not to get sappy but the espn marathon feed is playing at the bar across from where i work and i’m standing here crying a little bit because i really do love this city so much.

like people are running! 26.2 miles!! for their friends and family. or for causes that have put in such good work. or even just to prove that they can do it because they are strong, and resilient.

and people are standing along all 26.2 miles watching, cheering, smiling, and crying because they feel privileged to get watch incredible people do an incredible thing.

Two terrorists set off a bomb at the finish line of the Boston Marathon killing three and maiming many others. The city of Boston united in the days following the attack, embodying the term Boston Strong.

Those responsible were found and brought to justice, the surviving terrorist faces death for his crimes. Many still carry scars from that day, many lost limbs. Even now, ten years later we are still Boston Strong
