no please share your Bloodbourne AU with us….im glad im not the only one thinking about this
Hey sorry I'm only getting to this now! I never get asks for this blog so I don't bother checking often.
I don't have any particularly detailed thoughts, and a lot of things just don't fully add up unless you ignore some lore on both ends but here's re a few ideas I've had (they're all just very very obvious connections tbh they're not super interesting I think):
Obviously the religion of the Ninth is the Healing Church
The Cathedral Ward, specifically Oedon Chapel, would be the Ninth/Drearburh equivalent
It gets a bit complicated when we get to talking about the Lyctors, Resurrection Beasts, and BoS, however
I think the best option for BoS to be would be the hunters (Wake being the much sexier and much much less creepy version of Gherman (would that make Pyrrha Lady Maria?) as the leader/founder)
The Byrgenwerth Scholars could be the Lyctors (or necromancers more broadly)
The Lyctors would be the known bosses and scholars we know of (Maria, Micolash, Rom, etc.) although they could also include hunters like Gascoigne
The RBs would be the bosses that are not human (Amygdala, Blood Starved Beast, (potentially Vicar Amelia idk how I feel about including her tbh)
Here's the tricky part:
John and Alecto could be Willem and Laurence, but I see Jod as Laurence in this (because he would use the blood (which in this case it would be the necromantic equivalent ig??) to "help" people but Alecto would not vibe with it)
However Willem was essentially the founding figure of Byrgenwerth, which, if we didn't do a 1:1 comparison could also work
Laurence could also be Anastasia the First, being the respective founders of their churches
Another issue is that I don't know what to make of the necro/cav duos. Admittedly, this is what makes the AU fall apart for me a little, although I'm sure there's a way to make it work
The easiest thing to do would be to make them Hunters, but then the BoS thing would have to be different
We could pull a Soul Eater and have the cavs be the Hunter weapons because the healing church also has hunters, but that doesn't quite fit for me
Unless
The Cainhurst Vilebloods could be the BoS equivallent, going against the church founded under Laurence/John
This lets the hunters be necromancers and their cavaliers, provided they hunt in pairs
This also lets Pyrrha be Maria and have some ties to BoE through Wake
Some characters might not have direct connections tho
Nona is hard to account for on account of the whole Nona thing
Characters like Patches don't seem to fit with tlt either
The House system would have to be potentially scrapped, although they could be allied/paired off based off of branches from the Scholars
Magic is also a challenge, as the closest thing are the Arcane Hunter Tools and Blood which isn't the same as necromancy (especially not TLT necromancy with the intricacies of the River, thanergy and thallergy, etc.)
Lyctorhood would also be a challenge, although it could be as simple as "the soul/body/blood is absorbed when 'ascended'" or something
The whole "Bloodborne is full of references to the horrors of womanhood and pregnancy and femininity and blood" thing also doesn't fit quite as neatly with tlt because it has a more anti-imperialist bend to it and gender-fuckery happens, but it's not quite like in Bloodborne
For this reason, the whole Pthumerian part of the lore doesn't fit in any way that's easily apparent to me, although I'm open to ideas on all of this, particularly I would love to find a way to fit Queen Yharnam into all this without just making her Wake because they're both the only ones who are prego.
Anyway yeah that's about it lmao hope it's as interesting as you thought it would be

Datability/Fuckability of every Bloodborne boss
You know how it is....
Tumblr media
Cleric Beast — First boss of the game and very simple. He's quite the acrobatic, and is permanently burned into my mind whenever I walk across the bridge. He has a lovely voice that he uses to scream at me from the very beginning of the game. 7/10.
Tumblr media
Father Gascoigne — Do I really need to say anything..... Deep voice, bloody, tall, DILF, religious man. Being able to summon him in Central Yharnam and just twirl your hair at how tall he is..... Don't worry about his wife. His wife's dead. And his children need a new mom and I've already accidentally killed them, so there is absolutely nothing in the way of our fucked up bloody romance. 10/10.
