Meet Brenda. This whole operation was her idea. She's lived in Apaloosa Plains her entire life. Thanks to her, this quiet small town doesn't know what's about to hit them.
Brenda knows her way around a computer and from a young age she made friends with other women online. They were very grateful to find each other having grown up in an internet era where many believed women didn't exist on the Internet.
Brenda's eye for detail and knack for computers in this sleepy town did not go unnoticed. Shortly after high school she worked as a clerk for the police department. Many years and video calls lamenting to her online gal pals later, she has earned her way up the ranks at the police station.
She's now a forensic scientist for the police office.
One day she saw a gruesome case of someone taken from the world far too young.
Brenda doesn't have local friends- well not anymore. All of her school buddies had to leave for better opportunities, or at least that's what they told Brenda. Brenda lost touch with them, but her online gal pals loyalty never waivered.
Looking over the crime scene photos of this young sim caused her to reflect and dig deep for what's important to her.
She discovered what's important to everyone I suppose. Community, family, partnership, friendship.
She had built a nest egg and a few of the gals had mentioned wanting to move but money was an obstacle.
It took 2 years to get the last detail squared away, but now 6 women (including Brenda) live in a custom home that Brenda commissioned construction for. It's a few walls and enough space so that no one pulls each other's hair out but it's no mansion by any means.
The 6 women along with 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 horse means it's quite a party!
Brenda knows how to work hard and party harder. Every animal and woman who was added to this list over the 2 year planning process was a welcome addition.
Here she's spotted biking to the storage unit to grab the books the other 5 women have collected in their lifetimes.
Brenda is enthused about what so many capable and amazing women working together under one roof will do.
One of the many motivations is Brenda's love for the planet and the awareness of damage done by seemingly mundane tasks.
So many women under one roof means fewer houses that hold just 1-2 sims.
Brenda could talk all day about the benefits of this arrangement. She knows challenges are to come, but for today she'll take the gals to celebrate and they will let it sink in that they're all here at the same time and they're here to stay.

What is Folding Bicycle? Is it best for convenient storage?
About
A folding bicycle, often referred to as a foldable bike or simply a foldie, is a type of bicycle designed to be compact and easily folded for convenient storage and transportation. These bikes are popular for their portability and versatility, making them particularly useful for urban commuters, travelers, and individuals with limited storage space.
Tumblr media
Designed to fold into an easily transportable package
Folding bikes (dawes bike hybrid) can be a top choice for commuters, city dwellers and everyone else short on space. They can be packed down small, so you can fit them onto the busiest of trains, under a desk or in cramped apartments.

Weight
Weight is a significant factor, along with easy of fold in selection.
Features
Key features of folding bicycles include:
Folding Mechanism: Folding e bikes have specialized hinges and mechanisms that allow them to be collapsed into a more compact form. The folding process typically involves folding the frame, handlebars, and pedals to reduce the overall size of the bike.

Adjustability: Many folding bikes have adjustable components, such as seat height and handlebar position, to accommodate riders of various sizes.
Variety of Designs: Folding bikes come in various designs, including city bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes. Each design offers different features and performance characteristics.
Weight: The weight of a folding bike can vary, but lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber are often used to minimize weight while maintaining strength.

Price Range: Folding bikes are available at a range of price points, from affordable options with basic features to more expensive models with advanced components.
Folding bikes have gained popularity due to their convenience, especially in urban areas where space is limited and commuting by car can be impractical or congested. It's a good idea to test ride different models and consider your specific needs before making a purchase.

