Zarro AU, another canon AU that I’ve decided to yoink and run with lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are some designs!! Firstly, Animo (who this AU centers around actually). His expertise in many human medical and scientific fields, plus his personal drive to fix whats going on make him somehow the most capable survivor to handle this.
His son, James (I’ll post his backstory later. It’s even more in-depth than this and also from my main 10k AU) is also a survivor. He usually sticks close to Shar, who arrived to help once she found out her brother succumbed to the sickness. Much to her parents dismay, she refuses to leave until they can find a cure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scout also heard about what happened. Upon learning that Viktor and his troublemakers were the ones to craft the sickness, Scout brought a few Anur scientists to help find a cure. (This is also how i found out via a server friend that Jeffery Combs has a voice cameo as one of Viktor’s lackies 😂😭)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ben Prime got zoomped to this universe at some point and got the rundown from Animo. Hes been keep the survivors at the Plumber base, and all the important infected that he can find are held in the Plumber base prison cells. This includes his wife (who will also be elaborated on in the James post)
The only important one he keeps out is Zarro. When Bad Ben came to collect him for the Benwars, it nearly got all the survivors killed. So now Animo keeps Zarro on a literal short leash.
Tumblr media
Also when he’s not busy he will sometimes just go down to his old cell (where his wife is being kept) and just drink. And talk to her. He is right on the brink of total insanity.
The only things keeping him going are his son’s safety and the CHANCE he can cure Rina.
He knows at this point it is likely hopeless. There is no cure. They’re DEAD. But he’ll keep trying until it kills him. He has to.

Quote
A believer who gets out of bed in the morning thinking My Lord Jesus could return today will probably not let sin take root in his life. But Christians who rarely, if ever, reflect on the realities of the future life, the Lord's coming and the judgement seat of Christ are far more vulnerable to temptation and sin. And perhaps that explains something of the sin and apathy seen in much of the church today.

Our Blessed Hope Part 2: The Pre-tribulationist Position
In part one of this series of posts, I tried to briefly explain from Daniel 9:27 and some of the descriptors of Revelation 6 that during the seven year Tribulation period, God is doing two unique purposes, restoring national Israel and judging the wicked world system. In this post, I will try to demonstrate the arguments for the rapture taking place before this period.
Christians who believe in a pretribulational rapture find great hope in this definition of the Tribulation because the Church is not identified as a recipient of this phase in God’s plan. The Church already has redemption in Christ and therefore is not guilty of rejecting him. The Church was not even in existence when these prophecies of the Tribulation were first given and is not mentioned directly in the book of Revelation; we were a mystery (Eph 3:6), and as such we received different promises which give us hope in looking toward Christ and his coming, rather than fear and dread. Careful study of Scripture shows us that only when these promises are fulfilled will God’s time of judgment begin.
Different Prophetic Programs
Those who believe that Christ will return to collect his Church before the Tribulation recognize that, in these and other discourses in Scripture regarding the Tribulation, the Church, the body of believers God is assembling in this age, is nowhere directly mentioned. Instead, the promises are made to Israel who God consistently sees as being distinct from the Church. Certainly, God could fulfill his purposes for both groups at the same time, but as Benware notes, certain texts demonstrate that this is not God’s intention. Paul writes in Romans 11:25–27,
Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.  And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”
The majority of the Jewish people have hardened hearts toward the gospel. They were broken off from God’s grace so that Gentiles could be grafted in and receive his blessings (v 17). Only when God has completed his purposes for the Gentiles will he begin the work of saving Israel and fulfilling his covenant to them as he promised in Daniel 9:27.
Imminence of Christ’s Return
This promise in Romans 11 is only one of several verses in the New Testament that seem to indicate that the fulfillment of the Church Age is the next item on God’s prophetic timetable. This doctrine, known as the doctrine of imminence, is defined by one author as the teaching that “as of this present moment, [the rapture] could happen at any time because based on what God has revealed to us about His Word up to this point, we currently don't see any prophesied event in Scripture that absolutely must happen first.”[1] Repeatedly, believers are commanded in Scripture to wait and watch, not for a sign or a treaty or a political leader, but for the Lord’s return. For example, Paul encourages the Church in Philippi with the hope of the rapture, stating in Philippians 3:20–21, “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Paul included himself in this exhortation to wait for the Lord to transform our bodies, demonstrating that he expected to experience this miraculous event in his own lifetime.[2]
This is seen again in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 when Paul proclaims “Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” Paul speaks as if he believes that he would still be alive when Christ returns for his church, as if Christ could catch us up to meet him in the air at any time. Furthermore, Paul commands the Thessalonians to encourage each other with these words (v 18). If the judgments of the Tribulation must occur before the rapture, this doctrine is hardly a word of encouragement since Revelation informs us that the majority of believers will be persecuted and martyred (Rev 6:9–11; 7:9–14). If any of these events did need to occur before the appearing of Christ, certainly would have informed the Church of this so we could watch for it and know when Christ was about to return. Instead we are told only to wait for the blessed hope of Christ’s glorious appearing (Titus 2:12).[3]
Waiting for the Bridegroom
One other place we see this concept of imminence in a rather unique way is a statement from Jesus himself in John 14:2– 3, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” Contrary to the posttribulationist claim that Christ will catch us up only to bring us back down to earth again where he will set up his earthly reign, Jesus here explains that the place he is preparing for us is in heaven with the Father, so in order to experience the blessings of that place, Christ must return and take his Church there to be with him.
Beyond this, certain commentators have noticed a connection between Jesus’ words here and a running theme in Scripture that describes his relationship to his Church, namely that we are called “the bride of Christ” (2 Cor 11:2). This is a worthy comparison, especially in light of the Jewish wedding traditions during the time of Christ. In those days, a Jewish man would travel from his father’s house to that of his potential bride’s and offer a significant dowry to marry her. Upon the acceptance of the man’s offer, the two of them would become legally betrothed but separated for a time as the groom returned to his father’s house to build a home in which he and the bride would live. When the father decided everything had been adequately prepared, he would send the son back to the bride, heralded by a trumpet blast to announce his arrival, at which point the groom would take the bride back to their new home where they would enter their wedding chamber for seven days. After the seven days, there would be a great feast to celebrate their union.[4]
In the same way, Christ came from the Father’s home in heaven and dwelt among us on earth (John 1:2,14), paid the price for his bride by shedding his blood for us (Rev 5:9), united us with him through that sacrifice (Eph 2:13), is currently building a place for us in his Father’s house (John 14:2–3), will return for his bride with the sound of a trumpet (1 Cor 15:52), and after a period of seven years will celebrate the wedding feast in which all the faithful left on the earth will be invited (Rev 19:9). Of special interest is the fact that only the son’s father could decide the right time to fetch the bride, just as only God the Father knows the hour in which He will send the Son of Man (Matt 24:26). The role of the bride is not to look for a sign or look forward to some other event, but to wait eagerly and expectantly for her groom’s arrival. In the same way, we should not be setting our eyes on a date, or a sign, or political movement, but setting all our hope in the day Christ comes for His Church.[5]

