i'm autistic (self-dx, which has been a 3 year process of self-research) + bipolar (diagnosed since i was 16) and i suffer endure a handful of physical disabilities. i'd appreciate some patience and empathy - especially when it comes to tone - but i get it if you don't give me any.

i like: minding my own business, coffee, bananas, foxes, mountains, weird stuff, memento mori/danse macabre stuff, historical stuff, spacey stuff, synthpop, weird spooky experimental music (iykyk), music in general tbh, films, writing, and keeping strange hours.

i dislike: kpop (sorry, i tried it, i don't like it), cottagecore, people who disrespect my country, culture, and native language in any way, being referred to as "british" (the current prime minister literally said it's synonymous with "english", and i am not english, and calling me that word is considered xenophobic), airbnbs, ai, terfs, scabs, and yk your general dickbaggery types (who i won't interact with).

favourite bands/artists: depeche mode, recoil, bastille, lights/lūn, childcare, bobby saffron, la dispute, blur, pulp, happy mondays, catatonia, fleur de lys, mari mathias... loads of 'em, all varying in genre + popularity.

current/on-going fandoms: depeche mode (+ related things), 80s/90s bandom generally, doctor who, good omens, the simpsons, watcher (specifically puppet history, ghost files, and mystery files), and some other stuff, you'll figure it out lmao

weaknesses: blond fletch & skrunkly alan, basslines, tone detection

strengths: fuck around & find out, bilingualism, weirdly accurate spidey senses

it started off as sorta how I imagined the logistics of the typical high school au would work if it was in britain but then I realised that it just wouldn't?? like toni playing basketball wouldn't have been such a big thing or even that impressive just because of the cultural differences. and shelby being hyper religious and having these friends who are similar would just be plain weird and they would definitely not have been considered the popular kids.

I like to do this british au with the shows I watch just as a fun thing to see if it would work. for shelby and toni, you would have to change their stories quite drastically and I could do it, but it would probably require a hell of a lot of not only world building, but complete character redesign
