I need a fic
where the chosen children go on a road trip and this is how this would go:
They would go on three cars (4 per car).
Sora, Yamato, Takeru and Hikari would take the first one. This is the chill car where evertone gets along very well, they listen to music, Sora, Takeru and Hikari have nice short conversations (occasionally Yamato may join), they drink mate (what), Takeru is extremely annoying but Sora laughs and Hikari approves, etc. etc. etc. I would be in this car.
Then we have Jyou, Taichi, Daisuke and Miyako. Jyou drives because it’s his car and he would NEVER allow Taichi but NEVER. Miyako and Daisuke don’t drive. Daisuke never learns. Jyou believes that the best speed is like 30 km/h below the speed. So. Taichi is very annoyed. Daisuke keeps complaining about Hikari being in the same car as Takeru. Taichi would laugh, but he’s so annoyed. Miyako defends her friend’s DECISION OF GOING WHEREVER SHE WANTS TO go and is very annoyed at Daisuke and at the same time longingly looks at Mimi’s car in her imagination because she is 30km behind where she is riding to happiness with Ken.
We then have Mimi who drives BUT SHE LEARNT ON THE STATES so everything is different in Japan and Koushirou wants to read and not be annoyed BUT THIS WOMAN IS DANger and obviously Ken doesn’t help he’s so shy he’s thinking about Miyako and then Iori wants to help but he’s so serious that Mimi can’t stop laughing and screamING HOW CUTE he is omg Koushirou WILL DIE here. It’s Ken parent’s car btw.
Then we make the first stop.
Taichi and Koushirou RUN to Sora and Yamato and DEMAND to be included in their car and OBVIOUSLY Yamato takes the opprotunity to say NO and Hikari agrees and Takeru is catching butterflies or whatever he does when he’s not annoying people and Sora is buying food and drinks for everyone and that’s lucky for Yamato because otherwise she would put Taichi and Koushirou in their car and she herself would change and that would be the worst.
Taichi just can’t believe that neither SORA nor HIKARI HIS OWN SISTER would want to travel with him and he’s annoyed for the rest of his life like for half and hour.
Koushirou offers to PAY YAMATO but he just won’t, he’s incorruptible (a 100%).
Sora finds out and obviously wants to PUT TAICHI AND KOUSHIROU in her car and go to another one but Hikari is magically extremely convincing and she doesn’t go. The four of them stay together.
Jyou has noticed how fast Mimi drives and is very anxious about her and about her health and their lives basically and Koushirou understands so he sweet talks her into driving with Jyou, because he needs to go with Taichi still and he would like to give the car to her when he’s tired Koushirou where did you learn this so she happily agrees and return Ken his keys and guess he also has to drive now.
So Ken happily welcomes Miyako into his car and so Daisuke and Iori will come too but then Daisuke is STILL without Hikari so that’s not good and he still is in a bad mood but now Miyako is with Ken so she doesn’t care she still screams at him and Iori just sighs and wonders what Koushirou and Jyou are doing.
Obviously Jyou’s car is still behind, Mimi is singing and offering everyone weird sweets and Taichi will most surely be sich and Koushirou is ASKING HIMSELF when did he become so dumb WHY DID HE ORGANIZED THIS and he decides to do something bad to Yamato when he has the chance it was a 100% Hikari’s fault but no one would ever believe so
And then Mimi goes: “how weird it is to be in the same car with the boy I liked as a child, the boy that everyone thinks I like and the boy that I actually like” and that’s it she DOESN’T explain WHO EACH BOY IS and this is a math thing that Koushirou just CAN’T SOLVE and Jyou may crash the car and Taichi just opens his mouth and HE CAN’T JUST CAN’T DO ANYTHING and suddenly everyone is quiet (their brains are going mad) and Mimi picks up her book (Alice in Wonderland) and smiles at herself she knows she’s the brain of the group, well maybe after Hikari
Sora, Yamato, Hikari and Takeru are happily singing and joining hands and driving to happiness or something like that and you see the horizon THE END.

Epilogue Celebration: Couples
Eyyyy, sorry to hit you up twice in one day, but...  I’m behind, so here we are!
I will chat a bit about 2028 couples below the cut!
Keep in mind that the crew are all adults in this discussion.
Taichi
Look, I’m sorry, I really am, but...  Ya boi is a mess, romantically.  I really can’t wait to get into this in a fic, but Taichi chose a difficult life as an ambassador in the time when Digimon and humans are first coming together.  And while I think Taichi is good at surface-level flirting (and also has a strong mind-body connection and physical stamina for... adult activities), I...  Really...  Don’t think...  He Relationships well.  Er.  Sorry.
So, um...  I think his dating life is both varied and... stormy.  Lots of casual dating of all kinds of people, but it’s rare for him to introduce anyone to friends and family.  Plus, in the wake of... Kizuna events, he starts off adulthood...  With a lot on his heart and his mind.
It takes him a long time to find the mother of his child, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t marry/if they separated/if he somehow ended up with someone else.
The good news is that Taichi learns and grows from everything.  I know that someday, he’ll find the right person, and he’ll always do his best for his son.
Yamato and Sora
I’m influenced by @adventure-hearts on this one, but I think Yamato and Sora dated on-and-off again during different stages in their lives.  They both have enormous dreams that came before their love life, until one day...  I can’t tell you if it was emotional, or if their paths suddenly merged somehow, but someday, they fell into step and stayed there.
I think they’re very happy together, but have an unconventional life.  They spend a lot of time apart because of their jobs, and they rely on their wide net of family and friends to help with the kids.
I think they are extremely well suited to each other and have a great marriage, but...  They both have a tendency to internalize, pull back, and brood.  They’re constantly working on their communication.
Koushiro
I think that Koushiro struggles romantically in his late teens/early twenties.  He seems to very much want a girlfriend, but he never can spare the time to look for one...  And when his friends set him up, it tends to...  Go... Poorly.  Poor dude puts his foot in his mouth, freezes, or just... doesn’t know how to relate to people outside of digimon and computers/math/science.  He also tends to try too hard, to the point where it’s a Bad Look.
