I know I’ve been in fandom spaces on this site too long when I can predict with probably 100% accuracy how people would react to the characters in my dnd campaigns if they were popular podcasts or shows or something

#for the time travel campaign #belfante would have the most annoying fucking fans ever. like the epitome of annoying tumblr fans #bc theyre white and edgy and weird and kinda conventionally pretty and shit theyd be a magnet for the epitome of annoying tumblr fans #but if ppl werent their fans theyd either be like ‘eh theyre ok not my fave’ or they’d hate them bc theyre a dick #james would have a lot of fans probably bc he’s a white twink but they wouldnt be as annoying #a lot of ppl might just think he’s rly mean #hiro unfortunately wouldnt have a lot of fans bc he’s not white and we all know white characters get priority #loew and leo wouldnt get many bc theyre both old #joan would arguably have the second most annoying fans #token white girl everyone does fanart of #theyd be like ‘the future is female’ or whatever #the straight ones would either be like ‘hmmm idk why theyre pushing a romance with her and belfante i just dont see it :/‘ #or theyd hate belfante for being a ‘creepy predatory lesbian’ or whatever #and we’d have a lot of tradcath haters who are mad we’re using a catholic saint as a character #if jeff was younger he’d have a lot of weird fans but he’s older so no one would care #everyone would hate cleopatra with more venom than theyve ever hated any other villain ever #as for one of the other campaigns i’m in ppl on here would go nuts for it #bc the pc’s are three women and one bi man #gaela would have the most fans tho bc she’s pretty and white #or ember bc he’s a flamboyant purple tiefling #citrine would have the least bc she’s black and a centaur #citrine x gaela would be the biggest ship in the fandom and probably the only one with a substantial fan base #ACTUALLY SCRATCH THAT ember x fray would be the biggest bc theyre men who have interacted a few times #and fray is really edgy #so even though citrine/gaela has more of a basis they’d get shoved to the side in favor of ember/fray #fray would have a lot of really annoying stans #with the other campaign i’m not really far enough in yet to be able to tell #time to stop #dnd
