Casi había olvidado a la luna tranquila sobre las calles desiertas. Todos los años se descubren de nuevo las escenas naturales y la emoción es siempre ésa: haber casi olvidado, etcétera. Dificultad del arte: dar como sorpresa cosas bien conocidas. Si no te fueran bien conocidas no te interesarías tanto en tratarlas de modo que sorprendan. Felicidad del arte: darse cuenta de que una manera de vivir propia puede ser la ley de una manera de expresarse.

He had almost forgotten the calm moon over the deserted streets. Every year natural scenes are rediscovered and the emotion is always that: having almost forgotten, and so on. Difficulty of the art: to surprise well-known things. If they were not well known to you, you would not be so interested in treating them in such a way that they surprise. Happiness of art: realizing that one's own way of living can be the law of a way of expressing oneself.