Tumblr media
Blood-starved Beast — You know..... I'll give them points for being in one of my favourite locations (the chapel, not exactly Old Yharnam), but the poison sweeping from every orifice of their body really is a major turn off. I love their mangly and skinned look, but I would rather not die while cuddling. 4/10.
Tumblr media
Vicar Amelia — Probably the first boss to give me genuine trouble, but I'm alright with that! She was a very beautiful human woman and became an even more beautiful Borzoi woman. Even in her transformed state, she still holds firm to her values and religion, so she would never betray me just because now she's able to scream really loud. Her friends outside really don't approve of the relationship, but there's nothing more juicier than a forbidden relationship. 8/10.
Tumblr media
Witches of Hemick — I'm not saying yes for her, she isn't really my type (her eyes are a little...too much), but the Mad Ones in the polycule are extremely lovely and I want them to hold me in their arms and protect me from all danger. 5/10.
Tumblr media
Shadows of Yharnam — YES! MY DUDES! Seeing three robed guys slowly creep into view from the fog is already enough to make a lass swoon, but with the added Nazgul effect of them and just the overall fact that they are Pthumerian makes me so desperately be in the middle of whatever they got going on. Don't worry, the Queen will be fine on her own, she's already dead anyhow. 10/10.
Tumblr media
Rom, the Vacuous Spider — MILF, loyal children, loyal to the cause that made her turn into a mindless cosmic spider at the bottom of the lake. Her very tiny legs are kinda silly, and I don't really have that much attraction to her, but I think we could be besties. 4/10.
Tumblr media
Amygdala — YES! WOMAN ALIEN MOMENT! She is seven arms of beauty. There are two particular variations that I'm obsessed with: passed the Yahar'gul Chapel lamp, there's a lass that is...extremely dangerously hanging from one of the buildings, and a few of her arms are just dangling without any purpose as she just lazily looks down at us. The other one is back up the way we came, passed The Girls, and she's just clinging to the bars over this walkway, and you can get so close to her and see her heartbeat and she just stares down at you with all her tentacles and it makes my heart blush. 100/10.
Tumblr media
Laurence, First Vicar — His human form, even though we just hear his voice, is an automatic yes, but this isn't about him, it's about his fucked up flaming transformation version. From the moment of the boss intro, it's obvious that he's just having a bad hangover, and I feel for him! I'll get a washrag and damped the flames before giving him a full bottle of Ibuprofen (I feel like he'd need all that) and taking a cuddle break with him on the altar. 8/10.
Tumblr media
Ludwig, the Holy Blade — Honestly....his second phase is sorta attractive, but he really just gives me dad vibes instead of husband vibes. 2/10.
This is the end of Tumblr post due to photo limit, second part will be reblogged!

Here's a lore ask: Why the hell are pyres still burning in Old Yharnam? It seems like the burning happened an extremely long time ago, with how everyone talks about it, and the fact that the ashen blood was started by the healing church seemingly before the choir came about. I'm pretty sure the Choir didn't have much to do with the research hall until Lady Maria's death since npcs and item descriptions comment that the research hall is the church's sins and not the choirs. We know that Yharnam and the Church have been around for a while considering that there have been generation's worth of Vicars. So point is, when the hell did the burning happen? Was Laurence even alive in that era?
It will be a 'collab' answer, because I showed your ask to @val-of-the-north when I received it, and before I could've even began to think about it, he suggested a solid idea! So, basically, you are asking about these:
Tumblr media
This is what Val suggested:
Tumblr media
I double-checked Old Yharnam myself in Bloodborne today, just in case, and... Yes, this is quite correct - these pyres are found as you open the sealed door and enter, and especially as you approach Church of the Good Chalice:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will be fair, there is at least one pyre I remember that is somewhere midways... In fact, I think it was the only one so dislocated. In general though, Val is right, and I also think it is a solid idea that they double as funeral rites and as a warning for the beasts (to not go out) and for the hunters that would somehow sneak past Djura's rain of bullets (to not proceed)! Not out of realm of possibility that Blood-Starved Beast could've also been so aggressive that it would even attack other beasts, though.
