I was honestly expecting the most romantic season of tv I'm not kidding bc what do you mean soulmates who are separated by a love curse that's such an incredibly good plot, the stuff of dreams ships never get. But let's be real they kinda botched it, no matter how it turns out, we had half a season where they barely interacted and we're never going to see their big moments together and them being madly in love and solving crimes together and protecting each other and moving in together and getting engaged( I had this wish that it would be Nancy who proposes bc it would be such a big thing coming from her and for ace to see someone actually want that with him, it would mean so much growth for both of them). Now all we can hope for is they don't slap us with Tristan and Nancy as soulmates, give us as many moments of them together and give us a flashforward of their happily ever after ..

I was expecting that too, especially after the first 3 swoonworthy episodes of the season. I thought, this is THEIR season. But boy, did it go downhill fast. Episode 4 had NO Nace interactions, and then 5-7 just had painful ones (how many times did they break up again?). Episode 8 seemed promising...but then 9 and 10 ruined it again with no interactions. Now we're heading into episode 11 with both Nancy and Ace seemingly falling for their new supernatural love interests and it's like WHAT? With only 3 episodes left to go? Make it make sense!

Obviously, they were hoping for a season 5, and they wrote the season with that in mind. But that tells me if we had gotten a season 5, this still would've been dragged out well into next season. So the only solace I can take with all this is that it's a good thing they found out the show was canceled before they finished writing the final episode. Because if it had been canceled after, then the series would've ended with Nace not together. And even if it had been renewed for a season 5, with the writers/actors on strike for who knows how much longer, there's a chance next season would've eventually gotten cancelled anyway, or it would have at least extended a Nace endgame for another year or more. This way, although it's going to be rushed af, we're still going to end the series with the knowledge that Nancy and Ace are together and in love.

I am hopeful we'll get a little flash-forward epilogue that might show Nancy and Ace married, or at least engaged. Bonus points if they show us one of them proposing. I'm just not sure how they would fit that into the finale, but it's really all I want at this point. I'm so sad that so many opportunities were wasted this season (that should have been NACE slow dancing!). This was supposed to be their season to shine. And it started out so promising! I have no idea how or why they lost sight of the plot so heavily, but they did. And I know some people will say, "You know, this show isn't just about Nace" and while that's true, once you make your titular character and another main character star-crossed lovers and add in something like a curse keeping them apart, you're kinda making them the main focus—especially when you drag it out until the very end. So, it's understandable that a lot of us are solely focusing on Nace and how disappointed we are. We expected more. We deserved more. But that's just my opinion.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 2024 is even a little optimistic in terms of a release for Stranger Things 5.

I know right now there's been this assumed expectation that it will release in 2024, and that's definitely still possible! But from what we've seen, no one from the production, neither the Duffers, the cast, nor Netflix themselves have said 2024 will be the year s5 releases, definitively. (If I remember correctly, when asked in an interview about s5 coming out in 2024, Noah dodged the question and said that they want it to be really good and are going to try to get it out as soon as they can... if anything he was trying to hint here that fans should be prepared that it might not be 2024, but that's okay bc that means that quality is being considered over a speedy release).

Again there have been talks about it, and I'm sure that's what they're shooting for. But they don't seem to be making any official statements about 2024 being a for sure thing. Because I mean, how could it be?

Covid did a really big number on the industry, especially production for ST4. Not only that but workers are starting to unionize and fight back against long hours, shitty wages and unsafe working conditions.

And so there's this unknown looming. Could the global pandemic reach a point that causes the industry to come to a halt again? Could there be a strike that stops productions from filming, including ST5? There's just a lot of unforeseen factors to keep in mind.

Our perception of how fast shows should be cranking out between seasons, are from a rose-tinted lens and honestly a little bit naive. We're not taking into account that those same expectations we have are based on an industry that has thrived off of malpractice for decades.

So, would I be mad if ST5 came out in 2025? No.

Also important to note that this is the end. I know that a lot of fans are impatient and just want the final season ASAP, but even so, when we do get it, it's over after that. There's nothing else to look forward to for fans when it comes to these characters. Arguably, hiatus will be the time we'll look back on and miss most when this is all over. So enjoy theorizing and analyzing during the wait while you still can!

And again, let's keep in mind, a sooner release means they might have to rush and make quick decisions that impact the story negatively, with them settling for results that could have been better had they had more time. Whereas a later release, or at least later than we may have hoped, will probably mean they got the essential time they needed and therefore a lot better quality for the final cut.

