as a texan, julian and miles being super into a simulation of the battle of the alamo is hands down THE weirdest thing about ds9. like “remember the alamo” is a joke, no one gives a shit about the alamo. it’s a lame tourist trap in an otherwise cool city. i’ve gone my entire life with hearing the name uttered in pop culture like ONCE. and then suddenly there’s this seminal sci-fi series where, over 300 years in the future, these two dorks are obsessed with it to the point they routinely participating in historical reenactments. fuckin WILD.