Alternatively, yes, it would also be pretty neat if beasts themselves would've set these pyres. Beast Patient type feels slightly closer to humanity (female one wears a cape, they can climb the ladders, all that). I just think Djura (and maybe his ally) doing this would be more likely, since these beasts fear fire! Perhaps, the pyres like this ARE the "blasphemous ways of Yharnam":
Tumblr media
________________________
Okay, we are now at my part of the answer, which is about the timing of the events! You are right - that was the Healing Church, and also that it came before Choir. I will clarify though that it is even more evidential in lore; the Choir and its Orphanage evolved FROM the Research Hall:
Tumblr media
You can ask for extra screenshots if you don't remember / can't access the game yourself right now / etc, but basically, not only that but also when we visit the Orphanage, we can see from the balcony more clearly that it is just Research Hall entrance from Hunter's Nightmare but without beds, we fight large Celestial Emissary in the same garden where more "cosmic" patients are in the Nightmare, Living Failures are visually implied to be early! Celestial Emissaries, etc... My quickest way to explain it is that creation of the Choir was the one final split between 'nerdy' Church (eyes) and 'normie' Church (blood healing), when previously they were doing whatever worked (for example, Adeline having been both Blood Saint and a patient of Church's attempts at obtaining eyes). But I side-tracked!
Basically, the burning of Old Yharnam happened a long time ago, and strongly implied to have happened at the very night when Hunter's Dream was conceived:
Tumblr media
Set of the Charred Hunter is also notably worn by the NPCs named Djura's Ally and Djura's Apprentice:
Tumblr media
(Using retranslation document by Last Protagonist just in case, as I always do ( x ))
Basically, somehow Laurence did the switch-and-bait with the cord the Church had to offer Laurence as host of the Dream, Old Yharnam was burnt and Powder Kegs were the ones doing it at the same time. It is not 100% stated, but I feel like mention of "that moon" would imply Bloodmoon/Paleblood, of course, since summoning Great One(s) with an infant (which Third Umbilical Cord entails, as we could see from Mergo) will trigger it:
Tumblr media
Interestingly, it means that Rom's concealment did not exist during Laurence's ritual, but it already did during Mensis ritual. Use however you like!
And this is also why many people agree that Djura must have been the first Dreaming Hunter - someone able to be involved in burning of Old Yharnam, while not being able to die until the night ended... No wonder it would've broken his heart to go through all that...
I would say these piles are a much better example of what left of the people (beasts?) that burnt on that night:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Disturbingly enough, the anatomy in these piles is very much human, so those burned in Old Yharnam's tragedy were not only beasts themselves, but also simply people living there - perhaps, as "preventive" measure, with the Church believing they were infected too... ...or spreading that belief, to support the narrative about beasthood being transmitted like plague, and not though blood.
Tumblr media
Don't quote me on that, but I prefer to also think that the beasthood tormening Old Yharnam was an honest mistake from Laurence / Healing Church!
Tumblr media
You will notice that this beast appears to be crucified Blood-Starved Beast variant - an infamously venomous beast, otherwise found in Loran (the only other area where Beast Patients variant of the beasts is!) and Hintertombs (all-over highly poisonous pool). A smaller, non-boss variant is protected in Hunter's Nightmare by Djura's Apprentice... figures. And that altar you see over there? It is where you collect the first ritual blood you can reliably access in the game!
So, I feel like they did try to heal people with the "miraculous" blood, but... this particular blood was poisoned, causing illness Gilbert has, rather than average 'strong health boost but you should be careful now'. Again - not downvoting the idea that causing Ashen Blood was a planned action to MAKE people sick (and thus need blood healing), just prefer the idea of Laurence wanting it to be cool but taking L as usual lol.
