Who has the best wine list, by the bottle and glass, in town? Has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the second year in a row? Which same restaurant is open mid-week - and you don’t need a reservation? You know my favorites by now so you may already know that I’m talking about Newhall Press Room, on Main Street in Newhall, where you can dine on the patio and the new extended patio! We snagged what may have been their last bottle of a 2016 Pride Mountain Chardonnay! This wine had spent some time in new French oak and was rated 93 points by Jeb Dunnuck, who called it “another terrific white from this estate.” We paired it with a “make your own” cheese and charcuterie board that always comes with seasoned nuts, olives, dried and fresh fruit and buttery crostini.
