hiiiii, my very fist manga was marmalade boy 💀 this was like 15 years ago i was waaaayyyyyy too young but my aunt had it lying there lmaooooo and the latest manga i've read was ao no flag!!!! i super recommend it it's super good
goddd marmalade boy i didn't read this one but i haven't heard good things about it either 😭 all i know it's that there's some weird... step siblings? romance going on there... my god. but i get u we all have that one shoujo that will never be forgiven for its crimes. and blue flag... dun dun dun. i have a whole thing going on with blue flag but long story short my main problems were touma's outing and that masumi ended up marrying a man when she was very lesbian coded imo. the main cast was lovely i genuinely liked them that's why it was sad and disappointing to me how some stuff was handled TT

Lounge Chronicles - 5:08 AM
(This is something I’ve been writing on and off whenever I get super hit by writer’s block--I thought it might be fun to post it in snippets here before uploading the whole thing to AO3 once it’s done :D enjoy)
Tsuzuru poured his third cup of coffee and plugged his laptop into the wall of the lounge.  Damn outlet on his side of the room for needing to be fixed.  Damn Masumi for wanting a working light in their room.  Damn humidifier, taking up the last available plug in his room when he had a paper due by the end of the day and a laptop battery in desperate need of replacing.
He could only praise the heavens that today was Sunday, and it was Summer and Winter using the practice rooms today, and his current part time job was closed for renovations.  It was a once-in-a-blue-moon day that Tsuzuru didn’t have 800 other obligations to attend to.  He was grateful to be able to completely waste it on this 8,000 word essay.
At this hour, there wasn’t a soul awake in the dorms; not even Itaru stayed up this late if there wasn’t an event with one of his absolute favorite characters, and from what Tsuzuru could gather none were currently running.  Briefly, he glanced at his phone, wondering if he should check out Pocket Kniroun for the first time in almost a year.  Ultimately, though, he decided he had to at least get started before he started falling for distractions.
For once, he had actually just woken up, opting to get up incredibly early instead of staying up incredibly late.  Of course, that didn’t mean he hadn’t stayed up pretty late anyway, hence the third cup of coffee already, but.  Small improvements.
Copy-pasting the cover page format from a previous essay for the same class, he quickly adjusted the information to fit the new assignment, typed out “INSERT TITLE HERE,” and punched the enter key until the cursor moved down to page 2.  Time to write.
…tiiiime to write.
…any day now.
Tsuzuru buried his face in his arms, muffling his groan so as to not wake anyone.
Well, he supposed it wasn’t a code red situation yet.  He still had, what.  18 hours and 46 minutes before this thing was due?  He could spare a little bit of time wasting.  Maybe a mental workout to get his brain juices working.  (He made a mental note to never say “brain juices” again.)
He opened a new word document and started drafting out a backstory for the guy who sweeps the steps in Nocturnality.

What I like & dislike about the 6 Boukenger Characters?
Sakura Nishihori
Tumblr media
What I like about Sakura Nishihori is that yes she has courage and always has the eye on the Preciouses. She will do anything to find or save the Precious or her friends. She was a former self-defence force, and she was raised as ab elite of combat. She doesn't stop or let anything happen she keeps on going till she solves it. I also like her friendship with Satoru Akashi.
What I dislike about her? Well it's hard to say because she is very talented in her own ways. So I pretty much got nothing to dislike about her.
Natsuki Mamiya
Tumblr media
What I like about Natsuki is that she very joyful and loves to make everyone happy. She is your sort of Kawaii Yellow girl. She sort of like your Little Miss Sunshine but more of a jumpy one. Always smiling at everything and will fight with her friends against the enemies. She also loves helping her friends and everyone else when they are in a struggle, I also like doing that as well to make the situation much easier it's like we like to problem solve with out maths lol.
What I don't like about Natsuki? This may sound harsh but she can get into trouble without thinking straight which I used to have that problem when I was young so we can relate to that. But she falls into way too many traps and I think that's a struggle with someone who has a very open personality like Natsuki.