David Harbour said late last year that filming will start in the summer. Noah just mentioned a few times recently that he starts filming in May. But it was also mentioned in an interview promoting WYFSTW with Finn that filming would be starting in March.

Who knows for sure right now, it'll probably require us getting closer to the start to know. But the good news is once filming starts, they'll tell us! However, this does bring up an important aspect of all of this that fans also don't seem to take into consideration, which is scheduling.

The main cast are all hot commodities now, with most of them having multiple productions to film in one single year. And so, imagine trying to get about a dozen A-B listers schedule's to overlap? It's not easy.

Though from what I've read, David is dealing with schedule issues because he's filming another movie at the same time as s5. And Noah specifically mentioned school being a factor when he brought up filming starting in May for him. And so it's possible overall production for s5 could be starting sooner than we think, with some main cast-members starting earlier/later than others.

I think the main good news (everyone cheer) is that we have no new characters for s5. And so I think that will allow filming to take a little less time. S1 was a lot smaller scale in terms of the characters focused on, with production going from September 2015 to early 2016 and with a release in July that same year. But s1 was also very very small scale in comparison to what s5 will be. While filming for s5 will definitely be shorter than s4 in terms of over overall running time, it'll still be longer and just in general bigger than s1.

I'm gonna take an educated guess and say at least 9 months for filming s5, but it's possible they could run up to a year because of scheduling issues, unexpected delays, unforseen events, with some cast-members potentially working earlier/later than the majority of the production. Best case scenario, filming could be done by December 2023, and that's taking into account filming may indeed not start fully until May 2023. This would give them roughly 8-10 months of filming.

And that's not even including post-production for VFX, which is likely going to take upwards of 6 months at least, because the upside down is expected to be a main setting for the story in s5, meaning a lot more time spent working on visual effects despite filming already being complete. Then there's editing and all that good stuff. And don't even get me started on marketing (they're watching us rn taking notes for ST5 social media promo... Smile and wave boys!)

Again, I do think 2024 is possible, though it would have to be later in 2024. Summer 2024 is still a little too optimistic, but I wont rule it out bc they love summer releases.

March 22nd on the other hand, is very much pushing it, as they'd only be like 2 months into VFX at that point.

Though, I could see the vision of this, assuming it released in 2025 (lands on a Saturday that year, but still according to new theories March 21st is potentially an important date related to Henry/Vecna and it's the day s4 started the story off, so that's possible!)

March 21st 2025 would be my ideal date if they had to push it further out to a 2025 release. And that is a big possibility, which is why I think they're not out here comfortably sticking to a year right now.

It's also likely that when we find out the official year of release, we'll get a poster potentially or some kind of short teaser hyping up the final season.

ST5 2025 is kind of iconic. But I guess we'll just have to see!

Even though I don't think March 22nd 2024 is possible, it would be cool to get some major news on that day, like an exact release date for the final season maybe? That would be birthdaygate proof in and of itself.

Okay I'm ngl I actually like that they're showing buck and Eddie trying things out with Natalia and Marisol? Bc buddie supremacy, obviously, but also -

They need to figure out what they need in a partner; they need to figure out what they DON'T need/want - and they need to figure it out by *experiencing other potential partnerships*

And honestly, they both need a relationship that doesn't end with a bang or a car crash or a ghosting or some other trauma 😂 buck and Eddie both need some sort of normal relationship precisely so they can see just how *not normal* their own relationship is!

(Also Natalia and Marisol are both so fucking adorable I love them and honestly I am not mad at seeing more of them this episode tho I'll be surprised if we see them in the new season whenever it picks up bc I will be very surprised if the writers go the route of either relationship lasting super long, and with the strikes, who knows how long hiatus/the time skip will end up being)

YES, I totally agree anon! it is a good thing for them to get to test the waters so to speak on what they want out of a relationship and a partner and who they want to be in a relationship themselves now that they are both settling into a new kind of freedom when it comes to being themselves (Buck setting more boundaries and being less willing to settle just to be in a relationship and Eddie going for what he wants instead of what he thinks Christopher needs) and they maybe need to do that in healthy relationships that don't have any deeper issues that overshadow that journey 🙈

afdjlkhskljd I feel like we haven't really seen enough of either of them for me to say more than that both of them seem sweet, but yeah, I am very curious to see IF we will get to see more of them before the respective break-ups, but I think we'll get at least something, because they'll need at least some substance to these relationships to make the break-ups meaningful plotwise I guess? but we'll see, for now I am trying very hard not to think about the hiatus length too much xDD