My opinion is that Koushiro needs someone... very specific to handle his, um... Koushiro-ness.  I pair him with Anami Eimi,  a digimon biology researcher whose heart sometimes supersedes her mind.  The idea is that they’re both introverted and research-oriented, and they can gab about their ideas forever.  But Eimi is warm, with strong social skills and social intelligence.  She can’t touch Koushiro’s level of genius, but she’s smart, hardworking, and injects creativity and thoughtfulness into her work.  She also foresees the social and political implications of the latest developments in Digital World and digimon research/technologies, where Koushiro tends to focus on the immediate problem (you can’t blame him; he’s constantly asked to put out sizable fires.  There is always more fire.  So much fire).
They probably work together off and on for a long time before one of them realizes, oh.  The part after that is probably a mess, knowing Koushiro, but they get there!
Koushiro’s polite nature and Eimi’s private one make it so that strangers wouldn’t know they’re married.  Still, Koushiro’s close friends, like the Chosen, see the way his eyes follow her, especially when he’s uncertain and wanting social cues.  They have a quiet, stable partnership, which Daisuke describes as, “Married and boring,” but they’re very happy.
And Koushiro is very curious, the type who wants to try everything at least once, eyyyyy.
The only thing causing tension is Koushiro working too much and failing to care for himself properly.  Luckily, Kae and Masami live in the same apartment mansion, and Kae has eased their marriage when needed by cooking, cleaning, calling Koushiro to remind him of Important Husband Things, and making general suggestions about how an erring husband might smooth things over with his ruffled wife.  That last one usually consists of, “Bring home dinner/get your ass home/get your ass to sleep/why yes you DO need to apologize for that.”
It also helps that Eimi loves Tentomon, an accomplished Koushiro-wrangler and general peace keeper.
Mimi
Mimi’s all about fun, novelty, and freedom.  She dates around and has casual partners of all varieties.  Eventually, she decides to co-parent a child with her long-standing romantic interest.  They share custody of their son, who also spends a lot of time with grandparents and friends, including the Chosen.  Mimi and her son’s father have an understanding that they see other people while they’re apart, but don’t bring them around their son without discussing it first.  It’s all amicable, chill, and provides their son with an enormous support network.
I don’t know if Mimi would ever settle down.  I think she loves her life with a lot of variety and spontaneity.
Jyou
Marries his high school sweetheart, Bike Girl.  They’re both doctors, so they struggle to get enough time together.  But Bike Girl is sweet, loving, and most importantly, calm and grounded.  Jyou is a huge romantic softy who spoils his wife and takes care of her.  Although they both wish for more time together, they get on amazingly.  Jyou always feels this... wonder and gratitude that he’s married to her.
I won’t lie: Jyou is the best husband.  The other Chosen men wish they could husband as well as Jyou.
Takeru
I really don’t know what to make of this troll.  Sometimes, I think he’s a charmer who dates around a ton, and eventually had an “oops” baby that he amicably co-parents with an ex.  Sometimes, I think he settled down early and started a family, because he wanted that stability and love and constant presence that he didn’t have as a kid.  Sometimes, I wonder if he eventually divorced and went on to later marry a certain childhood friend...
What can I say, he’s a man of mystery.
Hikari
Ahhh, why is this is sooooo hard?
Part of me really wants to see Hikari as an independent woman, and quietly proud about it.  Clearly, she has a child...  Maybe she had her son and later divorced?  Or maybe she’s happily married?  I also admit that I do want to see her with Takeru, at least eventually...
Lots of possibilities here!
Daisuke
Oh, he definitely had an “oops” baby with an ex and is currently trying to find a husband or wife.  Or maybe he did?  Maybe he did!
Miyako and Ken
They’re married, and they are gross about it, lol!
Seriously though, they get on so well.  Ken works a lot (Digimon Police is a tough job), and sometimes Ken needs to find peace and quiet in his home (merry wife + loud kids + MULTIPLE kids = TOO MUCH), so there is sometimes a little tension when Miyako wants more of his time.  But they manage it, and they keep their family and home running smoothly and happily.
I just... picture it as this ideal family, at least for someone desiring a loud, joyful, energetic, nuclear family.
Iori
Iori married early to a down-to-earth woman who specializes in elderly care.  His wife has a big heart and a kind, patient nature.  While she loves and respects Iori’s zeal for helping others, she gently reminds him to take care of himself and his family first.  She also provides perspective when he gets set in a stubborn mentality.  Happily, she enjoys sharing a large apartment with Iori’s mother and grandfather.
Iori is sometimes too focused on the problems of others to see his loved ones properly, and that’s something he works on with his grandfather’s guidance.  When he has his daughter, he instantly reassigns his priorities around her, which softens a lot of his problematic areas.  Also, he married a woman who knows how to help him redirect his thoughts.  He feels genuine amazement that he’s with her.  They have a relationship that is... quietly intense.
AND I AM DONE FOR TODAY, WHEW!