Satoru Akashi
Tumblr media
What I like about Satoru Akashi? Satoru is a brilliant Chief who never gives up and keeps trying. He is also known as The Fiery Adventurer always loves to go adventuring for treasures (Preciouses). Satoru is an amazing leader for the team and has a calm expression to the team. He was once a Treasure-hunter known as the "Immortal Fang". But the tragic deaths of his partners Kyoko and Shirou in a blaze and trapped made him retired but only to hired by SGS.
What I dislike about him? Well I can't say because he has such a bold heart and a steel soul to all his team mates.
Souta Mogami
Tumblr media
What I like about Souta Mogami? Souta has a very soft spot. An solid heart and a brilliant mindset. He is amazing at technology and does a lot of coding like I did in college, so he specialist in personal computers and digital technology. He is an ex spy, so in the team he is the information expert of the team. He has a love postion on some of the women and is pretty much has a thing where he has a lot of romantic love inside his blood.
What I dislike about Souta? I didn't like the evil version to him. He nearly killed Natsuki and he was disrespectful. But that was an episode where there was the good Souta and the evil Souta.
Masumi Inou
Tumblr media
What I like about Masumi Inou?
It's hard to describe Masumi Inou is pretty much makes me think of a metal head by style but he's pretty much someone who will be friends to anyone but kind of have two personality.
What I dislike about Masumi Inou. He can be very cocky and selfish. He also can be very Jealous sometimes.
Eiji Takaoka
Tumblr media
What I like about Eiji Takaoka? I don't just like him I love him. He has brave personality and always fighting for his life. He may not be able to ignore the past straight away but then he does at the end. I love his hair with the mix of the brown and while makes it so lush. The way he eats as well it totally me with chocolate bar sometimes.
No bother saying what I dislike about him because he is amazing and love Eiji a lot. The only thing I didn't like is him faking his death once scares me.
Out all the Team I have my top 3 favourite members.
Satoru Akashi - Bouken Red
Soya Mogami - Bouken Blue
Eiji Takaoka - Bouken Silver

RIP Yagihara Mami who thought to herself "I can't be Touma's girlfriend nor do sports like his other male friends... oh I know, I'll share his interests in games, I like those! And will finally be nice to Ichinose, they get along so well", thus getting friendly to the one person that getting friendly with would actually upset Touma

Detective Conan Movie Ranking
According to me. Spoilers Below
#1. Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century (1999) [8.1/10] This one has everything. The best music, great action, great ShinRan, and Kaito Kid being the slickest MF on Earth.
#2. Detective Conan: Captured in her Eyes (2000) [7.7/10] More great music, in a hard hitting, down to earth story where amnesia is treated properly (Unlike a certain Muppet film).
#3. Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire (2019) [7.3/10] It’s Bond, but with Conan and Kid. What’s not to love? Over the Top in the best way.
#4. Detective Conan: The Time-Bombed Skyscraper (1997) [7.3/10] Sometimes, you just can’t get rid of a bomb! Lots of fun, and very tense throughout.
#5. Detective Conan: The Crimson Love Letter (2017) [7.3/10] I never thought I would be so captivated by a card game, of all things! Kazuha and Heiji at their best.
#6. Detective Conan: The Rave Chaser (2009) [7.2/10] Conan survives a B.O. encounter because Gin is an ass to his own teammates. Also, Ran Bullet Dodge.
#7. Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare (2016) [7.2/10] Mitsuhiko becomes dangerously close to the B.O’s hit list when Curacao spills the NOC list to him. Nice to see him get involved, though.
#8. Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street (2002) [7.2/10] Conan and co get trapped in a video game by a depressed rogue AI. Victorian London is scenic and stunning, and Yusaku talks some good politics.
#9. Detective Conan: Countdown to Heaven (2001) [7.1/10] A set of Twin Towers, on fire, in the year 2001?! It’s more likely than you think.
