Van Anrooij se remet d'une blessure au frein à disque après un accident à la Coupe du monde de Tabor

Shirin van Anrooij,maillot cyclisme de Telenet Baloise Lions, se remet de l'accident dans lequel elle a été impliquée peu après le départ de la course féminine élite lors de la manche d'ouverture de la Coupe du Monde Cyclo-Cross UCI à Tabor, en République tchèque, dimanche. La Néerlandaise de 18 ans a subi une blessure profonde à l'avant-bras, apparemment causée par un frein à disque, et s'est également cassé un doigt.

Van Anrooij a envoyé lundi un message sur les réseaux sociaux, informant ses abonnés de l'étendue de ses blessures.

"J'ai été envoyée à l'hôpital après mon accident lors de la Coupe du monde à Tabor", a-t-elle écrit. «J'ai subi une intervention chirurgicale hier [dimanche] soir pour essayer de réparer ma profonde blessure au bras.

"Heureusement,maillot cyclisme Castelli aucun muscle ou tendon n'est gravement endommagé et la seule chose qui est cassée est mon annulaire. Je vais devoir rester dans cet hôpital pendant quelques jours, mais j'espère vraiment être de retour à la maison bientôt", a poursuivi Van Anrooij, avec son équipe dans l'espoir de la faire transférer dans un hôpital belge ou néerlandais pour éliminer la barrière de la langue, selon AD.nl.

«Merci pour tous ces gentils messages. Je ne sais pas combien de temps il me faudra pour me remettre de cet accident, mais je reviendrai.

Van Anrooij est devenu le champion du monde junior de cyclo-cross à Dübendorf, en Suisse,ensemble cuissard Castelli en février. Elle a également été championne d'Europe junior du contre-la-montre sur route en 2019 et a terminé deuxième du contre-la-montre junior aux Championnats du monde plus tard dans l'année, et rejoindra désormais l'équipe féminine Trek-Segafredo sur route la saison prochaine, après avoir signé un contrat de deux ans avec l'équipe américaine WorldTour.

Elle a déjà passé la seconde moitié de la saison 2020 en tant que stagiaire avec l'équipe, chevauchant fortement le Tour de l'Ardèche, le Trophée des Grimpeuses et la Brabantse Pijl.

After escaping from his spring Classics season, people are already asking the young Dutchman what his race calendar next year will look like, the 24-year-old saying that Paris-Roubaix will be added to the races he plans to ride.

Van der Poel won Dwars door Vlaanderen, De Brabantse Pijl and the Amstel Gold Race in 2019, having only raced one of the spring Monuments, the Tour of Flanders, where he finished fourth. The Corendon-Circus the rider will therefore try and add a Monument to his already impressive palmarès, having won one national road race championship as well as two cyclocross World Championships.

“My Classics program will look about the same as it is now, only Paris-Roubaix is added,” Van der Poel told Flemish newspaper Het Nieuwsblad. “The combination with the Amstel Gold Race is not simple, but I want to try it.”

Van der Poel will also look to add an Olympic title to his list of career achievements, having now officially won a place at 2020 Games in Tokyo after coming second in the World Cup mountain biking in Albstadt over the weekend, after accruing enough UCI points.

Although his sights will be set on victory in Japan, Van der Poel can’t help but look to future opportunities after the Olympics, specifically riding a Grand Tour.

“I really want to ride for once,” Van der Poel said, apparently grinning. “When? It might come soon after Tokyo.”

The Dutchman has three Grand Tours to choose between, with the Vuelta an España following directly after the Tokyo Olympics, with 2021’s Giro d’Italia or Tour de France most likely showing a more truthful prospect, even if the 2020 Vuelta starts in his homeland’s city of Utrecht and then spends the next three days in the Netherlands.

“The Tour de France remains the largest and for me the easiest I think,” said Van der Poel. “In the Giro and Vuelta there is even more climbing and that is the least appealing to me now.”