Digimon Related Stuff
I’ve wanted for a long while to write a few opinions I had about Digimon Adventure and Zero Two, specially about the ending. I’d love to read other people opinions as this one is just mine and we all can have different ones. ( I’m not talking about Tamers, but Tamers were even better in some mature and emotional stuff.) I know that it’s a bit useless as I can´’t change anything but I just wanted to write them, and now that Last Evolution Kizuna and the new series are announced I thing it’s a good time. I’m a bit worried about the new series as it seems to be a new story with same characters or something like this and I didn’t like when it happened to other series like Inazuma Eleven, in which it seemed that the characters were for fanservice and the nice development and story they had in the original was lost. Anyways Digimon is part of my heart since day 1 and I’ll see it and I hope I’ll be delight with the new stories.  In my opinion Digimon Adventure was wonderfull, being a child show in that time it talks about some important stuffs, and it has a depth that even if it could be more explored it’s fine as it’s aimed for children and me, as a child, found it great like it was. Like Doremi, I’m amazed about how in both series it’s shown different kind of families and relationships, someones being helthy and others not so much. And also the reactions to death, a dead brother, dead friends... dead Leomon once again and to the weight of responsability that makes Taichi lost confidence or Sora almost in the end of Adventure had a big depression. And in Zero Two BlackWarGreymon looking for who he is, that’s really interesting, BlackWarGreymon was one of best characters to me. Going back to families, in Digimon we have divorced parents, adoptive parents, strict parents, absent father, sick sister and more, and it’s said about how it makes their children act. And what’s best in my opinion is that these parents (most of them) get involved in the story and help their children fighting the bad digimons, each one as they can. Yamato’s father, Sora’s mother and Koushirou’s parents are the most involved. While the others give their support as much as they can. But in Digimon they don’t need to “kill the parents” to give freedom of moving to the children, parents help as much as they can, sometimes just being sure they eat enough. And improving their relationships with their children. About Zero Two, while a lot of people didn’t like it and myself find Adventure better, is also a good series. They had other issues, I think it’s more focused in siblings that in parents but also in the “who I am” as I said with BlackWarGreymon. Who I am is a topic that appears all the time and that every main character has to overcome, altough Ken and BlackWarGreymon take more time and importance. Also Daisuke is a sunshine boy, he was ready to die for his friends in the beguinning. And then it come the epilogue, and well, I didn’t like it, as many people. I’m not salty about it, the characters aren’t us, but some of the things that happened were like... “why”. And this could haven been answered along the series to not be so shocked. I’m going to talk about the chosed jobs for each child. When I saw the first time the epilogue I only understand the reason for 4, the others were truly unexpected. Taichi [8/10], as a child I dislike a lot his job but now I can understand why it’s important for him. He is the ambassador of Digital Work. I think Sora would fit this job too, but Taichi is the Leader so it’s okay. I only would like more if they focused it in Taichi and Agumon being the spokespeople of Digimon wih Children and other Digimon being the spokesmon of the Digimon without Children. And do you know how could have been? Leomon. So ending picture of Taichi and Agumon shaking hands with Leomon about agreeing some important stuff. To me it’d have been perfect.  Yamato [0/10], this one was the most unexpected in a bad way. I didn’t understand why or how Yamato ended as astronaut. Like... cheff? ok, musician? great, Taichi’s right hand in gobernment? amazing. Astronaut?... hell no. But I supposed they had their reasson altough I can’t understand it yet. I would have like if Yamato would have being side by side with Taichi, being the second man with Gabumon being the second Digimon. Or being the headmasters of an organitation to help Digimon that enter Human World by mistake to go back to Digiworld. Also continuing with the Music Career would have been amazing. A group with Humans and Digimon maybe?  Sora [4/10] I didn’t like Sora’s work at all either. In Tri they try to give a reason behind it but... Not enough. Trough the series Sora is portrayed as a strong and indepent woman but most important also Leader and Sportive. I’d have like if she would continue with something sportive. Yes, it can be a Hobby, but even if it’d have been good developed I’d have like more if she continued with her mother’s Ikebana’s tradition.  Koushirou [10/10] What else could have he been? Just perfect to him. I’d also have like to see Wallace and Miyako working with him, but Koushirou’s focusing, just perfect. Mimi [2/10] How a girl who adds sugar and cream to a fried egg endep as Cheff? Mimi culinary’s art are shown in the series (even in Tri) as horribles. But as a little kids Teacher... I think this job suits her more than to Hikari. Mimi is caring, with a gold heart as it’s seeing her growing from being selfish to being really sweet. I’d have like that Mimi would become a Teacher and Teaches the importance about living with Digimons. Jyou [10/10] Same that with Koushirou, this rol just fits him so much I couldn’t see him being something different. He started not wanting to become a doctor, but trough the series and seeing how his friends become injured and even dying, he changes he mind. It’s good developed in the series and I liked it a lot. Takeru [7/10] I didn’t like but also didn’t dislike, I’m neutral about this. I didn’t know what I could like for him better as it’s not showed anything. Maybe something that can help agains evils? But writing stories can be a good way to do too. Hikari [7/10] She said she wanted to become a teacher and she did. But with her character I would see her more being a Reporter. She likes the truth, enlight the things and it would have been a good way to do. But I’m fine with her being a Teacher just because in canon it’s said it was her dream. Daisuke [?/10] I just don’t know how to feel. Same that with Hikari, he sais it was his dream but... I found it so strange that Daisuke wanted to have a Noodles’ Restaurant. I think they should have explained why in canon. Just that. Miyako [2/10] I understand being at home as a house keeper is important but she had so much potential with informatics, she could work as a programmer from home or something like that. I also didn’t understand why she married Ken... like she couldn’t understand him at all, I always found Miyako crush on Ken strange and not really healthy, but well... I hope in Kizuna this would be good developed.
Iori [10/10] He was another one I really liked, I loved how he went from being so hard with “good or evil” to understand that maybe villains aren’t so bad and that they can be helped with compassion. It’s the one I like the most, because Jyou or Koushirou were easy choices, but with Iori, I was surprised to good. Ken [10/10] I also like this one a lot, he did bad in the past, he knew he did bad and then he tried to do good because it’s his life and his way to make the world a better place. Being a Police to help others with everything. I liked, I liked a lot it. And these are my opinions, I don’t know if someone would read them but I just wanted to share them! And as I said, I’d love to read other people’s ones, specially abot what everyon would have like them to work as adults? Just tell me!

Digimon Stage Play - Part One
Sorry, my friend introduced me to Tiger and Bunny, which is why this was delayed ;;; This is everything up until curtain for half time, rest will be up within the next 12 hours, sorry!!! Aight, so tl;dr: great show, actors are perfect, Yamato is beautiful beyond belief, Mimi is UGHHHHHH in the good way and I’m bitter that the whole show isn’t sold out and whoever was in charge of promotion should be forced to eat nothing but the hottest of hot chillies for the rest of their life.
Venue/Goods: a little out of the way, small. You couldn’t buy goods unless you had a ticket, which sucks. Goods were sold on the inside, line was small pre-play, massive after. My store clerk couldn’t count to save her life. People were trading, everybody hated that everything was random and there were so many types of things. Friend and I ordered dvd – no blu ray option, it’s being released in December. Had to downpay 2000 yen, which this and dvd only option has never happened before when I’ve seen other stage shows – not a good sign. No postal option, so my friend has to pick mine up for me – poor form again. (Pick up is only at animate – my nearest one is 2+ hours away :/)
Promotion/sold out: four shows sold out. Tickets reduced to 7000 yen, which is insulting for us who went through lottery. They advertised low prices at fes too. Promotion was done badly. Digimon isn’t massively popular, but Toei isn’t small either. Get a cast twitter, post rehearsal pics etc. Promotion doesn’t need to be costly. Fes advertisement (last weeks vid) was too little too late. Theres events with Miyazaki and AiM and seiyuus, which also seems last minute and an attempt to sell out. Again insulting to those of us to preordered. Shonichi didn’t sell out. Must be tough on actors. Promotion video (August 5th? 6th?) is kinda bad quality – the stage itself looks and sounds better than the video may lead you to believe.