There's this thing about the strike: all we know is that 90% sure no new shows in the fall but everyone kinda "knows" and expect them to get a deal by august/september at most. Some networks may try to push a couple episodes by november for smaller shows, but I don't think this would be ABC's case (they could have episodes done by november but no one releases before mid january). They knew about the strike since march so everyone was aware of it before the hiatus (zoanne was talking about a shortened season in april 😬).o

I agree that they set a lot of options but it also depends on GA's timeline, both shows ended with injuries related cliffhangers that need to be adressed so either it starts right were they ended or they move forward and show us flashbacks (i'm going with flashbacks bc they are gonna need timejumps and dynamics). So for Carina I would accept getting a timejump and seeing her already pregnant (and lbh, the IVF journey would be boring for the general public as in been 2 seasons of them trying). Being honest I want pregnancy+ baby in this season even if its kinda rushed as we have waited for so long

Yeah at this point I would be happy with having the show back by January...I don't expect anything earlier. Of course the priority is the writers getting what they're asking for and deserve but someone had told me they heard not to expect Station 19 back until April and just the thought of that is so 😭😭 that's still 10 months away!!! I mean even if they hopefully get a deal done by Aug/Sept the writers haven't been working on anything so it would be a quick turnaround to have scripts ready and episodes filmed by January...even if it's just some of them...but who knows. Just hope everything gets figured out soon.

I think flashbacks will be the way to go so that they aren't just stuck picking up right where they left off...neither cliffhanger was that climatic anyways so they could just show some stuff that we would've missed after skipping however much time it's gonna be for both shows. It would've been nice to see them do the IVF process from the start instead of the nonsense we had to suffer through in 5B because it's very rare to see that kind of thing shown on television but yeah, they've already spent way too much time on the planning/process and they absolutely need to have Carina pregnant at the minimum this season and they should even have the baby by the end of it because it's all been dragged out too long at this point. It would be nice to see flashbacks here and there of stuff along the way of the pregnancy journey depending on when they decide to pick up the show and if Carina is already pregnant when they do but we'll see how they do it.

Night 1 has been good. I’ve talked to 2/3 of the people on my team. I haven’t spoken to Isaiah yet since he is a late addition and I think at work (I just know he said he couldn’t talk until later). But I got along with him well in Sunset Rodeo, I just hope he is more active here because I would like to actively work with him. I’m really not feeling these small teams tho bc that’s scary since there are so few options so you gotta make sure you’re talking with everyone consistently. I just hope everyone on my team resists the temptations and gives all their items up so we can remain safe and get the reward. Based on the other seasons I can see the crystal kingdom team losing bc Shane was a villain and I can see him continue that. Overall this is a good cast and there are a good amount of people I want to work with, let’s just hope that they want to work with me as well. For now that’s all...stay litty.

Hello from the mystical beyond, ooooooooooOOOooOOoOOoOOOOOOooohhhhhh... Ghost Team. Way cool. The first season of Tumblr Survivor I ever played had a similar twist and I'm geeking out over how full circle this is. Love love love it. Truly #blessed. So, night one and my team has already chatted a bit, had a call to sort out the challenge, and enough time has passed since that I feel comfortable giving point-form thoughts. Daisy: INCREDIBLY cool. Been a long while since I've clicked with anyone this naturally off the bat. We made a few dumb jokes pre-call, kept up the good vibes during, geeked out over music afterward. Not someone I see myself writing down soon. Lily: Seems pleasant, and not only happy but eager to take on the team leader role. I stepped back and let her take the reins but I have to admit that I'm very worried on this challenge because of it — more below. As a person, Lily strikes me as sweet. I'll have to make a point of discussing Sea of Thieves with her because she mentioned playing it, and I've been playing more recently with some buddies. Luke: Didn't get to chat tons, but I like what he's putting down. Seems almost happy-go-lucky, but with a definite ability to shift gears and be a pain when the situation calls for it. I like him so far and hope our conversation evolves past our respective geographies, but it's hard to fault him for it when we linked up at about 2 a.m. his time. Lydia: Aw, I love Lydia! We've got a history in games, mostly good. But she also knows I'm good and I know they're good. I suspect it won't be long before that's out and one of us needs to cut the other to get further. If Lydia cuts me, no beef no qualms. I'd hope the same in the inverse. But my intent is to run as far as we can together. Challenge: Nervous. I made a point of immediately mentioning the time tiebreaker and how it may benefit us to just dump everything. It's something I've seen before where a similar challenge happened, and only one or two people took things, making them an obvious target. So if the same pattern follows here... we're all but assured to be going to pirate council. Lily was very assertive in deciding that we should keep powers. Since then, I've heard from Lydia and Daisy suggesting they may just abandon everything, which I'd be SO happy to hear. Even if we do go, though, I THINK I'd be okay on this team? idk everyone seems chill. Ugh this is already more than I wanted to write. Sorry I promise I won't write walls of text every single time! I'm going to break that promise, I bet.

