K, I get that u hate Jashi and all but why do u have to hate on the whole show? Look, I'm sorry you're getting harassed by this/these apparent Jashi shipping asshole/s n I apologise profusely on their behalf cuz that is not at all what we (or at least most of us) are about, but u have no right to fly off the handle and condemn all shippers, most of whom have never intentionally hurt anyone. And this ship is FICTIONAL... so chill. It's got nothing to do with reality. Or canon. (- a fellow 17 y/o)

I DONT hate the show in the slightest! I just feel uncomfortable partaking in the fandom cause of the way I've been treated. I mean, on prom night, I got like four anons about a post I had made a day previous (I will mention it was untagged and I may be wrong but I think I censored joshy?? I might not have I don't remember, I think I deleted that post so people would stop bothering me) and all of them were calling me the r slur, I only posted one (the one that said "watching the Internet") and the funnier part was that I didn't even bring up the age gap or anything. I just said the pairing is kinda depressing (I THINK I've made several posts saying that, I know I have deleted quite a few of my joshy posts, I did it this morning)This, unfortunately isn't the first time I've felt unsafe posting about a show I like, but I think this is the most severe time cause literally, right before I swore off of it, I felt jitters posting things. I was terrified, and still am, of posting any art of ashi (cause I'm scared they'll tag it joshy if jack is in it, or they'll make fun of me if it was florashi)And that REALLY SUCKS cause there's a lot I could have done with her, but now I can't even like her because what her introduction did to the fandom actually SCARES me. It's not even HER. It's how the fandom went berserk over a ship, that at its core, is just the same kinda ship you'd find anywhere else. Idk unrelated but I've unfortunately noticed that this seems to be...commonish. Where in a show that has a male and a female main character, the rabid shippers (who love denying gay, bi, ace, etc people exist) will show up and ruin the enjoyability of the fandom. And even in fandoms where the main ship is Gay, yeah there can be some jerks, I've dealt with em, but it's never as bad as when the main ship is het. And I had this theory for A WHILE and I think that what happened when ashi was introduced PROVED it. Tl;drI don't hate the show but I have enough qualms with the fandom that my enjoyment of it has been tainted, because it always feel like fandoms where the main ship is het has the most vicious shippers.