#10. Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer (2001) [7.1/10] Hectic doesn’t even begin to describe it. the Action is OTT as always, the PSB are chillingly powerful, and so are the bad guys who can blow up your SmartFridge.
#11. Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence (2011) [7/10] Lots of things blow up. Conan saves an entire village from an avalanche BY HIMSELF.
#12. Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker (2012) [7/10] Lots more things blow up. Conan and the Detective Boys save the day with the power of Football.
#13. Detective Conan: The 14th Target (1998) [7/10] A literally by the numbers murder case, with lots of tension and Conan shooting a GUN.
#14. Detective Conan: Magician of the Silver Sky (2004) [6.9/10] Conan, Kid, and Ran try to land a plane after the culprit accidentally poisons the pilots by mistake. It’s fun.
#15. Detective Conan: The Private Eye’s Requiem (2006) [6.8/10] Mitsuhiko yeets a broom at a criminal, and Conan and Heiji panic on a Rollercoaster.
#16. Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in the Sky (2010) [6.8/10] A gang of thieves pretend to release a deadly virus so they can steal some Buddha Statues. Would be better if Kaito Kid wasn’t so pervy around Ran.
#17. Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper (2014) [6.7/10] Masumi Sera takes a bullet for Conan, while Fake News throws Tokyo into a panic.
#18. Detective Conan: Jolly Roger + The Deep Azure (2007) [6.6/10] The Kids go on a Treasure Hunt. Ran and Sonoko use the backstory of 2 Lesbian Pirates to fend off some bad guys before Conan comes to save them.
#19. Lupin III vs Detective Conan: The Movie (2013) [6.5/10] the madcap, Over the Top absurdity of it all is far more befitting of Lupin than it is for Conan, and poor Edogawa-kun is left to chase the plot for most of it.
#20. Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital (2003) [6.4/10] Shinichi disguising as Heiji is pure cheese. The K:RBAY tier CGI is the fly in your soup.
#21. Detective Conan: Private Eye in the Distant Sea (2013) [6.3/10] Ran gets dunked in the Sea and is promptly forgotten about for half the film.
#22. Detective Conan: Full Score of Fear (2008) [6.2/10] A man rigs an opera house with 24 bombs, the first 23 of which pose no danger to the occupants inside. Haibara saves the day by coding via shittyflute.
#23. Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths (2005) [6/10] A good murder case gets interrupted by a 0 IQ move from Ran, and Conan only lerns she is in danger thanks to his Spidey Senses.
#24. Detective Conan: Sunflower of Inferno (2015) [5.8/10] It is long established that Kaito Kid is good at heart and doesn’t kill. This film will waste your time trying to tell you otherwise, until the villains reveal themselves.
Let me know what you think/ what other lists you might want me to do!

