i’m very outgoing and extremely extroverted like my friends say. i’m the type of person that is always talking 😭 if you put me in a room with a stranger, the chances are extremely high that i end up befriending them (unless i feel like they don’t want to talk). but i get bad days too like other people and sometimes i just shut down and won’t talk unless spoken to.

while i am friendly, i also keep my circle small. i don’t have the ability to maintain a thousand of friendships so i have only a handful of friends that i am reallllyyyy close to.

i am very emotional and have the worst case of fomo. when i see my friends hanging out without me, i immediately feel like it’s the end of the world which is stupid and currently trying to resolve that. the way i cope is usually joining whatever org i can which makes me an extremely busy person at times.

i don’t get mad at people very often (i am easily annoyed though) and when i’m mad, i easily forgive but i /never/ forget.

i love discovering new music but my current favorite artists are phoebe bridgers and haim. i have a short-ass attention span when it comes to series and it’s been forever since i finished one. i’m more of a casual viewer, so i like movies better (especially romcoms)

what i don’t like is people who are extremely judgy and only see people negatively. it’s a pet peeve of mine when people are so quick to judge. i also hateeeee liver (although my mom encourages me to eat it bc i have iron deficiency…) but i love eating a mix of vegetables.

i’m a hopeless romantic by the way! i genuinely think that i won’t ever settle for any other than the tender and sweet kind of love. my love language are acts of service and quality time. i also really appreciate if someone listens to my ramblings tirelessly.

one of the things that i look for a partner is that he’s an active member of the community like me; it helps me see if he’s truly responsible. i also want him to care about his studies as much as i do and he should have a set goal in life. i want someone to have a direction in life, and knows that we shouldn’t be each other’s ONLY priorities.

i love to read fantasy and historical books. i also write whenever i’m on the mood and have time. one of my current obsessions is lord of the rings (which is weird bc i alr went thru an lotr phase when i was like… 6) AND I HAVE A PUPPY 🥹 i love her sm she’s so cute!!! i adore her sm and we spend time together through sitting on the floor and her laying her head on me 😭🥹

But, the writing is amazing, the plot is painful but good, so if you’re considering, you definitely should read.

Artist Suga, bartender Daichi, gay panic and basically all of the other main haikyuu characters lol,,,,, read it if that sounds interesting. I think this is probably the staple Haikyuu longfic, so you should definitely check it out at one point or another. Also, it’s SO funny and the writing is rlly good. Oh, and it’s a SLOW BURNNN.

I’ve seen so many people recommend this one, so I thought I’d include it in this recommendation, even though it’s focused around a lot of the ships, not just daisuga. It’s a supernatural hunter fic, and even just the summary is super captivating and interesting. If you like fantasy, mythology, or anything of the demons and magic sort, you should definitely check this one out. There is also some ~~magical~~ romance.

For the sake of your guys’ brains, I included this shorter fic that you could definitely complete in a short amount of time. Basically, this is about coffee barista Daichi, and how he meets Suga, who is secretly homeless. And romance blooms, of course. I definitely recommend this one if you want a short, kind of angsty, but happy ending read.

This fic is so so sooo good. I usually stray away from like shifter, werewolf type fics, but this one handles the trope so so so well. I love the kyouhaba dynamic and this fic exemplifies it without making it too cliche. The premise of the fic is Kyoutani is a dog shifter and Yahaba is a police officer. I really had a great time reading this and I definitely think that you should check it out ahhah.

If you want a CLASSIC coming of age set in high school and very gay so <33 pls check it out. The plot and writing are really well done and it is a work of art srsly.

rambling about Sk8 episode 8 (1/3)

lmao at the time of writing this its a day after I actually saw the episode I was just busy with school stuff to post on Tumblr. anyways

This is the General Overview Post! Episode 8 is where the tournament finally begins. There’s Langa pining, Adam backstory, Reki being sad, Miya and Shadow interaction and ararhebjf there's so much to talk about in this episode!!1

I really like how they didn’t just magically solve Reki and Langa’s issues in this episode, instead building on it by showing how both of them are affected by it. This is good writing here folks, even got my friend who thought Sk8 was 5/10 to bring it up to a 7/10 (I highly disagree sk8 is easily 8.5/10 or even a 9)

This episode had a great balance between drama, action and humour! Each emotionally heavy scene had a cool skating scene or funny moment to ease the tension. Like the screenshot above of Kojiro and Kaoru fighting like a married couple lol.

No character was put to waste here. Even Inspector Kamata got a cameo. She’s kind of a minor character right now and, like Tadashi, is relevant more so to Adam rather than the main gang. I’m a bit disappointed at how little she’s been shown but then again this show is about skateboarding, not politics. I really enjoy how she’s taken seriously in the show. She’s the one responsible for calling Ainosuke out on his bullshit and shutting down his shady political plans. Bonus points for being creeped out by Adam’s tap dancing shit after asking what h’ors de oeuvres were idk man.

This line is so cool I love her smmm I want her to be more plot relevant, maybe show up at the abandoned mine and be surprised. She’s such a powerful female character and I’m glad she exists.

Kudos to the Sk8 writing team and director for fleshing out Adam’s life and making him a more developed character instead of just being that obnoxious villain. Well, he still is, but now we understand why he’s like that. Kinda tragic actually... his aunts are terrible. He thinks hurting others means he loves them. I don’t sympathise with him, he’s a cruel, manipulative, narcissistic dickhead, but I can at least understand why he does the things he does.

the only Adam I will accept is this one, before he became bad.

I also enjoy how Shadow and Miya’s dynamic is expressed in the show. They have an uncle and nephew vibe, Shadow and Miya do make fun of Reki, but they don’t intend to hurt his feelings. Shadow said some pretty insensitive things but it’s pretty clear he doesn’t mean any harm. I think it’s part of the persona.

Miya wanting to help Reki is so sweet, especially since he’s been through something similar. His friends got jealous and bitter bc Miya was so much better than them at skateboarding, and now Reki is ignoring Langa over his own insecurities. Miya sees that and wants to help make it better bc he doesn’t want Langa to go through the same thing he did. I love my catboy son. I also adore Shadow breaking from his edgy persona to give some responsible adult advice. He and Miya’s relationship needs to be talked about more bc I think it’s really wholesome how they hang out together. Old man shadow and little boy Miya!

in conclusion episode 8 is fantastic and it’s a great set up for future conflict later in the series. there's also a lot of satisfying moments which I will blab about in parts 2 and 3!