I really enjoyed getting to know my teammates and hope we crush the other teams :))

This 4-teams twist is Rough with a capital UGH. Nowhere to hide, no new people to really get to know. Pair that with a challenge that doesnt promot teamwork and incites drama I am concerned. However so far my team has been pretty chill, talking openly about what we want to keep. Bonus this has led to me and Matt talking a lot and I think he might have formed a duo? Still tentative, who knows if hes saying the same thing to giraffez or Chris, but hopeful. We’re considering talking the half votes, this would mean at any pirate we would have the majority. However now the questions comes up about whether we tell the others.

Isaiah still isn't really around and I messaged him and nothing so far. We asked in the team chat if he had submitted and radio silence. I know during Sunset Rodeo he had a busy work schedule so I am assuming that is the case right now, but I hope he at least submitted for this challenge and that we are safe from pirate council. If we're not...welp I guess he is at risk.

We're safe wooo!!! But damn people took stuff. I wanted to be safe so I said here take all my shit so we get the damn points, but I guess these bitches are a bit greedy. Am I shocked though...no, because that is part of the challenge, people will take shit. Do I think it will help them...also no, because it's truly not game changing items and there still seems to be a bit left to do for the idol hunt than these items will provide.

With the writers strike everything is pretty up in the air right now and we know season 7 is gonna be shorter bc of it. I think if they did go through the ivf process they may have to speed it up. In my head what would make sense is that we see some of the beginning stages in 7a and then there is a time jump between a and b where carina is pregnant and then maybe she might have it a little early or something for drama. I cant imagine there being much of a time jump between season 6 and 7 same with greys as there are 2 characters on the brink of death and going off what Stefania said they always have to align the 2 shows. It would feel a bit rushed if they went for adoption but I'm not completely against the idea I'm not too bothered either way although it's interesting what stef said at the con but from what I gathered she has no idea what's gonna happen and probably won't for a while. They kinda just need to speed this baby thing up bc it's getting a bit ridiculous now and we know dani wants to show them as parents and she might not get it. As ACA said (cant remember when) there is a chance season 7 might be the the last especially as greys is going into its 20th and is struggling views wise. I really cant see station going without greys but we'll see. I dont think I'd be to bothered if greys ended it stopped being interesting for me years ago and 20 season is insane but with station I think there is so much they can still do with the show. I mean I'm still holding out for a carina backstory (I'm a clown dont worry I know), they can bring in some new firefighters as they still have alot of there original cast and season 6 of great is where things started to change, they also built up andy being captain for 6 season so imagine if she only actually got to be captain for 1 shortened season😂 if it does end I'm just hoping for some closure on maya's captaincy and she'll get her justice and a job somewhere else bc she deserves it

Yeah I think the baby situation is all going to depend on how long the season is and when the season premieres. Yes Station 19 and Greys have to align at some point but they can both still do time jumps and have flashbacks to fill in gaps and tell us what happened with the cliffhangers. Lets be honest, both cliffhangers were underwhelming anyway lol. But yeah, serious progress needs to be made with this baby storyline in Season 7 no matter how long it is because it's long overdue at this point.

As for if Station 19 will last after Greys ends, I'm not sure. I know most people think it probably won't but it would be such a waste if they didn't let it stand on its own. It's been doing better in the ratings the last two years now and it has so much potential if the writers just used the characters properly but consistency has always been an issue there. Who knows though, maybe they will still give it a run now with different showrunners and what not.
