WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DRINK A VAMPIRE'S BLOOD?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
" now, why are you wondering about drinking vampire's blood, carissima? do you have a secret lover, or are you just curious? " warm brown darkens as lips curve into a teasing smirk. cyrillo's closer than before, and you swear you can feel heat emanating from him despite knowing vampires are cold to the touch. he leans away as soft laughter escapes him. " don't worry, i am only poking fun. there are many rumors surrounding my kind, so i understand you might have questions. "
" drinking a vampire's blood will do nothing to you but create a connection between you and the vampire you drank from. our blood is magical to some extent, after all. ah, you look confused -- by connection, i mean you'll feel what they feel, and they'll feel what you feel. it can be rather... intense, to say the least. " cyrillo grins. you wonder if he might be implying something.
but it can't turn you into a vampire?
the mage hums. " well, not right away. "
what do you mean by that?
" exactly what i said, carissima. " cyrillo's tone remains light, yet his gaze is heavier as you meet his eyes. " drinking a little here and there won't turn you into a vampire, but drink enough, and it's possible. ' enough ' is quite a lot, really, if you want to be sure the change will happen. as i said, our blood is magical, and if you want that magic to take, you need a lot of it before you die. "
before i die?
he smiles. it lacks its playful tilt from before. " we are undead, remember? corpses brought back to life, lost souls returned to their flesh. " a small pause. " despite my own experience, i understand why some choose this life, but i hope it is a choice that is never made lightly. "

Am I back?
Kind of. I’m thinking more and more of this lil guy but I have some thoughts and would like some in return.
When I started this blog in 2016 I was really excited to finally have a muse that was a combination of two things I really like and hyperfixate on. Plus drawing him is still a v big comfort for my anxiety during the rough parts of my young adult life. Not sure if I can fully open up but there was one part where I really was in a dark place for a bit. A long bit.  I really loved the character I was developing and creating as a guy who’s just trying his best in the situation he was given with a cutesy aesthetic that had tf2′s dark/whacky edge. Or at least that’s how I felt about it (though it’s totes possible that wasn’t conveyed that well asdf)  However as time passed a few problems came up not just in my personal life but also somethings with the blog that I wasn’t really satisfied with anymore. For one I noticed a trend of drawing the same thing constantly and Patches started to flanderaize a little bit. Had this whole story and events planned with hints I’ve dropped into the asks but well- I never got to it. :(
Second and more disturbing trend was people becoming actually *obsessed* with Patches. Note that i’m not saying all fans of this blog were weirdos- I really like most of ya’ll I swear. But when people started to dm me pretending I was patches, getting a ton of asks from the same people saying how cute he was to the point of infantilizing, having a vore fanfiction written with him without my consent and by golly I got so many bad vibes that I just slowly walked away from the blog. It also didn’t help that fellow ask blogs have basically nearly disappeared and tumblr literally nuking itself with the big ban.  It’s just been hard to conjure inspiration but, oh man when I draw Patches sometimes it makes me miss coming home in the late evening to come up with gags, do fun stuff with asks, roleplay with my friends, and just being involved with a community.
With covid i’ve been busy working my butt off in my day job and getting ready to graduate college while writing my book and making a video and doing my art profilio and asdjkfhskhfkhKJHFJKHEF- Yeah. Alot.  So with my vomiting my thoughts on a tumblr post- Should I try on this blog again and give it another shot? Was thinking either cont. where it was left off or rebooting. Or both. I’ll see.
Final thing; I think the thing that made me write this and consider having a come back was people telling me how they were inspired by my work and STILL reblog/like my content here because it’s something that makes them happy. It’s honestly made me cry because that’s kind of the thing that drives me in life you know? Idk. Nonetheless, thank you all for supporting me all these years and being a pleasure to rp with and filling my inbox. It really pulled me through a very uncertain time in my life. Honestly. Thank you. <3 Now I that I think about it I think we need a tiny medical professional to fight COVID19 stress and fears right about now. rip

Writing Tag Meme
Thank you @sunshine-captain and @karikes for tagging me!!! <333
1) How many works in progress do you have?
Only one big one. I have a lot of small ideas, but they’re just ghosting around for now. I have a bad habit of hyperfixating on one thing (often for months at a time, ugh) and not being able to work on anything else.
2) Do you/would you write fanfiction?
Haha, yep! I actually didn’t start writing fanfic until this year, but it’s the only thing my very fickle brain is interested in right now.
3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
Usually paper books. Sometimes I get anxious about reading or starting a new book so I switch up the format and that seems to help with anxiety for some reason? So honestly, both are great!
4) When did you start writing?
Some time in elementary school? I honestly don’t remember. But I do remember the first time I actually shared my writing with someone, which was in middle school for a scary story contest. It was about vampires; it was good; I think I cried when they read it over the morning announcements.
5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
I usually have my sister @ghoztz take a look at my stuff, but only when it’s in its final draft. (She’s a little bit useless, though. All she does is look for typos and leave reactions like “Wow, that’s gay.” (I love you, Liz.))
6) Where is your favorite place to write?
My room, usually. Although I’ve found that changing location sometimes helps with writing anxiety, so I should probably switch it up more.
7) Favorite childhood book?
I think I had a Pony Pals phase, an American Girl phase, and a Warriors phase. I was a very basic little girl alfj;asdf.
8) Writing for fun or publication?
Fun!
9) Pen and paper or computer?
Computer for creative writing. Although I did use pen and paper a lot in college because it helped with writing anxiety. I wrote the bulk of my senior thesis on a notepad and had to pull a few all-nighters to get the entire thing transcribed alkjf;lasjdf.
10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
My focus in film school was on film studies, so I unfortunately only took one screenwriting class, and that’s the extent of my training in creative writing. (If I were to do film school over again....I’d maybe focus on screenwriting instead? I’m not sure; Hollywood is a deeply crappy town.)
11) What inspires you to write?
Art maybe? Both of my sisters are artists, and I’ve spent hours in museums, and it’s really important to me that I can visualize a scene before I write it. That probably also comes in part from film school. So really anything that’s visually engaging: art, nature, movies, etc.
I feel like everyone has already done this, but in case you haven’t, just go ahead and say I tagged you!!! <3
