Commemorating the 57th Anniversary of the debut of the Batman TV series, my article on "The Real Comic Book Origins of The Batman ’66 TV Series": "The problem is, they didn’t actually adapt the Carmine Infantino Batman that I (and other fans of the current comics) were expecting/hoping to see on our screens. Leave us never forget the immortal FRANK GORSHIN as THE RIDDLER in the Batman TV series' debut 2-parter that aired January 12-13, 1966--and the series really never got better than that first 2-parter, because it became the template that Producer Dozier churned out pale imitations of the rest of the show's run, running it into the ground within 2 years!
