the trick i found with gouache is that you lay down a semi watery layer as a first layer and it will absolutely look like the feeling when you did something very wrong and made your mum cry

but then you add the second layer as detailing parts in either lighter or darker colours of the same hue and suddenly it rises like a pheonix from the ashes of your tears