I was recently rereading Blue Flag since the volumes are now all out, and I came across your posts when looking for more content. Idk if this alters your perception in any way, but Masumi's husband is implied to be a trans man that transitioned relatively recently in Japanese, apparently. There are some hints of that in English, like when he doesn't know how to introduce himself and when asks if he looks too weird and if "this" works for him. But in KAITO fashion, that is up to the reader to interpret what he meant. But apparently the hints are stronger in Japanese? Just from how the language works and stuff
yep, I'm aware!! IMO a trans Mitsuyuki reading is the only one that makes sense, considering his existence as a comparison/contrast/foil to Futaba! And especially given that her arc didn't necessarily go as far as some people expected, he's a nice flourish to the end of the story and goes some way to tie up the subplot concerning Futaba's relationship to queerness and gender. Good lad
I didn't necessarily want to bring it up in my other post since that's a whole nother kettle of fish that would extend the post even beyond its many paragraphs haha ;; I've heard a bit of discussion about how Mitsuyuki being trans might affect interpretations of Masumi's story, including the following:
"Mitsuyuki is a man regardless of AGAB and his trans identity doesn't change that Masumi is a lesbian-coded character married to a man, which is a harmful trope"
"there's a lot of historical overlap between the transmasc and wlw communities (see Radclyffe Hall, Leslie Feinberg) so it's possible that Masumi identifies/identified as a lesbian and is still happily married to a guy"
"Masumi is canonically attracted to Futaba, who could be read as a transmasculine person who didn't feel the need to explore their gender further (as a lot of people probably are/were), so it makes sense for her to end up with a trans man"
(my take is probably closer to #2, I read Masumi as a kinsey 4)
but like you say! it's v much implicit but not quite explicit in the text, so I didn't want to stick it in the pro or con column for how Masumi's arc and orientation were handled, since without that explicit confirmation (like we got for Taichi) a lot of readers have assumed/will assume that Masumi has married a cis guy. And argument #1 has a point, though arguments #2 and #3 provide the groundwork for why Mitsuyuki's transness would support the idea of a consistent Masumi, he's still a guy and she's still a character that a lot of readers clock as lesbian (preserving the issue of whether her ending was good, lesbophobic, or otherwise)

Oof is this a bad time? Or is it a great excuse to procrastinate?☆〜(ゝ。∂)
How much, out of 10, are you of each spring troupe member?
Don’t forget to take care of yourself (╹◡╹)♡
Natsugumi | Akigumi | Fuyugumi
So we’re going in order~ I guess I’ll start...But for the record I’m not explaining everything as somethings I don’t want to say ^^;;
In summary:
Sakuya = 2/10
Masumi = 2/10
Tsuzuru = 6.5/10
Itaru = 9/10
Citron = 6.5/10
Chikage = 9.5/10
Some reasoning under the cut, but the score mostly reflects it all~
Sakuya = 2/10
Apart from the ‘hides behind a smile’ there’s not many similarities
Oh and I guess the fact that relatives don’t really seem to care at all- ^^;;
Masumi = 2/10
Isolating myself with music, same here buddy same~ Other than that, there isn’t much here either as the only other thing is I’m also close to my grandmother too
Tsuzuru = 6.5/10
Hi, hello I am a sleep deprived student ^^;;. Add in the fact that I can cook as well, but I’ll just make basics when alone lol. While I’m not an older sibling (I’m actually an only child), I tend to often take care of my younger cousins, and I have been a teaching assistant in the past so I do deal with kids a lot- I’m clearly not at his standard though. I guess stubborn streak and a slight temper can also be included...
Itaru = 9/10
Oh boy- Lets just say I was a huge gamer a few years back and was obsessed with one series as well. Taruchi also seems like the kind of role model I am, only giving actual advice once in a blue moon. There’s also the fact that we both had lots of issues in school (think to kniround’s story) so there is a huge façade thing going for the both of us to deal with this. I may also be a chunni, but we won’t talk about that
Citron = 6.5/10
He was stuck becoming something he didn’t want to be. I am stuck becoming something I don’t want to be. We literally had little time to think of our own dreams to pursue until a family member decided that we must do something completely different. So now when I’ve recently been questioned by that particular member on why I’m going into a certain profession, I totally understand how Citron must’ve felt at the end of the Greatest Journey. Spoilers, I am super bitter about it as there is nothing I can do now, and very lost-
Other than this, I am a clown just for jokes and I lie quite a bit too...
Chikage = 9.5/10
Yeah fun fact I actually kin Chikage~!
Hiding feelings? Check. Lost some important relationships in the past? Check. Liar? Called a charlatan? Check and check. Huge tease? Yep~! I also LOVE spicy food! A lot! Also fellow megane here. I even have something to protect, but its not as big as Chikage’s. I keep a huge front like him so I don’t have to deal with getting close to people, as I too, was betrayed. Also, sleep deprived person who likes coding- There is more...But not saying :3
---
In conclusion I kin Chikage and Itaru from harugumi (there are more kins but you shall see the rest later lmao)
Take care too everyone~! Including you pandapillow, even though your making me suffer /j

Thoughts about Ao no Flag/Blue Flag by Kaito
It’s been a long while since I’ve just kind of rambled about an entire piece of media like this but I wanted to share my thoughts on Blue Flag! I read it all today and seeing other people’s comments on each chapter got me thinking.