5 Simple Tricks to Make Your Home Feel Bigger
Tumblr media
The list of tricks to make your home feel bigger goes on, and you can utilize many different methods. From making sure there isn't too much stuff to using space for storage, there are a few that work really well and are pretty easy to do. Here are five of the easiest techniques. Floor to Ceiling Fittings and Fixtures CC0 Licensed Image Courtesy of Pexels A small room, or a room that feels small, can be made to appear much larger by using the space's verticality as a feature. This works especially well when the room is actually short and is, fortunately, pretty easy to implement. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors, curtains and even accessories like plants add a vertical vastness to a room and can even help with a house valuation when looking to sell or rent your property. Installing things like larger doors and wall art will do the trick. Removing Too Much Clutter Clutter can be the enemy of a home and in more ways than one. Clutter detracts from the central theme of your decor and reduces the reflections in a room. Both of these make a room feel and look smaller. Additionally, clutter attracts dust, which further reduces reflections yet also makes your home more hazardous. Also, you cannot hope to invigorate the space of your home with interesting decor ideas such as Fung Shui by holding on to items in your living space. Visual Tricks to Make Your Home Feel Bigger Homes can feel smaller by their nature unless you actually live in a large house. Many of us probably have a home that is sufficient, yet one poll of 2,000 people in the UK found that 50% wish to move to a larger home. Fortunately, there are a few visual tricks you can use to your advantage. Mirrors are one of the best accessories because they bounce light around a room to make it appear bigger. Other reflective surfaces and brightly coloured paint will also do the job. Using More Space for Storage Like clutter, too much stuff in a room, even if it's helpful, makes it appear much smaller. And stuff that doesn't belong can really detract from the feeling of space. For example, the exercise bike in the corner of your bedroom does nothing for the overall aesthetic and takes up valuable space. And used-up space makes a room feel much smaller. Storing things away when you aren't using them is helpful. This is even more essential if you have a smaller space to work within a room. Using the Fifth Wall One of the most overlooked parts of a room is the ceiling, often referred to as the fifth wall. Yet the ceiling can give off an oppressive feeling. Fortunately, you can remedy this by painting the ceiling a bright colour. This helps sunlight bounce around the room and makes it visually appealing in terms of space. Although this can be helpful, it is also essential to remember to use a colour that contrasts with and complements the colours of the surrounding walls of the room. Summary Floor-to-ceiling items such as curtains can make your home feel bigger. Visual tricks like mirrors to bounce light can also help. And it will help to include the ceiling as part of your decor style. Read the full article

7 Tips for Organizing Your Home This New Year
1. Make a List
Before you start pulling things out of closets and cabinets, sit down and make a plan. You should think about how to organize your home methodologically.
If tackling an entire room is overwhelming, break it into smaller sections. You can organize your closet, dresser, and nightstand on separate days. Doing so will help you make a more specific plan and feel ready to conquer the smaller tasks.
2. Set Reasonable Deadlines
After you make a list of all the areas you need to declutter, set a deadline for each. Remember to provide yourself with sufficient time to finish. Doing so will make it more likely that you follow through and stick to your plan.
3. Spend Aside Some Time Each Day
After you have set your deadlines, get to work! Try working a little bit each day rather than a lot once a week. For example, 30 minutes a day adds up to 3.5 hours per week!
As you finish areas on your list, cross them off! You will indeed feel accomplished and proud as you complete the items on your list.
4. Separate Your Items into Boxes
As you organize, you will likely come across items that you no longer use. Instead of just throwing everything away, separate things into boxes. You may wish to designate one bin for each of the following purposes.
Sell
If your garage is full of perfectly good items that you no longer use, try selling them. You may find that you can get a pretty penny for that new bike or set of golf clubs that you never found time to use.
These days, there are plenty of websites that you can use to sell your unwanted items. Find a reputable one and start listing.
Donation
Do you have clothes that you no longer use or fit? Instead of letting them go to waste in your closet, donate them to someone in need. You can do the same with toys, games, books, or anything else that you no longer find a use for at home.
If you have trouble deciding what to keep and what to get rid of, think about how you feel when you use it. If it doesn’t make you happy, donate it. Hopefully, it will bring someone else joy.
Recycle
At times, we can neither sell nor donate items because of their condition. You can recycle books that are torn and tattered, electronic devices that are so old that they no longer function, and many other items. Recycling is a responsible alternative to throwing things away.
Trash
Your trash box or pile should contain only items you cannot recycle, donate, or sell. These may be expired and used objects such as medicine, food, or cosmetics.
5. Find a Place for Everything
Once you have fewer things taking up precious space, you can find a place for each item you have. Doing this may take some thinking and creativity. However, it is possible with the help of the following tips.
Use Vertical Space
If your home is small, you can take advantage of wall space by adding shelves. Vertical space prevents you from piling items on counters or inside your pantry. For those who live in tiny or mobile homes, these RV storage ideas offer some great ideas as well.
Get Drawer Dividers
For a few weeks, you can probably keep a drawer with miscellaneous items organized. However, after a while, those items start to get mixed up and jumbled around into a messy pile.
Drawer organizers can keep all your items separated according to their kind. They are perfect for kitchen utensils and office supplies.
Take Advantage of Your Space
Instead of using your closet floor to store your shoes, hang them on the back of the door. During the winter, you can keep your summer clothes in airtight, vacuum-sealed bags. Then, slide them under the bed or inside your large suitcases.
6. Be Consistent with Organizing Your Home
Clutter can creep up on you quickly. It is vital to make a conscious effort to stay organized. Set aside regular time in your weekly schedule to put away items and reorganize areas starting to get messy.
Each month, try to deep clean your home and toss the items that are expired or unused. Doing so will eliminate the need to reorganize the entire house in the future.
7. Less is More
From time to time, you will indeed purchase new items. Be sure to find a place for these items too. If you don’t have room, it is time to get rid of some of the things you no longer want or need.
You may wish to get rid of an item every time you buy something new. For example, if you want to purchase a new pair of pants, you should donate one pair you often don’t use. Gradually getting rid of older items will prevent your home from spilling over with clutter.

