hi i was just thinking about how the big mcyt blogs have really changed since i joined. like, if i think about who i consider "big mcytblr blogs" (with a grain of salt since im terrible at judging these things) i think of people like wooteena, wormweeb, gayminecraftmen, conarcoin, foryouthegays, beacon-lamp, thefluidspineofanarchy/gaseth, thatqueerchoirkid, gnfkitten, hearty-an0n, georgeehd, dreamygeorgenap, petrichormeraki, lilacandladybugs, etc. nowadays its so different and the vibes are completely changed (also id love to see if you can tell when i joined dsmpblr based on this)

and yeah, vibes definitely have changed! the main things i can trace are the size of the fandom and the way creators' boundaries are viewed. i started off as a fanartist in dteamblr, and i remember that when one of my posts blew up to a thousand notes or more, it was practically unheard of. even the biggest "iconic" posts from that time only have about 500 notes-- towards january 2021, that amount had already ballooned significantly!
