt fast to others, to you two it felt natural; like you two were missing pieces of a puzzle and had been fated to meet one another. But no matter how comfortable you two have become with your relationship status, that did not ease the nervousness and fear of meeting the two kids that Gojo had taken in and brought up as his own. You were not fully apart of their world, but you came from a family of windows; which was another factor that caused you and Gojo to grow closer with one another. However, you were aware how important those kids were to Gojo, so the idea that you needed to make a good impression on the kids stresses you out a little.
Gojo grinned once he got the kids to settle into the opposite seat before he settled down beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you into his side in a half hug. “Hey, hope you weren’t waiting long,” He mumbles as he presses a soft kiss to the side of your head, to which you giggle and wrapped an arm around him with a warm smile. “No, I arrived a few minute earlier,” You reassured him before you turned to address the kids before you, who were staring at you with wide and curious eyes. “And you two must be Megumi and Tsumiki, am I correct?”
The younger boy with dark eyes blushed and looked down at his lap; but his sister was more than ready to give you a smile as she nods her head in excitement. “Uh huh! I’m Tsumiki, and that’s ‘gumi! We’re excited to finally meet you!,” She said with an excited giggle whilst a waitress stopped by to drop some menus; and you were sure she was here to stare at Gojo for a few minutes as well. And you can’t blame her; sometimes you catch yourself staring as well. “We’ve been curious to meet the person who he seems to be so interested in.”
Her innocent answer had you laughing at how adorable she was, your eyes glancing over at Gojo; who coughs before he glances away with the tips of his ears burning red against his pale skin. You decided to leave him be as you turned to face the kids once more, curious to hear from the young boy whose face was burning as bright as Gojo’s blush. His reaction made you curious, and thinking that he was nervous, you gave him what you hoped was a kind smile.
“Don’t be so nervous, Megumi-chan. If anything, I am more nervous than you are right now.”
Just like that you somehow found the kids added into your already busy life; finding time in between your work and dates with Gojo to get to know the kids better. You knew that no matter how irresponsible and childish Gojo was, to him the kids are the most important things to him; so you try your hardest to try and get the kids to like you.
Not that it took much - Tsumiki, who was excited that there was another girl to be around, welcomed you into her life with her warm but tiny embrace. She always try to spend every single second with you the moment you walk through the doors of their home; doing things like playing princesses, cook together, and talk about ‘girly things’, as Gojo puts it. Whilst Tsumiki was excited to welcome you into her life, you had to try a lot harder when it came to the younger Fushiguro.
Gojo tried to reassure you on multiple occasion that it’s normal - that it’s normal for the younger boy to be hesitant around you and even ignoring you sometimes because he is ‘a boy’. You didn’t like the answer he gave you, since you felt like it was him brushing off your efforts. So instead of giving up, you tried harder to get to know Megumi; asking him about the books he enjoys to read, playing with his shikigami dogs whenever he lets them out, helping him with things like homework and even defending him whenever him and your boyfriend get into mindless arguments.
It took awhile, but eventually Megumi lets you break through his walls and start to warm up to you. He started to reply to your conversation starters more and more, showing you things like the artworks he does in class, letting you play with his shikigami more (who seemed to have become quite fond of you before their owner had decided to do the same), and showing you that your help in his homework reflected in his grades. You were excited, happy that you had not given up like Gojo had suggested for you to; and you do rub it into his face quite often.
And whilst Gojo was happy that Megumi had finally warmed up to you, letting you rub the relationship into his face with nothing more but a fond smile, what he found annoying was the fact that Megumi seemed to grow a little too close for his liking. Of course, when he pointed it out to you, you thought he was being dramatic like usual. You were excited that Megumi seemed to be warming up to you so much, starting to look to you like how Tsumiki views you; a mother figure that welcomed the both of them like they were your own.
You were fully welcomed by the kids, which was what Gojo wanted to happen when he had suggested for you to meet the kids; but this was not the exact outcome he had expected. Megumi had, surprising him and Tsumiki, grow quite an obvious crush on you; heck, even you were aware that he had quite the crush on you. And you found it too adorable to stop him; with his blushing chubby cheeks and shy gestures, you were quite smitten as well. You found his child-like crush on you quite heart-warming, and really have no complaints.
