09.ㅤ| ㅤㅤetiquetteㅤ : ㅤ don't godmod my muse. small things are welcomed. daemon is a trained knight and one of the most skilled in the realm by standards, even when he nears his fifties, he is still a formidable foe. he is however, very much human but if your muse wants to hurt him psychically, you need to let me know i just want to be given a heads up if you will ever do a thing to hurt them. i assure you, i will not mind if plotted. [as well, don't assume ships with me unless we are friends].

10.ㅤ| a song of ice and fire : ㅤ the world of a song of ice and fire involves death, gore, betrayal, medieval like talks, fantasy talk as well mentions of incest, all will be present so keep this in mind. myrcella herself is the product of incest and there will be mentions of it.

11.ㅤ| changes: ㅤhere are a few of the changes regarding my alicent from show and even book. if you don't like, don't follow. and if you do, please respect the choices.

alicent' age is closer to the book, so she is older than rhaenyra and 19/20 when she marries viserys. she is more of a companion than a friend to rhaenyra but she is fond of her.

alicent and rhaenyra start on friendly terms as stepmother and stepdaughter but eventually grow bitter through the times and court schemes.

this depends of the daemon I roleplay with, but the rumor mushroom mentions that alicent was deflower by daemon I will take it as part of my own backstory, it won't be mention unless the other part agrees but it is there for my alicent.

alicent is a victim who turns into a victimizer. she didn't really heard what viserys said while dying, aware of his use of the milk of the poppy, regardless, she used that in advantage to put aegon on the throne.

the marriage with viserys was political but it was not a bad one. through it and viserys illness she learned to take more control over herself and aware of the court desire for a male heir.

With a decaf skinny chocolate mocha 1 pump of sugar free syrup in one hand and his phone in the other, he looked at the woman who had approached him in the street. The words came out of her mouth in what seemed like the right order but something about them did not register with his sleep deprived brain. “Oh… okay” he blinked a few times before finding a wall to place the items he was holding and assess the situation. “He's not my... anyway. Bruce has not spoken about you before”. It wasn't uncommon for desperate people in the middle of a mental health epidemic in Gotham to come out with similar statements but Dick couldn't take the sincerity in her words. “Nice to meet you” he offered his hand and looked into her eyes, his detective mind was working constantly, watching her micro expressions and body language for clues. “Are you… in touch with your brother?” he asked intrigued at what her response could be.

Look I’m enjoying all this talk of Blue Morpho, and speaking of him being bi.

Tbh I have a rareship: Blue Morpho(Vendata)/Red Death.

Red Death is like the first and only person to show real respect or any positive feeling for Vendata at all, and that just gets to me.

Okay tbh I’ve sorta shipped this since season 6, just through the vaguest of hints and because it sounded interesting to me.

In season 6, it mainly revolves around some vague indications that Red Death could’ve known the original Blue Morpho.

It’s indicated that Red Death’s been around a while, maybe even long enough to have known Blue Morpho. That’s about it, an indication leading to fun speculation.

But then there’s the fact that Red Death goes straight to the Morpho cave not long after he gets involved with the Blue Morpho case and the false threat to his wife and daughter. Nothing has still been made of this in canon, but it’s like Red Death simply knew the Morpho’s base of operations the whole time. (It may just be glossed over, but it’s fun to speculate, and good for fic.)

Red Death does seem like a generally chill and nice dude--but I sorta feel like he does have a soft spot for Monarch in S6. And like that feeling’s grown stronger after S7--to me it felt like Red Death had a particular soft spot for Monarch and his group--Gary/21, Dr. Mrs. (Granted, I also think he’s interacted with them the most so far? But also if that’s the case, that could say something too.)

Like in S6, Red Death first gives Monarch just a warning. Though a little threatening warning, it’s still relatively mild, and preceded by genuine praise for Monarch’s antagonist work (something he rarely gets). Red Death later takes it remarkably easy on the Monarch and 21 for their Blue Morpho and Kano activities, and even helps them out with advice and literal action (though he says it helps sate his violent instincts too--chill and nice dude he may be, but also still vicious, but I find that an interesting mix and fitting for VB.)

In S7, that continues, Red Death still actively helps Team Monarch--there’s no direct interaction between him and the Monarch again this season unfortunately, but Red Death is still helping him and Gary, and now Dr. Mrs. too, in the S7 premiere. Red Death seems to bond further with Dr. Mrs. in a later S7 episode later as they become co-workers on the Council, and seems to partly screw with that rival villain guy because he insulted her.

I’m just saying maybe Red Death starts with a soft spot for Monarch and his group (and later seems to just bond with them more directly and more for their sakes) because he knew Blue Morpho back in the day.