Seating: nice, comfy. We were second row, left hand side, aisle. If we had been one or two more to the left it would have been really bad (same if you’re too overly right). The cast faces back/sideways too often, so we saw a lot of backs. Need to work on being diagonal, basic stage stuff there. However, pros of our seating were: Yamato being right in front of us when he sang, Jyou fishing in front of us and making eye contact with Etemon to the point where it was creepy lmao
Play Y’all. Y’ALL. THIS IS THE GOOD SHIT. A+ A+ A+ A+!!!!!! Agumon is twitchy in the start, scene is a little long. He’s basically like ‘my body can’t move/is moving on it’s own???? Wat? Why???’ (both happen, not a bad translation on my part). He wakes up and Gabumon’s like ‘yeah me too’ and some of the other Digimon agree but Palmon’s like ‘yeah same but it’s because I’m not a morning person lmao’.
They all go to where the kids are. So this is set sometime after Koushirou makes the cyber space for them. Mimi and Koushirou talk about camping and Mimi ends up throwing his laptop on the FLOOR. Koushirou looks heartbroken and the entire audience was ?!?!? but sasuga Mimi and Koushirou’s like … well, moving on. Mimi is perfect beyond belief. Right voice, face, mannerisms. I know that’s what acting is, but she NAILED IT. She’s all like ‘camping is about feeling the breeze~’ then acts like she has wind her face, ‘about being hot’ (ahhhh, it’s hoooooot, she says), about monsters! (she says as she stalks towards the Digimon). We then get the scene where Sora talks about the importance of August 1st. While she speaks, on the left and right sides we see actual scenes from the original anime, which is really touching. Sora mentions that although there were good times, there were bad ones too (CUE GIF OF LEOMON DYING BECAUSE THEY HAD TO HAVE IT SOMEWHERE) All the mons wanna go camping which obviously, is cool.
Hikari invites Taichi and they talk. Jyou calls Hikari but Taichi answers and Jyou doesn’t realise. ‘Damn that Taichi, he isn’t coming? Leave it to me!’ Eventually Taichi is like ‘it me moron’ and Jyou convinces him to come after Taichi’s like ‘I BET UR NOT COMING’ because Jyou, as always, has exams. Jyou is a smart ass? He’s like ‘Taichi, next year, you’ll be in my position. And if it’s you… well… you’ll be in trouble.’ SUCH A GOOD SCENE JYOU IS MVP IN THIS PLAY Y’ALL. He gets his creep on here and it’s so funny.
Next is Knife of Day. Yamato sung and you could tell he was nervous but he did really well. Yamato talks technical stuff (music wise) and then he high fives and fist bumps one of the band mates?? CUTIE PATOOTIE ALERT!!!! Honestly, he’s so pure and beautiful? One of the band mates tried to go ‘Knife of Day is… well, the name isn’t…’ ‘HAVE CONFIDENCE IT’S ALL GOOD FRIEND!!!!’ ‘Yamato that’s not what-‘ ‘WITH THESE MEMBERS WE’RE KNIFE OF DAY! WE’RE GOOD!!!’ ‘but the name-‘ ‘THESE FOUR MEMBERS. KNIFE OF DAY. HAVE CONFIDENCE!!!!’ Takeru comes along and talks about camp. Yamato is very cute toward Takeru who is worried a little about him. Very sweet scenes. Yamato explains both the band and August 1st are important to him. Later, Takeru buys Yamato a pink sleeping bag because he’s a shit head lmao
Everyone’s at camp, Mimi forgets everything. She’s adorable. People set up camp, which is cute. Yamato runs the kitchen and Hikari is chased by Agumon because she has meat. Etemon is the camp ground guardian? (What do you call these guys??) He takes their money (OF COURSE) and keeps going ‘there are MONKEYS around here!’ and everyone’s like k cool story. Eventually he’s like YOU WANNA SEE A MONKEY?!? But everyone’s like nah bro we good, so he runs off dejected.
The kids talk about the future. Mimi just wants to be a kid forever, but Palmon says she wants to be an adult lol. Koushirou isn’t sure what he wants to do, but says he likes computers. Jyou really talks about why he wants to be a doctor and it’s such a good speech! Yamato and Taichi are both like ‘well, I like my hobby I guess??’ Sora deflects the question, Hikari doesn’t know.
Yamato and Taichi try to converse later (it’s just the two of them because Koushirou said something to ruin the mood so Takeru dragged him away even though he was like ‘I’ll stay awake as long as you’re up bro’). It’s mostly Hey Yamato Yeah? …. … . … Yeah?! …Nothing -silence- We have a lot to talk about, huh Yamato? -plays harmonica-
dumb morons lmao
Mimi: Sora, you awake? …SORA Hikari: aye what up Mimi: GHOST STORY TIME Hikari: starts telling an old experience Mimi: NO TOO SPOOKY STOP STOP LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE!!!!!
She tries to get info out of Hikari who tries to get info out of her back. They both start going ‘what about Sora’ who stays asleep but Mimi is about to ‘reveal’ who Sora likes when she shoots up and is all like I DON’T LIKE ANYONE!!! They’re all lying down in sleeping bags, so Hikari and Mimi were jumping around in their sleeping bags and Mimi does the CUTEST wiggle!!!