One of the reasons being the fact that he allowed you to get closer to him than before; doing things like offering small arts and craft gifts from school, drawings of you two in places like a garden made from crayons, and even shyly asking if you can hold his hand whenever you had cleared your schedule to pick him and Tsumiki up from school whenever Gojo couldn’t. During movie nights Gojo will be cuddling into your left, but he would be too irritated to watch the movie because Megumi was curled up into your right side; tiny head resting on your chest whilst his wide green eyes stared at the TV before him curiously.
This week’s movie date was no different - Tsumiki is cuddled up into Gojo’s side, eyes seeming to keep glaring at the younger boy on your other side. Whilst Megumi was completely oblivious (or is the world’s best actor for flat out ignoring the older man) you were not that forgiving; giving Gojo an unamused glance whilst he just made a face in return. “What are you doing?,” You whisper softly to your boyfriend, your face tucking itself lightly into his neck whilst he clicked his tongue as he leans closer. “I am keeping an eye out on a home wrecker. That’s what I’m doing.”
“Babe, he’s twelve,” You said with an annoyed hiss, glancing away briefly from Gojo’s enchanting blue eyes to glance at the kids quickly; letting out a relieved sigh when neither of them acknowledge that you and your boyfriend were getting into an argument. Your words had Gojo scowling softly, immediately knowing that you two were not going to give up on this ‘argument’ - no matter how childish it may be. “So? Just because he is a kid, doesn’t mean he can’t be a home wrecker.”
“Do you think I am a creep or something?,” You answered back with an unamused look on your face, your annoyance deepening when Gojo in return just smirked; wordlessly asking if you were daring him to answer that question right now. “Are you trying to become a single man by the end of the night?,” You grumbled as you looked away to angrily grab a handful of popcorn, munching on it with a pout whilst Gojo tries to bite back his shit eating grin.
However, that look soon turned into shock when Megumi, who had been listening into your argument the entire time, wiggled out from underneath your arm. Curiously you watched the young boy rush over to the kitchen, tilting your head curiously when he pulled the fridge open and shift through it carefully; coming back after a few minutes with a juice box in his hand. Quickly he made his way back to the couch, and after getting back onto the couch he shyly looked away as he held the juice box out. He had turned his face away from yours, trying to hide the embarrassed flush to his cheeks away from your prying eyes whilst he awkwardly mumbles out. “D-Don’t fight...”
Whatever annoyance you felt melted off your person as you giggle and took the juice box from the younger box, reaching over with your hand to pet him on the head; giggling once more when he closed his eyes from the shock. Looking like a confused puppy as he looked over at you with shy puppy eyes. “You’re too cute, Megumi-kun,” You cooed, your smile widening at Megumi’s soft grumble as he looked away with a pout. Yet he didn’t stop himself from crawling back into your arms when you opened your arm out for him to cuddle into you once more.
“Oi, Megumi-kun - do you mind leaving Y/N alone?,” Gojo grunted as he shift to glare down at the young child, who stared back at the older man with a deadpan look from between your arms. “No,” Megumi stated simply, not even flourishing his answer with any sarcastic responses or comebacks - just a flat answer with a flat tone. Megumi’s simple answer had both you and Tsumiki giggling, only to laugh harder at Gojo’s pure look of shock as he sat up to point a shaky finger at the younger boy. “Y-You little brat! Give me back my lover!”
What Gojo got in response was a stubborn tongue being stuck out, and you can barely hide your laughter at the argument that started between the two males; both of them sporting scowls as they tried to argue who was the ‘better boyfriend’ for you. And honestly, for once you didn’t even try to stop the argument; quietly watching on with nothing more but a fond smile.
I mean, someone has to put Gojo back in his place.

A Well Rounded Education (1): First Day of School (Introduction, 1.2k)
You are a teacher’s aid to teacher Gojo Satoru, training to be able to take over your own class next year by shadowing and helping him out. Gojo does not make things easy for anybody.