In any case, Beast Patient is sure whatever happened with Old Yharnam dwellers, over whatever they had to imbibe. I think the rare Scourge Beasts found in Old Yharnam were hunters (likely Charred Hunters) that turned into beasts upon getting a bit TOO invested in the hunt, hahah... Including this unique Scourge Beast with red eyes, the one and only in the game that can deal poison of this type:
Tumblr media
This is the only way I see why in the town infected by Ashen Blood (that becomes Beast Patients type) there are more 'normie' beasts. You could say they got..... burnt out at their job fdsjhfhsfhdfsd Not to mention an-okay number of Beast Patients, despite the town having been "cleansed", could simply imply that too much chaos happened, the Charred Hunters died, became beasts or ended up quitting like Djura and his allies did (many NPCs wearing Charred set are also currently in Loran and named 'Izzy's Follower' as NPCs). Basically, the quest only succeeded as much as it did, leaving enough Beast Patients to form sort of a "population". It is hard to tell whether Beast Patients can reproduce, though...
Tumblr media
Other beasts associated with Ailing Loran, the Silverbeasts, drop the stillborn/miscarried/whatever infants, but we can't confirm whether Beast Patients are cursed and ill in the same way? I think it'd be really cute if beasts of Old Yharnam could still reproduce, with their babies being beasts already, and maybe lifespan shortened because of the condition; again, would work really good with Val's idea of some Beast Patients just dying on their own, from old age and/or being sick.
_________
Thank you for the ask!

Now that I've finished the game, here's my definitive and objective list of Bloodborne bosses rated by attractiveness/bangability (most to least):
Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower - hhohoohoohhhooo!!! Too much woman for me, but I die trying!!! She lets me hit cause I'm silly!!!
Vicar Amelia - Cute! I'd paint her claws pretty colors
Father Gascoigne (beast form) ‐ I mean, of course!? He's a werewolf daddy
Mergo's Wet Nurse - she's a hardworking sweetheart, what's not to love? Everyone loves a woman with swords, and she has so many
Shadows of Yharnam - ghost gangbang?
Cleric Beast - in terms of Bloodborne, it's a little vanilla
Father Gascoigne - (human form) - kinda crusty
Gehrman, the First Hunter - REALLY crusty
Celestial Emissary - mushroom penis hehehe
Laurence the First Vicar - he shares my surname so I get some selfcest vibes. Not sure if that's good or bad. Also uuuuuuuugggh why were YOU the hardest boss???
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos - I hate the eyes, but love the potential use of all those tentacles
Amygdala - stompy and very Gender, but the arms need to stay ON during sex
Martyr Logarius - We get it dude, you're emo. Enough with the skulls. (I'd either kill him or sleep with him—anything to get Annalise's attention)
Darkbeast Paarl - I like that it was a little feeble, even with the electric shocks. We love a kinky sub. I don't like how dead it is, but at least there's no rot
Rom the Vacuous Spider - knowledge is sexy, but I'm still not into spiders that have no tits
Blood-Starved Beast - nobody likes the desperate, even if they're covered in blood
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare - the cage around his head means I'm not getting head (so what's the point). Also, COME HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN, BITCH BOY 0/10
Living Failures - I'm not convinced the flailing would do it for me
Witches of Hemwick - I couldn't get turned on because they kept summoning a crowd and I'm not an exhibitionist
Moon Presence - I love the moon, but this is a little too corpse-y for me
Ludwig the Accursed/Holy Blade - "49 times I fought that beast" and I've never been more turned on than when I finally slayed it. This is what Bloodborne is about—learning little by little, facing your nightmares and feeling the pulse in your palms as you make them flinch first. (Still wouldn't fuck him though)
The One Reborn - Corpses and birth imagery, all wrapped up in a putrid package
Orphan of Kos - a literal baby

People tend to enjoy my Souls takes and opinions, so here’s another list.
Bloodborne Boss List (Best to Worst)
Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower: This fight is incredible for many reasons. Lore significance, blood arts, the cutscene, the arena, but what really makes it good is the fact that even though it’s not the hardest fight in the game, I always enjoy it.