And I headcanon Blue Morpho and Red Death fell into one of those possibilities in VB that’s cropped up--protagonist and antagonist on surprisingly good terms. Morpho was an unregistered vigilante and prone to being harsher with antagonists, but headcanon he wasn’t unreasonable, and could be more civil with those he felt could do that too. Headcanon Red Death has some different opinions in VB and could successfully navigate those with tact and such--shorter story, unlike most in organized supervillainy, headcanon Red Death would have respected and been fascinated by Morpho’s refusal to register.

Headcanon Red Death does figure out Morpho’s identity, but he likes Morpho enough to not take advantage of that and keep it a secret. He tells no one.

Headcanon Blue Morpho and Red Death did have a thing for a while, before Blue Morpho ever met his future wife. Think something like Batman/Catwoman conceptually. But they did amicably separate, and then Morpho got married, while Red Death remained fond of him, and still held something of a torch tbh, but was respectful of Morpho to never push it.

And again, season 7--with the reveal that Red Death worked with Vendata and respected him, which just made me ship it way harder, even though I believe Red Death had no idea Vendata was Blue Morpho until season 7.

Like on a visceral level, it was so nice to hear someone speak of Vendata with respect when I’ve had to hear a lot of the Guild--looking at you Red Mantle and Dragoon, you two honestly crack me up, but omfg why so mean to Vendata jfc you didn’t even know he was Blue Morpho until S7--insult him for what seems like no reason. I think Red Death was the only one to say anything directly positive about Vendata.

So, S7 had Red Death and Vendata working together. And I keep thinking, how long?

I think S7 diner flashback tries to have Red Death as a sort of young upstart, so you’d think he’d be too young for Blue Morpho’s time. But S6 indicated an older age for him in my mind, and S7 later gave me vibes of Red Death being quite old, with his talk of older villain traditions. And what is Red Death? Again, he’s like this sketetal skinned man--he seems more demonic if anything. He does seem to have supernatural powers, and that horse he rides on? I headcanon Red Death is not quite human, rather supernatural, long-lived, and that his mind may age differently (along with probably seeing the world even more differently from others in VB). Hence he may act more like a young upstart in the diner flashback though he’s actually far older. Heck, maybe so old and with a certain distance from average humanity, maybe he was like, “I’ll just go along with what seems to be the trend these days for this current stab at villainy.” Like he’s such an otherly being, he actually approaches it like another role to play, which could say something about the themes of roleplay in VB (Red Death even talks about “becoming lost in your character” in S6--so Red Death does imply his awareness of and use of roleplay like that). I can see him being this literally otherly being and approaching his supervillainy in like stages during his long life--literally here’s his 70s stage, and here’s his being-on-the-Council stage. (But his wife and daughter inspire new feelings in him. And feeling like he’s otherly doesn’t mean he’s not nice and chill--heck, it could be more why he’s like that. He may be more chill than other humans because he isn’t entirely one. That’s part of what does feel otherly to me tbh--how chill he is.)

After that aside:

Headcanon that maybe Vendata and Red Death worked together for a while. Like Red Death expresses respect for him in the diner, but he doesn’t go into the entirety of their relationship because the current context doesn’t ask for it, and it’s still private.

Red Death has no idea Vendata was Blue Morpho. He does look different without his mustache, and Red Death believed the news of his death. The only similar thing Red Death recognizes without learning the truth for years is that Vendata stirs feelings similar to what he felt for Morpho.

(Headcanon Red Death was aware of Malcom, but thought he should leave him alone with normal people in child care services, assuming he would be taken care of. Red Death was at least aware that Blue Morpho did not want his son near the world of superheroes and supervillains, and wanted to honor those wishes.)

Vendata feels some familiarity for Red Death, but no memories really trigger. But that familiarity feels comfortable, and draws Vendata to Red Death.

Headcanon that Red Death helps Vendata enter supervillainy, and they work together for a relatively long time, they’re allies. They become friends, and more.

Then the Massacre.

I think S7 implies Red Death was disturbed by the Massacre, especially the loss of his own comrades; and I think it implies that Red Death believed Vendata was the ultimate culprit.

Headcanon there was even more to it, like Red Death will only let some of the above out in public, but internally he was far more disturbed by the whole thing. He was really distraught over the loss of Stab Girl and the others. He thought Vendata had caused the Massacre that ended up including Stab Girl and their other allies as collateral damage. Red Death blamed him for it. On some level, Red Death does respect Vendata’s determination to kill the object of his extreme hatred, Jonas; but more strongly, Red Death feels betrayed and disgusted with what he thinks Vendata did to their team for that goal.

