I can't draw were-ravens very well, and the closest thing to what the schoolgrounds trio in my viking AU would look like is Shrowd from a game called Dauntless.

As Guardians of Yggdrasil, they can transform into this when near the tree of life. Usually the area around Yggdrasil is brightly lit, but a miasma from the tree itself shrouded the vicinity one day. This never ending fog caused the were-raven form to be covered in shadows, and it's much harder to retain one's sense of self as a result. Thankfully this miasma made it less likely for Yggdrasil to be in danger. The trio didn't need to go protect the tree as often, but a voice has been calling out to them every night since the darkness fell upon it.

picos real dad is the current reigning king of his kingdom, cass is some warlock or evil druid or something, nenes a blacksmiths apprentice and darnells studying up on alchemy

I don’t think I’ll be drawing them anytime soon (going to draw main game DD/MM wedding stuff first), so in my viking au, Darnell is a blacksmith, Nene is one of the hunters, and Pico is the only berserker class warrior in the village. Nene wields an axe and shield, Darnell uses a halberd, and Pico dual wields two hand axes. The ginger enters into an enraged state when he’s on the brink of death. He is unable to discern between friend and foe once this happens. He won’t stop fighting unless one of his lovers calms him down, and if they aren’t able to do so, they have no choice but to knock him out.

The trio have fought together as a team since they were kids. Taking advantage of their unique combat styles, they can quickly overwhelm their opponent. There’s no such thing as an one-on-one fight when they’re involved in battle. The only way to do so is through a duel, but you must have the approval of one of the jarls. The trio are the Guardians of Yggdrasil after all, and losing them meant disaster would soon follow.

If only the village knew losing them didn’t mean losing them to Death itself…