They talk about their dreams and Mimi is like ‘I like lotsa stuff??’ but she thinks it’s stupid and is kinda embarrassed but they’re like?? No? it’s cool to have multiple interests and dreams? WHICH IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Jyou leaves early for his exam the next morning. Shit goes down and people split up to solve the problem. Etemon ends up revealing himself to Taichi and co. He’s super strong and is basically like “it’s been six years your time BUT I’VE BEEN SUPER SUPER LONELY FOR 100 YEARS I JUST WANNA CHILL”
There’s a gate so everyone (bar Jyou) is stuck at camp. Etemon forces Tai, Hikari, Sora and Mimi to bbq with him. AND THE ETEMON FIVE. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT – ETEMON HAS FOUR COLOURED MONKEY BOY BAND FRIENDS. THEY SING AND EAT AND PLAY TOGETHER. THEY’RE THE ETEMON FIVE, COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU!!!
Anyway, there’s a fight and Etemon wins and gets the above group together and the bbq happens. Etemon is super happy to see Hikari (“oniichan!” “eh? You’re the only dude… YOUR SISTER?! HOW ADORABLE!!!”) and she’s like ‘stop fighting’ and he’s like ‘girl? That’s all I want???’ but later they eat all the food and Etemon whips out yakisoba and offers some to Hikari.
“No. I don’t want it?” –awkward silence- Etemon 1: Eh? Why? Etemon 2: -idk- Etemon 3: Don’t push her! Etemon 4: Is it… you’re dieting? If that’s it… I totally understand…
Hikari is done with their shit. She wants to go home. Mimi wants a bath. Sora’s done with this bullshit. They realise time has gone whack. Tai and Sora have a tiff, Mimi makes Sora back down when she tries to comfort him so Hikari can do it instead. Time is whack so they’ve been there forever, Etemon is like I SAID I WAS LONELY YOU CAN’T LEAVE EVER!!! He then tries to make Taichi be his bestie.
By forcing him into a kiss.
Curtain close.
(Honestly it was the funniest thing – it was a non-sexual kiss, but y’all, consent is consent. I mean, you probably shouldn’t take dating advice from a man in a monkey suit who low key resembles Piko Taro, but like. This is a weird site, Idk where some of you learnt to romance. I feel I need to say that.)

Café au miel
Disclaimer: Digimon does not belong to me.
Notes: Part one of #digiOTPweek2k17.
Title: Café au miel on FF.net Rating: G Genre: Friendship/Romance Prompt: Every fandom needs its coffee shop AU. Word Count: 2,000
Monday
On Monday mornings, Yamato doesn't even look up when the bell chimes. It is one of the busiest days of the week and half their customers are groggy, more asleep than awake while the other half is buzzing with excitement and energy and he isn't really sure which is worse. He focuses on keeping track of all orders and not making a mess of himself, which helps the day go by faster and keep Yamato sane.
This is also why he doesn't really care about being in charge of the orders while Sora takes over the register, too slow to handle hot items so early in the morning. Being in charge of taking orders can be a challenge, especially when clients often stutter or stare (popularity comes with a hefty price, alas).
"Latte with a little honey, please. Oh, can you add that before the milk? Otherwise the foam is too sweet and the coffee is bland..."
"Can you get that?" Sora asks and Yamato is already on it. He trickles two teaspoons of pure honey into the cup and adds the piping hot espresso, making sure to mix it well before pouring the milk and foam. He throws a smattering of cinnamon on top and slides the drink up to Sora.
"Ja ne, Yasuo-san. Sora-san."
He barely catches a hint of pink and rolls his eyes.
Probably an art student, or something.
Tuesday
Sora is great with customers, she remembers their names, draws cute things on their cups and often gives them just a little extra whipped cream on their orders. She has a kind smile, the sort that girls return happily and boys receive dumbly, which in turn makes Yamato roll his eyes to the far side of his head. But every once in a while a boy will come in and make of her a fumbling mess and these are moments he treasures dearly, because it's so rare to see her look so decidedly flustered.
Yamato is usually polite and has a very good memory, which is an advantage when it's a busy day and everyone's queuing to be responsible for his headaches. But he's also impatient and sometimes downright refuses to engage with anyone outside strict protocol. This makes him an unfortunate target for high school girls who come and sit for hours at a time, ogling and giggling and sometimes writing down their numbers on napkins he doesn't even pretend to read.
"Hi!"
The girl before him is very pretty and Yamato is for a moment, completely taken aback by this fact. She's not looking into his face, instead concentrating on the extensive menu behind him and he has to make a conscious effort not to sigh.
"Would you like a few more minutes to look at the menu?" he asks in his best, most neutral voice. The girl shakes her head and smiles widely at him.
"No, that's okay. I'll have some raspberry-mint iced water, please."
"Coming right up."
"Can you crush the mint leaves? And give it a good shake before adding the raspberries."
He turns around to deliver her order and ring her up. The girl takes it and with the briefest of glances at his name-tag, shakes a hand saying, "Thanks, Yamoriko-san!"
Sora sneaks a glance. "Yamo-riko?"
Yamato makes an irritated, tsk sound. It's only Tuesday and he's already about to give up.
"Don't even think about it."
Wednesday
On Wednesdays Yamato takes the late shift because he's got evening class and needs his mornings to both rest and advance on his assignments. These are usually good shifts, fairly busy because it's also the day he checks on storage levels and next week's schedule for part-timers. It's not really his job, but his boss, Nadeshiko-san, has figured the other employees are kind of afraid of him so she won't budge.
He's finishing up the schedule when she comes in and he only recognises her due to the unusual, dreamy pink of her hair. She's holding several books in her hands and looks tired and still very pretty and Yamato forces himself to smile back when she does, peripherally, before settling in a table for two right by the window. It doesn't take long for her to be joined by a tall young man with short, dark hair and clear glasses. The girl looks happy to see him but Yamato looks away, searching for Sora.
She's staring at the scene as surreptitiously as she can, but a fierce blush betrays her face.
Yamato smirks. "Do you want me to take it?"
"Don't be silly," she snaps, scowling. It's not a good look for her. "I don't care."
He dodges a slap on his arm as he chuckles low at her denial. He catches the girl's eye for an instant and she smiles vibrantly at him, so much it flusters him into moving to the back office until she's gone.
Thursday
She comes by again on Thursday, wearing a yellow dress and a cute straw hat. Her shades are shaped like hearts and Yamato is ready to bet good money on her asking for the pink and sparkly frapuccino on sale. He's about to suggest as much when she glances briefly at him, waving at Takuya in the back.
"Welcome, what can I do you for today?"
