Having a soft heart is not a shameful thing. Being earnest about what you love isn’t either. Sometimes it feels tiring to care when so many others in the world act like nothing moves them. But it doesn’t mean you should become uncaring only to seem stronger, because allowing yourself to be moved, to love, to be sensitive and soft is a brave thing, especially in a world that often seems so cruel. Sharing a thing for a friend:

A very heavily marginalized, traumatized & vulnerable disabled person needs to travel several hundred miles early tomorrow morning (Monday December 18) to get to safety after their current property owner forced entry into their living space yesterday afternoon. The property owner gave no warning, did not request permission or consent, completely violated their already fragile sense of safety & has compromised their emotional & physical health.

" I was originally planning to make the next part of my journey across the country on Friday December 22. Since the property owner showed up unannounced and forcibly entered my living space yesterday, despite me explaining this was not appropriate for health reasons, I now need to leave early tomorrow morning as I am no longer safe here & the space has become a hazard to my respiratory health. The owner asked a lot of very personal & invasive questions, was very suspicious of me, & scrutinized my disability access needs. (I am autistic & have experienced a significant amount of harm from people "being suspicious" of me because of my disability needs). This space previously brought a sense of joy & safety but is now traumatizing me & a health hazard. I am fearful of the property owner, & do not feel comfortable or safe here. I need to travel to my next destination early in the morning. Please make this possible so I can get to safety."

They need to leave early in the morning on Monday December 18. The cost of the private transport to get them to their next destination is $175.

Please give whatever you can to get this person to safety so they can be well, recover from this ordeal & continue to work on increasing their income & supporting themself.