Those of you who live in or around the Greater Portland area, you’ve no doubt heard of Ecliptic Brewing Company and Ruse Brewing. Founded by one of the most prolific brewers, John Harris opened Ecliptic Brewing Company with an eye to the stars. Across town, two upstart brewers, Shaun Kalis and Devin Benware, started their own brewery in Ruse Brewing. Noted brewers in their own right, the trio recently developed and released an Italian-style Pilsner.
“We’re excited to play with a new style that we’ve never made before and also offer a lager in cans,” says Ecliptic Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. “We’ve been friends with the Ruse crew for a long time. Sean and I have played music together for years, and Ruse has always been a part of our summer Brewer’s and Their Bands event. It’s about time we made a beer together!”
To brew this beer, inspired by the classic Italian Pilsner, the brewers used Weyerman Extra Pale Pils malt and German hops (including Polaris, Saphir, and Hallertau Blanc). Aged with German lager yeast, this beer has been described as having a “crisp, clean finish and fresh hop aroma”. At 5.3% ABV (alcohol by volume) and around 35 IBU (international bittering units), consider this as your next yard work or backyard barbecue beer.
Available this month, Ecliptic’s Cosmic Collaboration - Italian-style Pilsner, will be ready to consume in draft and 16-ounce cans. Also, this marks the first of many Cosmic Collaborations, planned throughout 2020. Those interested in supporting social distancing, and celebrate the release can attend the Zoom release party on May 14th from 5pm - 6:30 PM, hosted by John Harris and Shaun Kalis.