"Japaccino," she says brightly. "Extra whipped cream!"
"No problem, but we'll have to—"
"Don't worry, I know it's extra," she slides him her payment and winks as he hands over her order. "Thanks, Yamaguchi-san!"
Yamato's eyebrow twitches. She is the definition of 'extra', if he ever saw it.
"It's not—,"
But she's already waving with her back turned to him, leaving him amidst a shower of barely-contained giggles.
Friday
It's Friday afternoon and the café is packed with college and high school students and a few friendly neighbours. He wasn't supposed to come in today but Izumi called in sick and he had time (the extra pay doesn't hurt and it's always good to have Izumi in one's debt), so he's helping out behind the counter while the rest wait the tables. The girl with pink hair is back again and this immediately annoys Yamato. She's sitting pretty at the table near the window, directly within his range of view. The same guy from before accompanies her and Sora doesn't take long in bringing in their order (green tea and chocolate cake for him, café au miel and a slice of carrot cake, presumably for her).
"I think that's his girlfriend," Sora declares glumly. It's normal to develop crushes on some of the regular customers, especially for someone so friendly like Sora. Megane-kun (as Yamato often refers to him) seemed to be friendly, a little spacey, med-student and veritable Good Guy, also the sort of man someone like Sora would be unable to resist. Unfortunately for her, he also seemed to be very taken by the pretty girl sitting with him (Yamato doesn't care about this, no matter how bright her smile is).
Yamato shrugs. "Most likely."
"You're supposed to cheer me up!"
"When have I ever? Besides, if you really wanted, you could just ask him out."
Instead of flipping him off (he would've expected nothing less of anyone but her), Sora loads her tray and turns back to their clients while the rest of the team pours, mixes, shakes and garnishes beverages of various types and sizes. Yamato has just finished handing over six double frothy capuccinos to a group of teenagers and is startled by a shock of pink hair that accompanies a permeating floral scent. It mingles wonderfully with the coffee, something he notes and then dismisses with flustered alarm.
"Can I help you with something?" he asks, not unkindly.
The girl leans on his counter, chin in hand. She's looking over at her table, where Sora is nodding at the young man who continues to shake his head and hands—they both look very flustered. "He's hopeless when it comes to these things. Do you know we've been here every day this week, just to see Sora-san?" When Yamato doesn't answer (he's too shocked to do so), the girl grins wickedly. "If this doesn't work, then nothing will. I knocked over his tea."
His mouth opens and then his lip curls. "We—she thought you were his girlfriend."
"Yeah? I hope he has a mind to clear that up." she says, laughing. Her eyes crinkle at their corners and Yamato tries not to stare. "Well, I'll be having a honey coffee to go then, please. You can add that to his tab."
He glances at Sora, who's shuffling her feet awkwardly while Megane-kun fumbles with his glasses. His friend seems to be more amused than malicious and so, despite himself, he serves up her order and writes it down on his own tab.
"Much obliged, Yaku-san."
"I'm not—,"
"Let me know how it goes!"
Saturday
To his credit, he's actually prepared for her this time (or as prepared as he can be, considering), so when she strides purposely to his counter (it's no coincidence he's on the register today, too), Yamato greets her with a cool, knowing smile.
"Welcome, what will you be having today?"
She eyes Sora in the background, who gives her a tiny wave that makes her brush prettily and when she looks at Yamato, she's remarkedly less composed.
"Jyou said he didn't pay for my coffee," she cuts right to the chase and Yamato nods, impressed.
"A token of Sora's appreciation."
"Sora-san didn't pay for it, either," her eyes narrow. "I checked."
"Our hospitality, then."
"I didn't know you were so giving."
"We're a magnanimous business. It was nothing."
"Well, in that case ... thanks for nothing, Yakamochi-san."
This is what he's been waiting for and judging by the roll in his eyes and the amused glint in hers, so has she. "It's Yamato."
"What is?" her eyelashes are so long, they brush her cheeks when she blinks. He thinks it must be on purpose and no-one should have the right, really.
"My name. Not Yaku, not Yamaguchi, not—,"
"Yamoriko?"
"Especially not that."
"I see," she says, tossing caramel rose curls over a pale, thin shoulder. "Well, ja ne, Yamato-kun."
Their fingers (his, mostly his, but she doesn't recoil) linger and never has the warmth of a steaming cup of coffee seemed sweeter. "You won't tell me your name?"
She leans over the counter, tip-toeing to kiss the air around him, just close enough for him to see the smatter of freckles on her nose and cheeks, smell the sweetness of her lip gloss. Too far.
"Sunday. Ask me again, Yamato-kun," and she touches her ear twice, grinning as she leaves the coffee store and he swears the air around her shimmers.
Sunday
"Espresso, steamed milk, honey and a just the right amount of cinnamon."
"A fine drink, if I say so myself."
"My compliments to the chef," she nods, taking the warm paper cup from him.
"Barista. I don't cook, really."
"At all?"
Yamato shrugs as he slides into the chair opposite her table, a macchiato sitting between them and saving him from being too idle. "I'm not averse to it."
"Where's your apron, Mr. Perfect Cup?" she asks, eyeing him with interest. He's wearing a crisp white shirt and dark blue jeans, ankle suede boots that give his casual look just a touch of dressy-enough. She looks devastating in a short denim dress, a pink cardigan around her shoulders lending to the blush in her cheeks and bringing out the highlights of her hair.
"I'm not working today." He's hiding behind his cup, taking a small sip and pondering over the next course of action. "Would you like to take a walk with me?" And he pauses, his smile working its way into his clear blue eyes. He touches his ear, twice. "Mimi-san."
Mimi is all smiles, white teeth and red apples in her cheeks. The taste of honey is sweet on her tongue. "I'd love to."

I see you're a Digimon fan, at least Adventure. Have any ships? Favorite characters? Fan digimon or their human partners?
(Warning: this is going to be a long-ass post because I finally get to talk about Digimon. I blame you for that)
Hello, hello! Why yes, I’m a Digimon fan. I don’t know if I can necessarily call myself part of the fandom though seeing as I have never watched anything but Digimon Adventure 1 and 2 (because I grew up watching those two). Recently I’ve started to familiarize myself with Digimon (meaning re-watching them all over again) to gear myself up before diving into Digimon Tri, hence the flood of Digimon stuff on my blog.