I don’t really have anything to build my ethos here which isn’t really necessary anyway because this is more of me just sharing how I view the story rather than trying to convince other people there’s a “correct” way to understand it. But I’m a queer person if that helps in understanding how these thoughts came to form.
Content warning: reclamation of the word queer. Also ending spoilers.
One review I scrolled said that Ao no Flag was not a LGBTQ+ genre love story, and the queer characters were just side characters. Which I don’t think is entirely wrong, but I do think that if you are looking at Blue Flag for a high school setting queer romance, that’s not what you’re going to get.
AnF *is* a romance in that it has a focus on Taichi and Tauma’s romantic feelings, but not strictly about how they feel about each other. But I feel like it is a mistake to let the romance swallow your entire focus in this story.
To me, Taichi’s story was before any thing else, about coming of age and navigating personal relationships. Romantic and platonic. It’s so easy to get caught up in the love triangle we’re presented here (or quadrangle if you include Masumi). In the very beginning the reader is faced with the question “friend or lover” and it’s a constantly reoccurring theme in the decisions characters are forced to make.
It’s not focused on Taichi and Touma in the romantic sense. Instead we see Taichi’s buried resentment towards Touma as he slowly falls in love with Futaba as he is trying to help her get with him. I think it’s also worth mentioning that there’s a lot of foreshadowing of Taichi’s own oblivious attraction towards Touma though. I noticed a lot of readers say that the endgame where they got married made no sense but I remember the second the bus scene happened I just stopped and said “these bitches gay. good for them. good for them.” There’s also a notable amount of times Taichi is flustered by Touma or has one of those romantically coded “holy shit your beautiful” panels.
I also really enjoyed watching Futaba’s feelings develop as she still cared deeply and equally for Taichi and Touma and didn’t want to give them up. Again the theme of choices friend or lover. I really like how she chose both, or at least that’s what she wanted.
As for the ending where Futaba and Masumi got married to random guys we weren’t introduced for, it’s slightly unsatisfying but I think it makes sense. Along with how they brushed over all the years in between and how things changed.
Masumi’s character development has a lot of focus on conformity in a conservative society. Akiko’s conversation with Masumi helps in understanding that things don’t just “fall into place” when you are an adult. There are conscious choices behind finding your place in the world and choosing where you will allow your feelings to take you.
Masumi, Futaba, and Taichi’s emotions just happened to lead them down different paths. There wasn’t anything special or revolutionary about it. And I think that’s fine, and quite realistic actually. It’s not really about conforming to society’s expectations in this case, and more about following the flow of one’s emotions. Relationships shift as you grow and the results vary depending on how/if you choose to fight against the change.
Although I wish we had more insight on how Taichi eventually realized his feelings for Touma, I don’t think the ending was completely out of the blue. If you know where to look, you can see there are hints of romance from the start. My only question is what happened after his split with Futaba that allowed Taichi to realize and pursue these feelings.
So I guess I understand readers who were upset expecting a more traditional romance. But I think AnF is a quality queer romance in it’s own right. Not for the relationship between the two main men, but for the decisions and friendships of the queer leads.
so this was a fun ramble. If you want to read more about the specifics of tropes and foreshadowing im referring to, you can find them here. goodnight!

An otome lover’s guide to A3
So. A3.
Not an actual otome, but the actor management game and anime from Cybird (of Ikemen All the Things fame) has a bunch of boys. Ok, so a Lot of Boys. All the Boys, in fact. And men. Some of them are like thirty. Which is refreshing.
