So uhh
I'm going to be prioritizing my art for a while because I really want to start doing comics and stuff as well
and while I feel I have writing down to at least somewhere I can solidly say it's decent, I don't feel the same with my art at all.
This isn't me saying I'm stopping writing, I think I'll be able to continue to keep up w/ Friday fics, I'm just saying that I might sometimes have to skip a week, or it'll be on a different day
y'know I actually don't know why I'm telling you guys this but uh
yeah<3

Sorry if this information is already out there, but how much is the Patreon price for an episode review? I looked around but I didn't see a price mentioned (I'm assuming because it's not listed right now due to you not taking more requests atm) but I'd really like to see an 8 issue comic story that I just recently read reviewed, and I'm hoping to snag a slot when it next becomes available. I was just curious how much I'd need on hand for the payment.
That... is a very good question.Indeed, the slot is not shown right now because requests are closed. However, it will be reopening in the fall. That being said, I'm planning on making some changes. One of the problems I ran into with it was that people could request a review and then leave the slot immediately - mostly because my Patreon has pay immediately enabled (as opposed to only charging people at the beginning of the month). And normally that's not a problem - sometimes I need additional cash and asking people to swap out of the slot was a good way to get around that......but that also meant that a CRAPTON of Patreon reviews went through. More than I ever really wanted. Some people actually held onto the slot for a whole year so they could make sure to get a second request in (since I limit it to one request per year per person). That helped slow down the flow of requests, but it's a rare thing. The original cost was $80 for a review, so if someone could afford to pay $960 for a whole yeah, I wasn't exactly going to stop them. But yeah, that's an exception rather than a rule. It's likely two things are going to happen with the new rules I implement, that I'm always open to suggestions: the price will be set lower, say $50 or the like... but you can't leave after paying. You have to wait until the next month's charge comes around (so you're actually paying $100, just in two payments). The only other alternative is to raise the price much higher so it's harder for people to get the slot, but I also don't want to gatekeep the slot only for those who can afford such a luxury. Seems kinda douchy. That being said, I'd probably ask for a different request anyway, since there will also be another new rule concerning the Patreon requests: length restrictions. The JLA/Avengers episode was only 4 issues... but each issue was 40 pages with a crapton of content. While that's a rarity, it's still more like I was looking at 8 issues and I ended up needing to have a two-part episode for it. It's a TON more work for me to do and frankly more than I ever wanted to take on. There's a reason why I normally limit my reviews to only one or two issues at a time - I CAN fill up a regular episode's worth of material from a single comic, but the more content people ask me to cover, the harder it is. I'm not necessarily going to say no to your request when it happens... but bear in mind that I do have my limits and I might say no, but it's something to worry about only when I actually reopen requests. =)