Now, speaking of ships, ugh. The thing about Digimon Adventure is that I HAVE SO MANY PAIRINGS IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Here’s the list:
Taichi x Sora (I will be forever bitter about the fact that Taiora is NOT canon. Taiora is a match made in fucking heaven, come on)
Taichi x Takeru (try to tell me that these two wouldn’t be compatible and I will LAUGH in your face. Takeru is the embodiment of ‘calm and collected’, so he can keep Taichi in check whenever he’s out of line, which let’s be real here, he often is. Taichi getting beyond excited to adopt a baby with Takeru. Takeru smiling lovingly. IT’S BEAUTIFUL)
Mimi x Yamato (HOW COULD THEY NOT MAKE THESE TWO CANON INSTEAD?! THESE TWO COULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN BEAUTIFULLY COMPATIBLE HAD ONLY THEY TRIED TO EXPLORE THIS PAIRING. I HONESTLY??? DON’T??? GET??? HOW??? THEY CHOSE??? TO??? PAIR YAMATO UP?? WITH??? SORA??? HOW DOES SORATO EVEN WORK????)
Yamato x Daisuke (I feel that pent-up sexual frustration is closely tied to these two)
Mimi x Jyou (I used to ship them when I was a kid, before I decided that Mimato would be much better. I still like the idea of them together though)
Mimi x Koushiro (I don’t exactly SHIP-SHIP them, but there was this one Koumi drabble that I stumbled across that was more than brilliantly done and since then, I kinda entertain the idea of these two together)
Mimi x Miyako (hell fucking yeah. Gimme Miyako and Mimi being a disgustingly in-love couple just like Mimi’s parents)
Koushiro x Miyako (again, I don’t exactly ship-ship them, but I can see them ending up together. All that leaning over the other’s shoulder working on something together on a computer… yeah. Sexual tension everywhere)
Takeru x Hikari (let’s be real here. At one point in our lives we must have shipped them at least for a period of time. I still do, to some extent, but not as much as I used to when I was little)
Takeru x Catherine (think about it. Takeru has this charm basically oozing and spilling out all over the place, coupled that with his easy-going mien… the kind of character that would be a perfect match for someone of Catherine’s caliber and personality)
Hikari x Daisuke (I feel that Hikari COULD easily fall in love with Daisuke if these two were explored. And Daisuke would be so good to her he practically would worship the very ground she walked on. They’d be one of those couples that was lovey-dovey and mushy, (yet steadfast and strong) all the time that it would get sickening at times. One of those ‘high school sweethearts’ that eventually would end up married and having a litter of kids)
Daisuke x Ken (”I know I felt it. That we’re partners. IchIjouji’s heartbeat… thump, thump, thump… I felt it inside me!” if you’re telling me that’s not gay then I don’t know what is)
Daisuke x Catherine (not even going to bother explaining this one because I know the pairing sounds illogical but, eh, whatever)
Ken x Miyako (do you have ANY idea how over the moon I was when the epilogue showed them married with three babies? I was only nine or so at the time, BUT I HAD BEEN SHIPPING THEM FOR A WHILE; I believe it was after that episode where Miyako decided to believe that Ken had changed for the better and for good. Whooo boy. One of my all-time OTPs, that’s for sure)
Iori x Takeru (I don’t ship these two as much as I ship Takeru and Taichi, but I can see these two work well)
Now that the shipping thing is out of the way, I’m bad at picking favorites. Especially favorite characters, because I like all of them. But I guess if I had to choose… maybe Ken? His character has always fascinated me ever since I was little (aside from his raging hotness; but the again, I find each one of those Chosen Children attractive, so). He has so many layers but at the same time he’s inherently and overall a good, loving, gentle and kind person. The way he treats Wormmon warms my heart (NOT when he’s the Digimon Kaiser, mind you. I neither condone, defend, nor romanticize his Digimon Kaiser persona. In fact, the Digimon Kaiser makes me sick. I’m talking about the pure Ken Ichijouji here). Basically I’m just a sucker for cinnamon rolls that are too good for this world, and Ken Ichijouji is one of them.
I have to say I don’t really understand your last question here. Did you mean my favorite pair of Digimon and their partner? Or my favorite Digimon that are assigned to human partners? Tell you what: I’ll give you answers to both possible questions (I FEEL LIKE TALKING ABOUT DIGIMON SO SUE ME)
Favorite pairs of Digimon and human partners:
Tentomon - Koushiro (the dynamic between these two is so endearing to me. Not to mention the way Tentomon calls Koushiro with the -han suffix)
Agumon - Taichi (classic goofballs of the group)
Patamon - Takeru (PATAMON AND TAKERU WAILING LIKE ACTUAL BABIES AND BEING SMOL BABIES TOGETHER IN  ADVENTURE 1 WILL NEVER BE NOT CUTE)
Tailmon - Hikari (a cat and a cat lover. What more do you need?)
Palmon - Mimi (so there were a couple of times when I felt that Mimi treated Palmon like crap, but I like the overall vibe these two give)
V-mon - Daisuke (I know that every Digimon has unending loyalty to their partner and vice versa, but the loyalty between these two is literally in-your-face fierce and I like that shit)
Wormmon - Ken (I COULD WATCH THESE TWO JUST DOING MUNDANE THINGS TOGETHER FOR DAYS ON END WITHOUT GETTING BORED)
Favorite Digimon with human partners:
Gomamon (kid’s got a dry sense of humor. Me likey. Plus, his attack is MARCHING FISHES. MARCHING MOTHERFUCKING FISHES. COLORFUL, MARCHING FISHES. IF THAT’S NOT CUTE THEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS)
Agumon (he eats like a pig. What’s not to love?)
Tentomon (the way he talks never fails to amuse me)
Palmon (MY SWEET CHILD WHO LOVES PRETTY THINGS AND LOOKING PRETTY)
Patamon (can I just take him home and mush his cheeks together?)
Armadimon (”Something something DAGYAAA” jeez. Can he be any more adorable?)
