Vix Ternion: nonbinary tiefling storm sorcerer (they/them) falling in love with Shadowheart

Thanks to encouragement from my dear @poetikat and @mxkelsifer, I'm slowly fleshing out Vix's backstory. Vix is the only child of three parents who settled down together after going on many adventures of their own, choosing the surname "Ternion" because it means a set or group of three:

[Juniper] transgender gnome rogue (she/her) skilled with potions and sleight of hand; she taught Vix everything they know about lockpicking and trap disarming and general sneakiness (talents that have come in surprisingly handy in Vix's travels)

[Sienna] cis tiefling sorcerer (she/her) who passed on her love of the study of magic to Vix despite being naturally talented in wielding magic (books! books! books! good thing Juniper could make a living for them by selling potions...)

[Allyn] genderfluid half-elf druid (they/them) ensured Vix knew basic survival skills and how to use a quarterstaff to defend themself; Allyn was often away to travel the wilderness but always returned with ample ingredients for Juniper's potion business and spoiled everyone rotten when they were at home

(You know the merchants often encountered in TTRPGs? Juniper would be one of them. With little Vix sometimes hanging around to observe. And occasionally help. Er, "help.")

Vix has heterochromia because they went a bit too far with storm magic and it went out of control, an incident that prompted them to leave home in search of more knowledge because none of their parents could help at that point. Years into that solo journey, they were visiting a town to pick up supplies when the Nautiloid grabbed them, and the rest is histor-- er, BG3.

Vix grew up listening to their parents' stories of (mis)adventures, so they tend to roll (no pun intended) with the chaos they encounter on their travels. Even a tadpole in their brain. A vampire companion who's allowed to occasionally drink from them. A best-friend-material tiefling with a machine for a heart (Vix is fire resistant! They will hug Karlach!). An irresistible half-elf without her memories. A wizard who loves magic as much as Vix does (even if he's a bit dismissive of Vix's magical knowledge). A refreshingly direct githyanki. A pure-hearted warlock whose patron needs to get kicked to the curb. And a druid who gives Vix homesickness in the best way because he reminds them of one of their parents.

(I'm still in Act 1 pre-Underdark, so there's far more to come in Vix's journey. But I'm thrilled to continue to get to know them better.)