Orphan of Kos: This man is THE fight in Bloodborne. You know the one. This man woke up and chose violence (literally) and is going to smash your head in with it. We love him. Great fight and definitely one of the best ever.
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos: This fight makes me nervous whenever I walk in because how the fight goes is determined by what kind of mood she’s in. Either way it’s a fun fight, but I swear she bullies me sometimes.
Gehrmann, The First Hunter: Talk about a way to end the game. Great arena and he has such a cool vibe. The music when you fight him is also gorgeous so that helps.
Father Gascoigne: Dude is Bloodborne’s first real skill check. He is like Genichiro in Sekiro. He’s here to make sure you know what your in for and he’ll beat you with experience AND his fists.
Ludwig, the Accursed/Holy Blade: Dear Lord, this dude hurts. The only reason he’s not higher is because this dude’s hit boxes can be really aggravating sometimes. And when he hits like a freaking steam train, that can make a girl salty right quick.
Mergo’s Wet Nurse: Her design is fire and she is a scary fight. Not because she’s hard, but because one wrong move will put you on the wrong end of 8 scimitars slashing you to death.
Martyr Logarius: Logarius is the only fight in the main game that makes me really put on the tryhard pants. His zoning game frustrates my aggressive style and his projectiles hit harder than they should.
Vicar Amelia: She hits me when she really shouldn’t, but her design is cool, so I like her.
Darkbeast Paarl: Cakewalk. Truly me laying the smack down on an electric bone puppy.
Moon Presence: He looks SO cool, but as the last boss in the game, he definitely fell short for me because I practically abuse this thing every time I fight it.
Cleric Beast: Easy first boss, but he’s definitely not the worst and he’s kinda fun early game.
Laurence, the First Vicar: Cleric Beast but fire type. He has some new tricks and more health, but really nothing I hadn’t seen before.
Blood-Starved Beast: Kinda the average line in this list. Really nothing special, but the poison does create a bit of a nuisance.
Witches of Hemwick: Easiest boss in the game bar none, but I don’t actively hate them.
The One Reborn: Annoying. I take a lot of random damage in this fight and I’m not really a fan.
The Living Failures: A bunch of toddlers in a garden that can call down meteors. And they hit pretty hard. A nightmare for my ADHD.
Micolash: Haunted house meets projectile spammer. Not hard, just annoying. He’s also a smug, delusional asshole, so smacking him around is really a public service.
Celestial Emissary: Worst game of Whack-a-mole ever.
Shadows of Yharnam: Worst gangbang I’ve ever been a part of. Too much range and not a ton of cover. They hit hard and eventually giant snakes spawn unless you stop them. Endlessly frustrating and definitely not a fun gank fight.
Rom, The Vacuous Spider: The only spider I’ve ever not liked. Hoards of spiders that do too much damage, insane range, and lots of meteors. Lots of damage output for a creature that doesn’t do much. Frankly, it’s not him, it’s his entourage. The mini spiders make this fight an absolute drag and I despise dropping into his arena.
Amygdala: Bad boss design. Plain and simple. What makes him the worst is his lack of consistency. His arms and head are his ONLY weak spots, but they are rarely ever in reach long enough to hit for decent damage. You can break his arms, but even still, he attacks with those. He’s not hard in the base game, but in Chalice Dungeons is where you really see the flaws in this boss’s design.

Bloodborne levels & bosses ranked from shittiest to least:
BAD: the chalice dungeons. yes all of them.
(they’re just procedurally generated mazes with throwaway enemies thrown in as failed bosses)
The DLC
(“just run past everything idiot” is BAD level design, frenzied berserk several hit combo enemies are BAD enemy design, teleport grab one hit kill moves are BAD enemy design, and you’re high as fuck if you think orphan is reasonable)
Nightmare of Mensis & Micolash / Mergo
(mico sucks, and mergo’s wet nurse is very underwhelming)
Byrgenwerth & Rom the Dumbass Spider
(there’s one room & the boss is underwhelming as fuck)
Upper Cathedral Ward & Celestial Emmissary / Ebrietas
(there’s one room & the bosses are underwhelming as fuck)
Nightmare Frontier & Amygdala
(complicated confusing annoying bullshit with an instakill enemy at the end of the longest stretch of level in the entire game followed by an underwhelmingly easy boss? what?)