Tumblr media
Where do you even begin telling them apart? Here is an Attempt, based on the first season of the game.
Spring troupe: The Vanilla boys
Bright, youthful, mostly kinda normal. This troupe stands out  for its overall lack of experience and its anime protag willingness to overcome hurdles. Most resembles the main team in a sports anime.
Tumblr media
Sakuya Is baby. This boy is a golden retriever puppy that has yet to realize he's ended up in human form. Orphan street urchin with a heart of gold. He's kinda useless as an actor but he will ganba all the way until he makes it. Protect him. Mostly from himself.
Masumi A Giant Friggin Red Flag. Weirdly obsessed with MC. His personality apart from stalker syndrome is what I like to call 'the Kageyama Tobio': genius at one thing and uninterested or terrible at everything else. He is seemingly incapable of social interactions and at best uninterested in any of them apart from MC. Also really harsh on people who don't perform to his standards, which is almost everyone.
Tzuzuru The Self Sacrificing One. Look, this dude gave up most of his dreams to look after his siblings, and he literally joined you because otherwise he'd be sleeping in a cardboard box (Why are all these dudes street urchins?) Wants to be a playwright so he foregoes any semblance of sleep to finish scripts. Has the spinal cord of a jellyfish unless in Very Specific Cases. Cute when he pouts. Pouts a lot. Someone save him.
Itaru Jekyll and XxHydexX. Super cordial professional by day, game addict that will murder you for messing up his kill streak by night. He's So Friggin Pretty why is he a dick?? Doesn't really know if he's even into this theatre thing. You know he is. Of course he is. Calms down tremendously over the course of the arc, just don't, you know, get between him and his gamer score I guess.
Citron What the Foreigner. Mysterious foreign prince possibly on the run from his parents/the cops. Your theatre is a convenient hiding place for him, because obviously getting into showbiz is what you do when you want to remain anonymous. Speaks Japanese in a weird way. In fact, he sounds Exactly Like Utapri's Cecil despite having a different VA.  Quirky to a fault. Has potentially been trained as some kind of covert operative but is surprisingly cheerful about everything.
Summer Troupe: The Diva's
A group of highly talented dudes with varying degrees of social issues. Most resembles the cast of a smaller indie otome game.
Tumblr media
Tenma The Arrogant One. A child actor from tv wanting to learn stage work. Has zero social skills. He's brash, completely full of himself and extremely critical of everyone else. Needs to learn the Power of Friendship which, spoiler, he obviously does, albeit in a very tsun kindof way. Can't let them know you care, ever.
Yuki Salt Personified. This kid is friggin 14 years old and wears dresses but he will rip you to shreds with his words. Winner of the most deadpan delivery of burns. He's in middle school ffs. Really into fashion. Resident costume designer. Potentially serves as a representation on gender roles in theatre, but the whole thing is fairly lowkey. The team, bless them, just accept him for who he is, sharp tongue and all.
Muku The Soft One. Another middle schooler, this one is way less sharp with his words. Into shoujou manga. Has severe insecurities and a propensity to start sentences with 'um'. Shaking leaf, what is he doing on a friggin stage. He actually has pink hair, could he BE any more squishy. Protecc.
Misumi The Weird One. I realize several characters fit that description, but Misumi is obsessed with triangles and lives in a  liminal space between realities so I don't know what to tell you. Also he's like… spiderman. Inhuman amount of acrobatics. Another homeless street urchin (Tokyo - is it Tokyo??? - appears to have an issue, guys). Sweet dude though. Chill and positive about everything, as long as it is triangular.
Kazunari The Influencer. Resident designer and bigshot on social media. He's down with Literally Everything. Likes everyone, is cool about every instance. Unerringly positive to an unhealthy degree. Really, Really conflict averse, even. You could call him painfully insecure, but that's like most of the cast. Wearer of hats in a non-ironic way.