Few Easy And Creative DIY Carport Ideas
You may not think of your carport as a place to show off your creative side, but it's actually one of the best places for you to get crafty and make something that really shows off your style.
A carport can be a great addition to your home if you want extra space and protection from the elements, but these days you don't have to settle for anything less than something unique and beautiful. Here are some amazing quality diy carports ideas that will inspire you:
The A-Frame Carport
The A-frame carport is a great option if you have a small space and need to cover your vehicle. It can be built with wood, steel, aluminum or other materials and can have either a gable or shed roof. The A-frame carport has many uses such as a garage or workshop that would otherwise take up valuable yard space.
The basic design consists of four posts set in concrete at each corner of the building with braces connecting them together above ground level. You'll want to make sure they're sturdy enough so they don't bend under snow loads during winter months!
The Shed-Style Carport
A shed-style carport is an enclosed structure that protects your vehicle from the elements and provides some privacy. It can be built with a variety of materials, but one of the most popular choices is wood. The size and shape of your shed will depend on how much space you have available in your yard, as well as whether or not there are any obstacles nearby (such as trees).
The Gable Roof Carport
A gable roof carport is a simple and effective way to protect your vehicle from the elements. It's also a good choice for people who have limited space, as it can be built in a day or two.
The design consists of two parallel beams that run down the middle of the structure, with rafters connecting them at each end and forming an inverted V-shape (or "gable") when viewed from above. This shape allows rainwater to drain off each side of the roof, which keeps it from pooling up against walls or other surfaces where it might cause damage over time.
Tumblr media
Carport with Storage
The next step is to determine what you want to store. Do you have a lot of tools that need to be kept in a safe place? Or maybe a car or two? You may even want to use your carport as an outdoor storage area for bikes, boats and campers. If so, consider adding some sturdy shelving that can hold these items securely. A generator is another common item people store outside their homes--and it's important that they do so safely!
Carport with Green Roof
Green roofs are a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, save water and create a space for growing plants. They can also be used as an additional space for storage or even as a small garden.
The most popular type of green roof is the sedum mat which contains many different types of succulents that are hardy enough to withstand harsh winters. Sedum mats have been used in Europe since the 18th century and were brought over by immigrants from Germany where they were commonly found on barns and other buildings throughout Europe.
Conclusion
We hope you enjoyed learning about the different types of carport designs and its better if you leave it to professionals rather than doing DIY Carport. We know that they can be a great way to protect your vehicle from bad weather and even theft! If you have any questions or comments about this article, please feel free to leave them below. Thanks for reading!

“New-to-the-world” products represent substantial improvements over the ones that are currently available. Thus, it is often difficult to benchmark their potential for success and challenging to predict consumer acceptance. Assumptions and predictions used for forecasting often underestimate customer adoption and product diffusion.
The article entitled “four products: predicting diffusion (2008)” describes four products that, at the time, were “new-to-the-world.” They included sliced peanut butter, a collapsible bicycle wheel, wooden jigsaw puzzles, and Polytrack (synthetic sand for horse race tracks).
Food engineers created a slice of peanut butter that could be wrapped in plastic, stored, and removed cleanly to prepare the sandwich. Although it did address the pain points of spreading peanut butter (i.e., the breaking of bread and the sticky mess), people generally don't associate peanut butter with semi-solid slices of cheese. They probably wouldn't find this new form appetizing or safe for their kids to eat either. One would think that market research would have steered these food engineers away from this idea.
The collapsible bicycle wheel seems like it would benefit bike owners who lack storage space or live in small apartments. But would these people pay a hefty premium for the carbon fiber wheel? Moreover, since the frame of the bike takes up the most space, a collapsing wheel would not be that useful or perceived to be safe, for that matter.
Wooden jigsaw puzzles sold at a high price seem like decent novelty items for gifts. They last forever and look decorative. But how many people enjoy puzzles or would pay a premium for it? Only market research can tell.
The last on the list, Polytrack, actually sounds like a winner. Here is an item that can endure weather conditions, reduce the impact on horses’ legs, and increase the number of days that races can be run. The only problem with the adoption and diffusion of this product is the conservative nature of the horse racing business. Still, after a few race tracks start adopting it and touting Polytrack’s benefits, it’s only a matter of time before all tracks are on board.
This case reminded me of a “game-changing” technology we tried to adopt at our hospital several years ago, IBM Watson for Oncology. It promised to be the ultimate clinician’s assistant by using AI to “read” the most up-to-date medical journals to make cancer diagnosis faster with better accuracy and with safer treatment recommendations. In the end, however, its abilities never surpassed the level of a first-year resident, and the tool was cumbersome requiring manual input of much of the patient's data. Thus, cancer specialists didn’t find it useful other than for research purposes. A few years later, due to poor adoption, IBM scrapped the project. Maybe, now in the age of AI, it could make a comeback.