Introduction - SFW, no warnings, no pairings. AFAB reader, fem pronouns.
(a well rounded education m.list and navigation)
There are lots of things you love about your job. You love the kids; you love watching their eyes light up when some answer to a problem reveals itself, when they find out that they’ve gotten a higher grade on the surprise test than they were expecting, when they sit up straighter, fair bursting with pride at a compliment. This is a tricky age for them, you think; you don’t really look back on your own junior high experiences with fondness. They’re going through a lot – even without the extra pile on of schoolwork! So you figure assisting them in class and helping with the academic side of things is the least you can do, if you can’t soothe the aches and worries of puberty and growing up and properly finding yourself.
Well, you can’t soothe it any more than occasionally giving them a sympathetic smile and saying; ‘yes, I remember how it was for me. It just seems to get harder, huh?’. You can’t soothe it any more than doing your best to exist, and show them all that sometimes adults end up just fine.
Not every adult ends up like their class teacher.
It’s not that you don’t like Satoru Gojo. It’s just that, for all of your time when you were training to be a teacher, you’d never met another one quite like him. It stands to reason – just your luck – that whilst you were completing the mandatory year of working as a teacher’s aid before you could qualify to have your own class proper, you’d end up underneath a guy like that.
He doesn’t do anything the way that you were taught to do it in classes. You always knew that it would be different when you actually got in a classroom – but you didn’t realise it would be this different! He doesn’t follow any approved syllabuses that you can work out (you have a copy of the one he’s supposed to be following, given to you by him on the first day you’d been assigned his class. He’d shrugged as he’d given you it. “Can’t see what use it’ll be,” he’d said, all cheerfulness, “but I’m supposed to let you have it anyway.”). His quizzes come at random times, his ideas for lessons just seeming to come to him in flashes of inspiration so you never know what you’re going to end up doing on a day to day basis. Somehow, still, though, he’s working here and getting good results from almost all of the students.
Nobody else seems to like him! They all roll their eyes when they see him in the staffroom, eating some kind of sugary treat that he brought from home. You know the dark sunglasses he wears all of the time are against your dress code (you’d pored over that, too, not wanting to make a bad impression). But still, he’s there! You never even see him get into trouble!
His class seem to have a complicated relationship with him. There’s a grudging respect, you think – but there’s also a frustration that he’s so . . . whimsical. You suppose that’s why a certain cohort of the students you’ve been assigned to aid seem to prefer your help to his, waiting until he’s occupied doing something else to shoot you an agitated look across the room until you come to try and make sense of Gojo’s instructions for them.
There’s a certain kind of camaraderie, that in a way you’re all under Gojo’s tutelage and you’re all simply duty-bound to his unconventional fancies.
You have a couple of favourite students. You can’t help it! Some of them need your help more than others, some of them just seem to need to know someone is around for them. You’re fond of Megumi Fushigiro; a quiet, intense boy who is almost always top of the class but who hardly ever smiles. He stares at Gojo whilst the teacher attempts to explain the lesson, and then later on calls you over when he’s finished. You’re fond of Yuji Itadori; that boy does seem to adore Gojo, but he’s also the kind of puppy-dog pre-teen who likes anybody who gives him a smile. He’s all boundless energy and he always brightens up any room that he enters. You’re pretty fond of Mimiko and Nanako Suguru, two fashionable twins in your class who often giggle about Gojo behind their hands, although the two of them have been missing a lot of school this term. Somehow, this class has two sets of twin girls – Maki and Mai Zen’in are here as well, though the two of them are fiercely independent and do not require much interruption on your part. You rather admire their steadiness and self-possession – you certainly did not have that at twelve years old. And Yoshino Junpei, too, you try to help when you can – he’s a quiet, nervous presence in the back of the classroom, always shooting looks at the other boys and biting his lip as if he’s afraid they’re going to hurt him. You think that there’s something going on there, but you haven’t yet managed to earn his trust enough for him to tell you. You’re working on it! You have a whole school year to do that! For now, though, you merely try and keep an eye on him when he isn’t looking and try to make sure that nothing untoward happens during your lessons.
