for your question period: do you have more ideas/thoughts about the “tell me if i’m wrong about you” world or just barty/sirius in general and how the barty and regulus and regulus and sirius relationship would play into that dynamic 🤔
recently re-read tell me if i’m wrong about you and am about to fall into a barty/sirius hole…..
best of luck with the barty/sirius hole that tag is TINY
BARTY AND SIRIUS ARE FOILS I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL, i think that they're very competitive with each other and frequently trying to one-up each other and they click but they don't but they like each other but they don't and it's a whirlwind made more chaotic by the fact that both of them are trying really hard *not* to like each other because that's a great way to make everything super complicated, but they also don't want to stay away
i envision an 'i'm taking this to my grave except if we argue then it's coming out' sort of feelings confession
BARTY AND REGULUS: barty knows this is something he should not be doing, in kind of a guilty way. my guess is that he's the weak link in terms of secret-keeping - if regulus asks where he's been sneaking off to recently, he's going to fold like a piece of paper. first, right away, comes the reveal that he's been meeting up with someone - second, when regulus prods him for more information, comes the reveal of who
SIRIUS AND REGULUS: sirius knows this is something he should not be doing, in kind of a 'trespassing' way. he's not all that bothered by the notion of regulus finding out (at least in comparison to barty, who is a) more bothered and b) far more likely to spill), but he does definitely feel like he's Up To Something - barty is not an easy or simple person to get involved with, which isn't to say that sirius *is,* but sirius at least doesn't CARRY AROUND A FUCKING KNIFE FOR FUNSIES. but i think sirius likes to fuck around and find out
a big part of the appeal of barty for sirius is the fact that barty is Not impressed with sirius's capacity for darkness or history with dark arts or anything like that. he's seen it and he thinks sirius can do better, in a way that actually means he thinks sirius can do much worse but in a fun way. a horrible influence❤️
whereas a big part of the appeal of sirius for barty is the fact that sirius really gets the urge to Fight. he's explosive in a way that matches barty, and he's pretty much always going to up the ante instead of backing down, and he's proud (a black brothers trait) and stubborn (a sirius and barty trait) and barty doesn't have to hold back in any way around him
for regulus, finding out would be a real 'when worlds collide' moment, because barty and sirius are part of different universes for him, and so i think it would be really weird for him to imagine them connecting with each other

I've hit a mental block with going over TPB era so instead I've been considering what would happen after the reveal of Dovewing, Ivypool, Hollyleaf, Jayfeather and Lionblaze all being patricians born out of wedlock.
An interesting factor is Breezepelt, previously I was going to have him be Nightcloud's and part of the apprentice gang when Ivy moves to Windclan alongside Kestral, Ant, Heather and Hare. Not a major character in any regard.
What if instead Breeze was a legitimate WhiteCrow kit?
They decide to have a litter to smooth over tensions and out of grief over the loss they've experienced (being forced to break off their relationships and losing the trust of their kids). Breeze was meant to help them save face but they still don't love each other in any romantic capacity, if anything it worsened their platonic relationship. Crow shuts down emotionally, similarly to canon he is distant to Breeze and acts out of line. White is happy to be a mother again and is protective, she can't afford to lose anymore of her kids.
Then poor Breeze is caught in the middle of it all for having the audacity to be born. He understands more and more why they had him the older he gets when its clear that they weren't ready. The legitimate heir of Thunderclan, son of married skilled augurs, having all expectations placed on him after all the scandal. He was meant to be the golden child. Dovewing and Ivypool are envious, they wanted to believe their parents were WhiteCrow all along and he gets to have that. Holly, Jay and Lion are even more hostile - since the reveal they have been begrudgingly included with patricians only when absolutely necessary but are never really treated like they belong. After all being considered regular warriors before means they faced the brunt of the judgement, to them Breeze doesn't have it nearly as bad as they did. Ashfoot doesn't know what to think of him, though she is kind how can she be sure that hes really her Grandson?
So Breeze resents everything he's meant to be, angry at his parents, Thunderclan, the entire system while being at the heart of nobility.