Forbidden Woods & Shadows of Yharnam
(uninspired mazelike same-y level design chock full of ganks by way too many badly designed spongey enemies followed by a boss more obnoxious and irritating than challenging)
NEUTRAL: Lecture Building & Iosefka’s Clinic
(equally meh, they’re square rooms full of nothing useful)
Forsaken Castle Cainhurst & Martyr Logarius
(beautiful level… with the worst fucking enemies you’ll ever hear, and a boss that can just oneshot you if you’re unlucky)
Old Yharnam & Blood Starved Beast
(the gatling gun is amusing… the first time. then it gets real annoying. especially with the stupid fucking broken hunter. fuck the church rafters. fuck the slums. the boss runback sucks. the boss itself is underwhelming. and! it’s still better than everything I’ve mentioned so far somehow)
Cathedral Ward & Vicar Amelia
(finally a level that’s actually pretty okay aside from the stupid fucking dark souls giants, TOO BAD IT’S WAY TOO FUCKING SHORT and sucks if you do it in the wrong order)
Hemwick Charnal Lane & The Witch(es)
(finally a level that’s actually pretty okay DURING THE DAY. but IT’S TOO BAD THE BOSS IS A FUCKING GIMMICK)
Central Yharnam & Cleric Beast / Father Gascoigne
(it’s kind of hard for fromsoft to fuck up the first level, the balance and tuning is a terrible tutorial but a pretty fun level, navigation is incredibly confusing and obtuse but it still makes the most geographical sense out of everything else in the game, plus both(!) bosses are solid if stupidly easy)
Yahar’gul & The One Reborn
(fuck this level… but in the best possible way. it’s totally a reasonable strategy to take it slow and steady, and it’s also satisfying to just say fuck it and sprint through everything. the boss is plot-relevant
BEST: Hypogean Gaol & Darkbeast Paarl
(wow the horror level is the best one that’s crazy)
OVERALL:
if you could insert everything about this game into better levels then I’d give it a 10 but for now? 9. an easy 9. not a bad rating by any means. but. if you want a 10 and you get a 9 it isn’t fun.

The blood of Bloodborne
So, while researching the blood splatters of this game (you know, the effect that happens when you hit an enemy), and found a lot of interesting tidbits and oddities... First off though, I must thank the theorist Rakuyo from Fextralife Wiki for most of the images here! Say what you will about their theories, but the screenshot job is just amazing! They did a lot to document many small details on their own, and it’s something I really respect regardless of the quality of their theories. Let’s start simple with a color we all know:
Tumblr media
Everyone bleeds red, even things we wouldn’t expect to do so. It’s by far the most diffused blood type. Even the walking corpses bleed red, heck, even the gods... you’d think creatures like the Winter Lanterns, the Gardens of Eyes and the Clocktower Patients would bleed something different, but nope! All red!
Of course, there’s another well-known type of blood...
Tumblr media
The next more prominent type is the grey serum, or silverwater, however you wanna call it. It’s specifically for kin enemies, but there are a few outliers, like the Crawler and the Gravekeeper Scorpion, Ebrietas also bleeds this when her lower body is attacked. Makes sense since she is a grown version of the small Celestial Children that litter Upper Cathedral Ward and Great Isz.