Methods for Making a Small Apartment Feel Much Larger
Tumblr media
The way people live these days is changing dramatically. The housing industry is much different now than it was even a year ago. Suddenly, having more space is more important than ever, especially in a small apartment.
We have been spending much more time indoors than ever before. In fact, there has been a big push to move to the country to a bigger house now that people are working remotely. However, not everyone wants to move or even can afford to. For those spending more time in their apartment, it is important to try to make more room rather than move.
For those that want to stay put, or are looking for NYC condos for sale, this article will help with ideas on how to make a small apartment feel bigger.
1 – Declutter
Not only does clutter make a small space feel even smaller, but it can also lead to stress and anxiety if it is not dealt with. Coming home to a messy house can make you feel overwhelmed and even a bit claustrophobic.
The first thing you should do is find a way to organize things so you can put everything away. Then, have a system so that it doesn’t keep occurring. If you organize yourself well, then you will always put things where they belong instead of looking for a place to hide stuff.
If you really have trouble finding places to store your things, then you may even want to look into a storage facility to put the stuff that isn’t in use.
2 – Think outside the box
There is no set template for how you organize your apartment. Instead of trying to make it look like the condos, you add more in the magazines, try doing something different. For example, a couch takes up a lot of space, but a hammock is just as comfortable and takes up very little. Maybe you can substitute your couch for one.
A loft bed will also free up a ton of space in your bedroom to put a desk or even a chair to relax in as a reading nook. The more space you can free up on the floor means more room to organize your things.
3 – Use the walls
Once again, the idea is to free up space on the floor. You can use your walls not just for hanging pictures but also as a place to store things. You can also use shelves as a place to put things that ordinarily would be put in a closet.
Use your walls to hang up a bike for instance instead of parking it in the hallway. You can also make a folding table hanging from the wall that folds back up when not in use.
Plants can be hung from the wall, or help them get more sunlight by putting them closer to a window.
4 – Let the light in
You can create the illusion of more space so you don’t feel claustrophobic. Let in as much light from the outside as possible and you will suddenly feel like there is more space than there actually is. It will also put you in a better mood to have more natural light.

What is self-storage?
Self-storage, which means individual storage. People get tired of cluttering balconies, garages, apartments, and dachas with unnecessary but dear to the heart, and here they come to the aid of individual or small storage warehouses.
The premises for individual storage is usually a room with a separate entrance, access to which has only the client's self-storage.
In such warehouses, most often accumulated things that one feels sorry to throw away, furniture, seasonal clothing, and organized storage of tires are stored. This is a relatively new phenomenon in Europe, but it has recently gained some popularity among small and medium-sized businesses and individuals. However, this type of storage in Dubai is very popular, and the best representative of such storage is dubai storage.
The idea originated in the U.S. in the 50s, and at the moment, this storage method is the most popular in America. The business has thousands of warehouses and brings billions of dollars of income. Europe has appreciated the American idea, and self-storage has developed in France, Germany, Italy, Britain, and many other countries. There are also representatives of this direction. First, the American company is the leader in this area and works all over Europe, and some only in France.
Tumblr media
According to statistics, for every U.S. resident, including infants and Indians, there is 0.7 sq. m. for storage of their belongings. Annual industry turnover is about $22 billion. The total area of self-storage facilities in the U.S. - is more than 210 million square meters. m and the growth of this market in 2010 was 4-5%. A characteristic feature of the demand is that service members lease 4% of all self-storage facilities. In Europe, self-security started developing in the late 1980s - early 1990s. In 10 years, the turnover of this industry reached about 4 billion euros, with 5000 warehouses all over Europe. Self-storage complexes operate in Italy, Great Britain, Germany, and France. There are over 650 such warehouses in Great Britain, 170 in France, and 100 in Holland. The growth of the self-storage market in Europe is 5-7% per year. Remote storage facilities are widespread in Australia as well.
The functioning of warehouses of this format in the world turned out to be in demand much earlier.
Such a warehouse, in most cases, is insured and provided with a centralized security system. In this case, each owner has an electronic key or access code to the box, the area of which can range from 3 square meters to 30 square meters and, if necessary, more. This service is in demand not only by private individuals but also by legal entities. Tens of thousands of companies have problems where to put their paper files and furniture when moving; some things are constantly being released that clutter the living space. Some logistics companies provide, as ancillary, storage services, packaged stuff in a shared warehouse, and offer seasonal storage of bicycles and car tires. They also stock furniture, fishing rods, bikes, tires, and more.