Wormmon (WHO DOESN’T WANT A DIGIMON WHO LOOKS AT YOU LIKE YOU CAN DO NOTHING WRONG? PLUS, I WOULDN’T MIND HIS CLINGINESS, LIKE, AT ALL. HE COULD NUZZLE UP TO ME WHENEVER HE SO PLEASED)
As for your last question about Miyako x Hikari, I don’t have a problem with that pairing. It’s just that I envision Miyako with Mimi more than with Hikari.

Digimon Stage Play - Full
Aight, so tl;dr: great show, actors are perfect, Yamato is beautiful beyond belief, Mimi is UGHHHHHH in the good way and I’m bitter that the whole show isn’t sold out and whoever was in charge of promotion should be forced to eat nothing but the hottest of hot chillies for the rest of their life.
Timeline: It’s set after Koushirou creates the cyber space for them, but before the reboot. Clearly on/around August 1st ;p
Friend and I ordered dvd – no blu ray option, it’s being released in December (average wait time since Japan is very slow on physical releases).
The puppets look quite nice tbh. Sometimes a little weird and maybe the cast should have worn the traditional black instead, but it was done well.
A couple of time it’s acknowledged that Hikari should have been there on August 1st but was sick. I believe at one point they were like ‘yeah we’re low key looking for Meikuumon’ so they’ve all met Meiko and plot stuff has happened. Whether you like Meiko or not (and the 02 kids), they aren’t relevant here – August 1st is for the original kids and I’m very glad they kept it that way.
Next is Knife of Day. Yamato sung and you could tell he was nervous but he did really well. He seemed to try and do too much of a Yamato voice instead of his natural voice).
Of course, Yamato finds out about his sleeping bag and runs after Takeru. Etemon is the camp ground guardian? (What do you call these guys??) He takes their money (OF COURSE) and keeps going ‘there are MONKEYS around here!’ while posing ridiculously and everyone’s like k cool story.
Theres a scene where Jyou sees a shooting star. Nobody else can see it. It’s cute.
-plays harmonica-
dumb morons lmao (all KoD stuff and Yamato’s harmonica is live. It sounds much better than what the video leads you to believe!!!!)
“No. I don’t want it.” –awkward silence- Etemon 1: Eh? Why? Etemon 2: -idk- Etemon 3: Don’t push her! Etemon 4: Is it… you’re dieting? If that’s it… I totally understand…
Hikari is done with their shit. She wants to go home. Mimi wants a bath. Sora’s done with this bullshit. They realise time has gone whack so they’ve been there hours. Tai and Sora have a tiff as Tai is trying to keep the peace (doesn’t want to keep fighting, Sora realises they’ve essentially been kidnapped by Etemon 5), Mimi makes Sora back down when she tries to comfort him so Hikari can do it instead.
Part Two. Curtain stays shut. Jyou is wandering around the audience. Gomamon says it’s cool he failed his test. Jyou is very dramatic but eventually he reveals he did perfectly. Very cute moment. Etemon comes out after Jyou leaves (curtain still shut) and tries to get the crowd to yell his name. This happened earlier and nobody responded. He asked Taichi what his name was and got no response either ;;;; This time, the audience gave a lukewarm result so we got called weak lol. He then asked us again and we said his name louder, so he was very happy. The curtain was drawn and he almost got pushed away by it.
There’s more of a fight and we see all the groups are separated. The Digimon start feeling affected like how Agumon was at the start. A lot of the discussions they have are mostly about understanding the importance of August 1st, but also realising they can’t stay there forever. Life happens. They need to move on.
A gate appears so everyone is stuck in a barrier. Bar Jyou. Because he understands August 1st, is in the past, but still treasures it. Jyou and Yamato have a really good conversation, and it’s really nice to see Yamato being over the top and emotional around someone who isn’t Takeru or Taichi.
But before that, when everyone realises something is weird Koushirou’s like ‘Jyou is our last hope!’. Yamato and Takeru aren’t… too enthusiastic about that ;;; Anyway, Jyou comes in the barrier like no problem, Takeru tries to show him there’s a problem and Jyou’s like ‘are you miming something? There’s no barrier lol’. Koushirou becomes distrustful that Jyou isn’t the real deal, so he’s like ‘nvm you can leave’ and Jyou does. Only to come right back.
I’m leaving! OKAY BYE!!! –leaves-….-comes back- I’M SERIOUSLY GONNA LEAVE!!! Go right ahead!! …Really?
This exchange goes on for a while and it’s soooooooo funny. Eventually Koushirou and Takeru leave so Yamato and Jyou have their talk, since Yamato is so frustrated he can’t do anything for Gabumon who is clearly unwell.
There’s a fight and Taichi gained confidence from Agumon who is also feeling the effects of the time warp thing. Agumon digivolves into Greymon, and it’s so cool shit. It starts off with a screen and the music and then the big walls move to cover Agumon and BAM life size Greymon!!! It was done soooooo well!!!!
Etemon reveals he isn’t the villain after fighting. (This is kinda spaced out with talking, so like fight talk fight type thing, with having discussions by different groups) It’s kinda like all the previous villains (Dark Masters etc) all merged to form Venommyotism/ Venomvamdemon who is trying to take his revenge. Or something. It’s a little vague. Roll with it. But since that would be hard to make a pupper out of, Etemon just digivolves to King Etemon. It’s so weird because they take off his head???
He struggles with Etemon and eventually Etemon turns into the villain (Venom is just shown on the walls as a projection) and Greymon can’t do much since Venom is too fast/strong, so he digivolves to MetalGreymon. Being in the front row meant I was blast with a lot of icy smoke/fog, which was fun but also… smoke ;;;
Anyway, he still struggles until Yamato comes along with MetalGarurumon. They get their shit together and Omegamon comes out. The Omegamon puppet isn’t the best. It’s from the shoulders up, but it looks slightly too cartoony. Taichi and Yamato stand on his shoulders and end up beating the villain (duh).
Everyone and everything is back to normal, but everyone realises they’re suddenly in their uniforms again. It turns out that everything from when they were wearing casual clothes was a bug. I guess like in the Digital World… sort of? It’s kinda written off as ‘just a dream’. It happened, so everything is canon, but it wasn’t in the digital world but it wasn’t in our world so time was behaving differently.
Yes.
That means Jyou has to do his test again.