Yes. There are a lot of things you’re learning absolutely every day, about your job and about the career that you’ve chosen to go into. Some of those things are helped by Gojo’s presence as your mentor; the majority of them are hindered. When you complain one day, about how he always leaves his paperwork crumpled and half-finished, he raises one eyebrow at you and the corner of his lip raises in a smirk that seems to say he’s three steps ahead of you.
“It’d be much too easy for you if I did everything perfectly, right?” He says, all annoying sparkle. There’s a charisma about him that’s hard to deny. “I’m just trying to make sure you’re prepared for anything this great profession throws at you!”
From Gojo – or rather, because of Gojo’s almost negligent approach to teaching – you learn to deal with things like kids who don’t do their homework, the bureaucratic paperwork that schools seem to be snowed under with, the look of disappointment when one of your favourite students seems to become possessed by a demon for a few weeks and is all back-chat and sulking, the painful emotions that students who suffer things like bereavements and ill parents go through (Even Gojo knows he is not quite tactful enough for those ones).
One thing that Gojo does not help with, though, is teaching you how to handle the parents and guardians of the students. He leaves you to do that one on your own, when he can’t be bothered to deal with people getting angry at him for suspending their darling students or doling out punishments or not grading them highly enough--
After a few meetings with said parents, guardians, and figures of authority in the lives of your students, though . . . you begin to wonder if maybe Gojo leaving them to you was a good thing.

GOJO SATORU || pain in the ass
request: gojo and reader are special grades and their parents want them to get married so they could make a strong generation for their family (she doesnt like this and she thinks it's stupid). in the first meeting, they went together to exorcise some curses in mountain (their family asked them to do it together so they can get along), she ignored him bc she thinks he is kind of asshole but gojo keeps teasing her (he thinks her reaction is cute and she looks hot and actually he likes her and thinks getting married with her doesnt sound so bad).
could you make it jsjjdks i keep imagining this in my head and i think it's cute if the reader started to catch feelings too...... btw your writings are amazing i really love them and thank you!!
note: AHAHAHA I LOVE THIS! I am so happy most of us agree that Gojo, as hot as he is, can be an asshole. But this one is v fluffy, and very cute! I tried to cut down on not making it too long cause not going to lie, I always love reading tropes like this! the “annoying-ass-to-kinda-cute’” sort of trope, and I love it cx but here you go babes! I definitely enjoyed writing something like this.

“Y/N, guess what?”
Y/N’s chopsticks came to a stop as she closes her eyes, taking a deep breath to brace herself before slowly bringing her eyes away from the meal before them; meeting her mother’s eyes head on. “What is it, Mother?” She asks the older woman hesitantly, unsure of how to respond when she saw the familiar glint in her eyes - immediately telling her that she was not going to like where the conversation was heading. “Remember how we talked about being in the main family? How, as the oldest child, you need to set an example for your siblings?”
“..yes?” Y/N’s voice was uncertain, which made her mother frown but she didn’t comment any further on it. “Well, your father and I met up with a family recently, who has a son around your age.” The older woman said just as an annoyed sigh was heard, the woman narrowing her eyes at her daughter who sets her chopsticks down quite loudly. “Mother, how many times have I told you that I don’t like this whole arranged marriage scheme you and Father have come up with.”
Before her mother can give her a response, her husband reaches over to grab her hand in his, giving her a soft look before he clears his throat loudly. “Everyone, would you give us a moment?” He asked as he glances over at the rest of his kids, who all gave their oldest sister a concerned glance before they started to make their way out of the room; their mother closing the door after them. Not without giving her husband another look, one that Y/N caught and had her blood boil a little in annoyance.
Once the shoji doors of the dining room were slid shut the older man lets out a soft sigh before he made his way towards his oldest, taking up the zabuton that his son had left empty by her side. Quietly he reaches out to take her hand in his, his rougher hands incasing her own ones that were roughen up by years of combat training; but there was still a certain softness and feminine touch to them. “Princess - you know your mother and I just want to look out for you.” He started off with a tired sigh, to which the younger woman just gave her father a look. “I know you don’t see marriage as a viable route. But you have to remember, not only are you a Special Grade sorcerer, you also come from a strong clan like ours.”