Here we have three types of unique “blood”: The first one is a special, dark green fluid only found on Rotted Corpses and Gel (the weird slime in the Chalice Dungeon). Not sure what it is, but it just looks super filthy and disgusting. The second one is not really blood, but the chunks that come out of the Darkbeasts and the Watchdog of the Old Lords. It would have been weird if they were bleeding from the bones, but the Watchdog is special, and we’ll see it in a bit too. The last type is unique to the Blood-Starved Beast. It makes sense, as it seems this beast is filled with poison, or at the very least it’s implied that’s the only thing it has left after cutting itself open. So far, nothing really out of the ordinary, right? Well, that may change...

A ghastly mist effect will happen when an incorporeal being or ghost is hit (which means the horses really are ghosts and not zombies or something). It also puts into question the nature of the Wandering Nightmare... just what is that little fellow?
As for the bottom effect, we see both the Watchdog and Laurence bleed lava if hit at a certain point in their fight. They are the only creatures who do this, as well as various small cinders when it’s not the lava effect that plays... I wonder how someone can fight something that bleeds molten rock on them. Seeing as the Watchdog exists in (supposedly) the real world too, I wonder if it means Laurence really was on fire when he turned, and it’s not just a symbolic nightmare punishment some people think it is.
But now, for some real oddities!
Tumblr media
As we can see, the people of the Fishing Hamlet (and though not pictured, their doggies too) bleed both a greenish substance and red blood. It’s very much not like the serum that the kin bleeds, and nowhere near murky as the filthy green blood was... But here things get weird, as the Living Failures bleed black of all things, and they are the only creatures in the game that do that. The Clocktower Patients bleed normal red, so this is pretty interesting... perhaps they are failures because they bleed black? It’s hard to notice because they don’t bleed much either...
Tumblr media
Here we have the weirdest small detail ever, but the Brainsuckers and the one Fluorescent Flower in Byrgenwerth all bleed this blue blood. Nothing else in the game bleeds this same substance, and these enemies usually bleed silverwater, so what’s up with that? There’s also a case to be made for the Celestial Emissaries specifically found in Iosefka’s Clinic. They might be bleeding the same blue, but they could also be bleeding the Living Failure’s black blood... whatever the case, it’s clear they are not bleeding the usual brownish grey. The Slime Scholars also bleed their own substance. It kinda looks like the blue blood, but it’s definitely darker and grayer, you can see the small comparison there. It’s certainly odd, but I did hear it proposed that they are made of mercury, which might explain the number of bullets they drop. Either way, it’s interesting to know, and the Slime Scholars are the only ones who bleed it.
Tumblr media
Rom, her children, and Master Willem all bleed... something grey, but it’s not the same type of silverwater. As we can see, it’s a bit paler, and filled with sparkling things or chunks. It’s more apparent with Willem, but you can still see it with Rom and the babies too. Strangely, her body bleeds red, and in the Chalice Dungeons, her head does as well. I am not sure about her children, but the fact it changes at all is very weird in itself...
Tumblr media
Gehrman and the Moon Presence may seem to bleed plain red blood at first, but in actuality, their blood is much lighter than the normal coloration. It’s very fitting, honestly. Could you say they have... pale blood, perhaps? Maybe so, ahahah. But I saved the strangest one for last.
Tumblr media
The Doll... she bleeds white. It’s unlike anything we have seen in the game, and she is the only one who bleeds it. It’s not silverwater, or blue blood, or the mercury slime... what is our friendly Doll really made of? I guess it’s one of those questions we’ll never find the answer to.
As a fun bonus, here’s some details:
Tumblr media
The blood change of Rom’s head in the dungeon isn’t the only blood change that happens. Amygdala starts bleeding serum down there as well, however, its head keeps bleeding a bit of red blood too, similarly to Ebrietas, who normally bleeds silverwater except on her head, where she bleeds both. It’s also worth noting that she cries red blood, so it might be that. Last thing is the Blood-Starved Beast. It already had a special blood effect that’s only used by it... and apparently, it ditches it for standard red blood in the Chalice Dungeons! This wouldn’t be such a big deal if its Hunter’s Nightmare version didn’t bleed a unique type of silvery blood that no one else uses in this freaking game, and for no apparent reason either! What the fuck From???
