what people do not understand about westerns is that they do not have to be good. they have to be about a really weird and horrible guy who is in a situation. in the desert. and literally what else could you want

#all westerns about weird guys in situations in the desert and they are almost all really boring (affectionate) #but it can be divided into two subgroups and that is 1) full of guns and violence and macho men. which is what most people think of #and 2) existentional drama. the sun will make you go insane. there will also be shootings etc but they are sparser and have An Meaning #and both fuck!! i love westerns so so much i could watch horrible men on horses beat each other up forever it just goes so hard #film #westerns get a lot of hate and i get it but what you have to realize is that it doesnt have to be good #it just has to be kind of weird and distasteful #its a bit like horror in that regard. and i think there should be more western horror movies too. #my classmate just wrote a short story about a vamp cowboy last week and it fucking rocked #anyways so i finished the shooting. that was great i love really boring movies about nothing. so so good #i wrote a really messy review on letterboxd but really i dont know what i think about that movie. i like it tho