“Yes, yes, I know - but what does my marriage status have to do with this?” Y/N stresses with a frown as she looks over at her father once more. “You and I both know that the elders can be very old schooled. I mean - who still insist on marrying every of age person of as soon as possible?” She ranted with pure annoyance lacing her voice, the older man just listening to her complains with a soft smile. He can’t get upset at her - he himself went on a rant when he was first told of his own engagement during his teen years. “I know it’s sudden and against your wish, but can you entertain your old man once? One meeting, that is all I ask of you.”
At first his words was met with silence, but he just waited for her to slowly but surely give in. Which she did after a few more moments. “...just once.” She said with a tired sigh, causing the older man to chuckle before he leans over to kiss her on the head softly. “But if I don’t like him, I am never going to let you forget about this.” She stated simply as she looks over at her elderly father, who just smiles softly in return. “I am sure you’re going to enjoy his presence. He’s of your age, and a Special Grade sorcerer too. I am sure you two are going to get along just fine.”

“I am going to murder his dumbass.”
To say Y/N was upset would be an understatement - there were clear waves of annoyance just radiating off the sorcerer. Today was the day she was supposed to meet with her ‘fiancé’ for the first time, and he was not giving her the best first impression. Not only is he half an hour late, he didn’t send anyone to give her a heads up either. So now she was just standing there, tapping her foot impatiently as she glanced at her watch once more.
They were supposed to meet at the gates of a mountain temple to exorcise some curses that had started to appear around the temple. Hence why she stood by a traditional torii gate, her mood souring with each passing second. She glanced over at the monks who care for the temple and bow at them apologetically, to which they just gave her reassuring smiles and bow back softly as well. “I do apologies for my companion. Seems he still lacks the ability to read a clock.”
“How rude. And here I thought that you’d be excited to meet your future fiancé.” A teasing voice came from behind her, causing her to turn her narrowed eyes back to finally get a look at her fiancé - only to have her eyes widen when she realised just how tall the man was. She gave him a once over, noting his handsome features and white haired style upwards; and how his eyes were covered by a blindfold. He sported a soft grin which he thought might have tell her how apologetic he was, but it just causes her to get more irritated. “I do apologise for making you wait. I had a run in with some pesky curses along the way.”
For some reason Y/N did not believe his words, but she just rolled her eyes before she turned and made her way towards the torii gate, walking on the side like she was taught to do. Quietly she started to climb the stone steps up to the temple, not even caring if the man was following behind her. But she can tell from the footsteps that followed behind her, and soon he opened his mouth once more. “What? No introduction?”
“L/N Y/N.” She stated simply, her hand resting on the beautifully carved katana that rest on her hip as she started to glance about the wooded area; trying to see if she can sense any Curses near by. “Nice to meet you, Y/N-chan. My name is Goto Satoru.” The white haired shaman greeted back with a grin, to which the woman just lets out a soft hum, not necessarily paying attention to what he had just said. But Goto wasn’t deterred, walking a few steps behind her as he watches her walk before him. “You’re the oldest heir of the L/N clan?”
“Unfortunately.” The woman replied back in annoyance, to which the taller male raises an eyebrow at her response. He can tell that in that sense, they can definitely relate - they were both heirs to clans who are so backwards thinking that they think that they need to find ‘the best matches’ for all of their available heirs.
If he was being honest, Gojo had no intention of coming to arrange meeting. He wanted to blow it off with some lame excuse, or just flip off his elders when they ask. But something told him that he should just come for the sake of seeing which miserable soul was forced into the same position he was in. And if he was being honest, he doesn’t regret coming to the meeting that much anymore. “By the way, do you consider this to be our first date?”
“If it is, I can definitely say my low standards for the day just reached the floor.” She grumbled before she paused just underneath another torii gate, looking up at the Curse that was wrapped around one of the sides like a giant snake; hissing at them loudly. “How rude.” Gojo replied back with a pout, standing back and watching the woman unsheathes her katana, how she imbed her own Cursed Energy onto the blade; raising a curious brow at just how strong her Cursed Energy was.