Why should you read the bible?
Tumblr media
The answer is simple and yet profound. You should read the Bible to know the heart and mind of God. Our Creator. The Maker of heaven and earth. Imagine going on a hike. Looking at all the trees. Landscape. The sky. The sunset, or sunrise. Hearing nature bustling around you. The breeze. Lakes. Rivers. Even the little bugs and creatures and crawling things. The first chapter in the book of John says, “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. God wants us to know Him. He wants us to seek Him. He wants us to know what has been, and what is to come. Those who say, we know something is out there, but there is no way we can know Him, all I can say is 🙄. From the Bible, we can know our Creator’s heart and mind, as well as have many of our questions answered. So let me show you some easy ways to start reading and studying the Bible.
#1. Invest in a pair of wireless ear buds! You can listen to the Bible while working around the house. I clean, prepare meals, do laundry, and even listen to the Bible while eating. You can always fit in time to listen to the Bible. I like to make sure I listen to at least three chapters a day. Set your own routine. Listen and be blessed with the knowledge and wisdom God shows you!
#2. Where to start? I suggest starting with the books of John, Acts, and Romans. These three books all follow each other and will show you who Jesus is, how the body of Christ came together under great persecution, and the consequences of sin and how to obtain eternal life through the one and only savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our Lord.
After you have done this, you can read or listen to the whole New Testament first, and then front to back with both the Old Testament and New Testament.
#3. Old and New Testament surveys! This is an absolutely MUST! And one that I had to come across myself. No one ever told me what an important step to understanding the Bible this is. I will have the link to my favorite Old and New Testament Survey below to purchase them if you’d like. These two important resources explains and clarifies what the Bible is saying to us. Because we live in a different time frame and our customs, cultures, traditions, and languages are so different, we have to learn these things to understand God’s Word to us. This particular set of surveys is my favorite because of the simplicity skills of the author. The author inserted charts so we can visually and categorically understand what we are studying. He brings everything together in a quick easy format. Old and New Testament surveys can be very pricey but this set I got for about 20 dollars. A must have!!!
#4. A great study Bible. What exactly is a study Bible? A study Bible is a Bible with extra notes, illustrations, charts, maps etc. This makes it a lot easier to learn more about the subject in which you are studying. Below I will have some links to some great study bibles I have purchased.
#5. Apologetics! Apologetics is a study within scripture to answer the hardest questions. The Bible can be difficult to interpret or seems contradictory at times. Apologetics helps to clarify and understand what may have been lost in translations or culture. There are many great apologists out there. I currently tune in to Mike Winger’s YouTube channel for great insight into Scripture. Mike is very humble and holds great credibility with his teachings. Check him out!
#6. Ask God! Of all these important steps I showed you on how to know and study the Bible, this is the most crucial. Ask God to show you that He is real. Ask Him for His wisdom. For His Holy Spirit to guide you where He wants you to go. And He will. We can do nothing without Him. In the 1st chapter of James it says, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
These 6 steps are not the only ways to study the Bible. I will explain some more advanced steps in my next article. I pray this helps to ignite a hunger in you to know God and to seek Him with all your heart. I love you all.
Faithfully His,
Heather Hoffman

The one-world religion described in Revelation 17:1–18 as “the great harlot” will be part of the end-times scenario. The term harlot is used throughout the Old Testament as a metaphor for false religion. The actual identity and makeup of the religion has been debated for centuries and has resulted in a number of different views among Bible commentators and theologians. There are convincing arguments for the one world religion being Catholicism, Islam, the New Age movement, or some form of religion not even invented yet, and an internet search will produce many more possibilities and theories. There is no doubt that some sort of one-world religion under the false prophet will be a part of the end times, perhaps made up of a number of different religions, sects, and isms that are around today.
Revelation 17:1–18 gives us several characteristics of the one-world religion. The false religion will dominate all the “peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues” of the earth (Revelation 1b, 15), meaning that it will have universal authority, no doubt given by the Antichrist, who rules the world at that time. Verses 2–3 describe the harlot as committing adultery with the “kings of the earth,” referring to the false religion’s influence among the world’s rulers and influential people. The reference to being drunk with the wine of her adulteries may refer to those who are drunk with the power they receive from worshiping the false god of the false religion. Satan frequently ensnares those whose lust for power drives them away from the worship of the true and living God. The alliances forged by the false religion will unite church and state as never before.
Verse 6 describes the harlot as being “drunk with the blood of the saints” and the blood of those who testify of Jesus. Whether they will be martyred at the hand of the Antichrist or by being systematically starved, believers who are on the earth during the tribulation will experience the wrath of the harlot and her power source, the Antichrist. Those who oppose the worldwide religion will be killed, and those who refuse to worship the Antichrist by accepting his mark will be unable to buy and sell, thereby making survival very difficult (Revelation 13:16–17).
Eventually, the harlot will lose favor with the Antichrist, who will want to receive the world’s worship for himself. He will not share the adoration of the world with the prophets and priests of the false religion, no matter how obsequious or fawning they may be. Once the Antichrist gains the world’s amazed attention by his miraculous return from the dead (Revelation 13:3, 12, 14), he will turn on the false religious system and destroy it, establishing himself as God. The deception, Jesus tells us, will be so great that, if it were possible, even the elect would fall for it (Matthew 24:24).