Autumn Troupe: The Delinquents
This troupe consists almost entirely out of (ex) violent delinquents and (ex) criminals. The tough guys, no one here is totally innocent. Most resembles the cast of a beat-em-up.
Tumblr media
Banri The Number One. Hotshot teenager who's never tasted defeat in his life. Good at anything without trying, so he never tries. Obsessed with outperforming Juza because he's like the one dude Banri can't beat at fisticuffs. Honestly kinda insufferable for most of their arc.
Juza The Lone Wolf. Cursed with a resting bitch face and an inability to perform in social settings. Considered a delinquent and constantly challenged to fights. Is actually sweet lamb, just with lots of muscles. Cripplingly low self esteem. Wants to act to be someone else. Protect at all costs.
Omi The Responsible one. Wait, that was an option?? Big brother type. Perfect son in law. A keeper. This guy is mature and he cooks and it makes me wonder what's wrong with him. There's probably a dark secret (narrator voice: there was a dark secret).
Taichi The Sunshine Child. Really into yoyo's. Like the toy, not the male subspecies. Has the hair colour and the vocal volume of a shonen jump protag. Bouncy and very loud. Feels way younger than the middle schoolers, though he's in high school.
Sakyo The Debt Collector. Actual yakuza agent. The one the theatre owes a lot of money too. Secretly really loves the performing arts, because of course he does. Massive tsun. I wasn't looking at you, baka. Should have been an accounting professor in another life. Wordy.
Winter troupe:The Drama Team.
No really, most of them have drama and angst written all over them. Only team that consists entirely out of actual adults. Angsty adults, but still. Most resemble the cast of a daytime soap opera.
Tumblr media
Tasuku The Defector. The top actor from the rival gang troupe that joined Mankai instead. Fitness buff. Pretty clear about his boundaries for right and wrong. Sweet bean, really. Has a lot of emotions about his childhood friend Tsumugi. Seems to have a lot of feelings in general. Red oni type.
Tsumugi The Subdued one. Talks like a wallflower, looks like he got his fashion choices out of a high end french magazine from the eighties. One of the boring ones. Cinnamon roll. Blue oni. Massive self esteem issues due to past trauma. Weird relationship with his childhood friend Tasuku. They'll work it out, you know they will.
Hisoka The Narcoleptic. Literally washed up and adopted by the  theatre group that found him. Weirdly good at acting. Sleeps about 80 percent of the day. Needs to be poked and cajoled with treats. Might actually be a cat. Has no recollection of his life before he was picked off the street by a desperate director.
Homare The 'Extra AF'. A poet who dresses in loud costumes and has really stupid hair. Loud, overtly confident in his bad poetry and just generally confusing to watch. A Gentleman. Flamboyant. Kinda gay coded. Hisoka's crutch and the only reason that man is able to perform like a human being.
Azuma The Flirty One. A Cuddling Professional, because this is a teen rated game and we can't put in an actual prostitute or host. Unnaturally pretty. Indeterminate age. Sensitive. At least one of these dudes has empathetic abilities, may as well be the cute one. Extremely flirty and Experienced (tm) at life.

This has been in the works for a long time, and I think I’m finally satisfied. Here’s my current top 50 favorite anime ost tracks. The numbers could probably be moved around a bit, but this is good enough for now. My only rules were the track had to actually play in an anime, and it couldn’t be the primary op or ed. I also kept it to one track per anime for simplicity (not counting alternate adaptations and such).
Because I can’t number things backwards on here, I’m gonna list it as a count-up instead of a countdown. So number 1 is my least favorite on the list, and number 50 is my most favorite.
the legend Kajiura Yuki (Fate/Zero)
Unmei no Yoru -UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS- Kawai Kenji (Fate/stay night UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS)
M08b Kajiura Yuki (Gekijouban Kara no Kyoukai "Fukan Fuukei")
Requiem Hiiragi Nao (Dusk Maiden of Amnesia)
Katyusha Matvej Isaakovich Blanter (GIRLS und PANZER)