Weirdly enough, he finds her not only interesting, but extremely hot. Who wouldn’t find a strong woman hot?
He watches her in silence as she sliced the air before her, the Curse letting out a loud cry of main as it was sliced up into pieces by invisible blades. But the woman didn’t cast the withering Curse another glance as she pushes forward. “Come on, let’s get this over with.” She sighs as she rest her katana over her shoulder, looking back at the man with an unamused look. Gojo instead grins before he follows behind the woman now getting more interested than he was before. “You know, I think you and I are going to get along well.”
“What a pain in the ass.” Was her only answer, causing his grin to widen as he hums to himself whilst following behind the clearly fuming woman. Yeah, he definitely doesn’t regret his decision to come now.
Tumblr media
It wasn’t the first time the both of them were forced to cross paths with one another.
With all that said and done, both Gojo and Y/N were definitely quite the duo. Both of them are Special Grades, and both of them work together almost flawlessly. Even though Gojo is considered ‘the strongest’, Y/N is the more polished and definitely more refined sorcerer; since she had taken her early training. Because of this they balance each other out quite nicely, making them quite the formidable duo. Due to this, they are scent to many missions together, forcing them to spend a lot of time with each other.
Y/N’s first impression on Gojo is that he doesn’t necessarily care about anyone or anything. Yet Y/N can tell that he cares for all of his students with his entire being, and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that they get to experience their youth to the fullest extent. Besides that, he’s also someone who can try and make light no matter the situation. Even Y/N can admit that his snarky comments and sarcastic responses has made her let out a laugh or two.
It wasn’t just that - it was also how, even though they were forced into a union together unwillingly, he tries to make the most out of it. Not only does he show her around Tokyo, since she’s from a town in Kyoto Province - he also made it his own mission to show her all the fun restaurants and dessert cafes all over the city that he himself visits. He also goes out of his way to make sure that her elders are not bothering her too much about when the wedding is going to be. Gojo can tell that Y/N’s elders are pushing for this more than his are, so he did visit her clan’s home a few times to make sure that they weren’t pressuring her about marriage.
Along the way he has met her parents and her siblings, somehow managing to fit into her family unit in a short about of time. Whether it’s playing video games with her younger sister, or rough housing with her younger brother, even bonding with your parents over tea - there was no denying that he somehow manages to get along with everyone. It did make her heart flutter a little, since finding a man who is not only an ease to be around, but also makes the effort to get to know your parents is a rare gem to find.
On days when they are both free, he would appear and drag her out of her home, begging for her to bring him around her hometown and to the Kyoto School for a visit. For the most part though, he just goes to the Kyoto branch so he can annoy  Utahime, who will turn to you with the most annoyed scowl on her face. “Out of all the men on this planet, you had to choose the white haired menace?” The woman would ask her junior with an unamused scowl, to which Y/N would just apologise wordlessly with a soft one of her own.
If she was being honest, she had no idea that the man she once found annoying become attractive; and was definitely not even sure when she started to fall for him. But she remembers the day when she realised that there was definitely something more she felt for him - it was family game night. Gojo, who had visited Kyoto to handle something, had dropped by with some takeout to share with your family. After a nice dinner, which was filled with laughter, Y/N sat down on the engawa of her family home; smiling softly at the sight of Gojo playing with her younger siblings.
Just the sight of the three of them bonding together, laughing and running around the courtyard that cause a warm feeling to travel through her entire person; a wider and much more sincere smile tugging against her lips. It was when a pair of crystalline blue eyes that seemed to almost glow in the night turn to face her, half hidden behind darkly tinted sunglasses as the owner grinned over at her with such child like happiness that it hit her like a truck.
“Holy shit, I’ve fallen for him.” She whispered quietly to herself as she continues to watch the oblivious trio before her, her cheeks warming the longer she watches him laugh and play with her siblings. If her past her sees her now, she might not be too proud at how they had decided to go against her number one rule - and that was not to fall for the man.
Now she is never going to hear the end of this any time soon.