Communication breaks down. Red Death strongly believes Vendata is responsible, that he hated Jonas enough to do this. He never actually talks to Vendata about it. He does feel the need for it; but it’s an emotional time, Red Death is emotionally distraught, and in that state is turned off by Vendata’s lack of emotion. He knows Vendata has trouble showing it, but at that point Red Death has less patience for it and more revulsion. Red Death is further repulsed when Vendata seems to be confused by Red Death’s behavior--Red Death storms off, feeling that Vendata should know. Should realize why he’s upset.

Red Death believes Vendata did it, doomed their friends and allies to kill Jonas, and assumes Vendata is aware of what he thinks. But Vendata has no idea. Vendata does have trouble processing emotion because of the whole cyborg thing, and not being a very well built cyborg due to Jonas and later Dr. Z. Vendata feels the loss of Stab Girl and the others and sees Red Death is distraught, but has trouble being the most comforting presence, and has no idea he should be denying something or the real source of Red Death’s turmoil and anger with him.

Red Death leaves Vendata. Between his respect and lingering fondness and understanding of hatred and knowing they were in a dangerous line of work, Red Death would not take direct revenge on Vendata, he couldn’t. But he couldn’t stay with him either.

Vendata accepts this, without fully understanding why.

Vendata and Red Death just drift further away and remain apart in the years after the Massacre. Red Death meets and falls in love with his future wife, has a daughter, and feels like he understands Morpho better.

Vendata joins the Council. And Red Death wonders what it would be like if he had a seat too. Time’s cooled his rage somewhat--and things are different now. Married, with kids. But things are different--Red Death feels more keenly how he’s drifted away from Vendata.

Red Death finally checks up on Malcom, and though he knows Morpho would have been distressed by it, he’s pleased that Malcom’s become a super villain.

When Vendata expresses a difficulty connecting with people and his Council members criticizing him for that, he does think of Red Death years ago.

Vendata and Red Death did get in touch a few times, only a few brief phone calls that were simply small updates of each other. Vendata did keep track of Red Death through Guild records. He felt happy when the records changed to reflect Red Death’s marriage, though also a little sad. (It wasn’t just regret over an ex--memories of Red Death from his time as Blue Morpho, memories of his wife were almost triggered. Almost, but not quite. Just vague feelings behind that stirred, but not memories.)

Headcanon that when Red Death realizes Vendata was Blue Morpho the whole time, he thinks “ohfuck.”

Yeah, so, I ship it. Also I find that I could literally shorten a name for it to Red/Blue cute.

Dream Daddy/Mummy

Written by @saintlyguy who was inspired by a dating sim called “Dream Daddy.”

*Warning - Imminent cuteness ahead!*

Ada: The bumbling mom who’s first priority is to protect her child. Although Ada is fully capable of looking after her child and teach them common sense, she’s not the best cook or cleaner. When she’s not extinguishing the oven fire she started, she’d ask help from her neighbor Codsworth, even for babysitting while she works as an arithmetic (probably for NASA to uncover some hidden figures). Although her house isn’t the most organized place, Ada provides a safe environment for her child despite her doubts and flaws.

Cait: At first, she’d have cold feet; to think she of all people could raise a child on her own. She would need to gradually warm up to the idea, at first being frustrated with providing food and bed for two. Despite her callous personality, Cait would refrain from yelling at her child and forbid herself from laying a hand on them. Coming from abusive parents, Cait would want to be the caring mother she never had. She would need PLENTY of help from Nate/Nora, considering they’re much more experienced in parenting as well as etiquette. That means less drinking (few shots a week don’t hurt), stop getting into (as much) fights and to cut back on swearing. Overtime with assistance of her friends and a swear jar, you could see Cait walking through Sanctuary Hills with her kid in hand. Eventually she would begin to teach them how to fight. She would kinda be like Black Canary in the Injustice series.

Curie: The apex mother; plenty of love, hugs, kisses, cuddles and snuggles. Her child would be pampered emotionally and prepared educationally. Curie would homeschool her child, so well that they will most likely study abroad on scholarships. Mama Curie will always ensure that her child eats healthy, properly maintains hygiene and above all feel as if they can always turn to her for anything. She would do the “Get Out” challenge across a playground in order to kiss her child’s boo-boo. Whenever her child accomplished a feat, no matter how small (especially during potty-training) they would be met with a small applause and a kiss on the forehead. Mama shines especially when taking care of her sick child. “Rest mon cher, Mama will nurse you back to health.” No doubt her child will grow up into a reflection of her selflessness.

Danse: Military dad. Disciplining his child so that they could be much better and stronger than he is. Also the dad to walk around in buttoned shirts with rolled up sleeves. He’d be especially involved in his child’s health and well-being. Willing to spend any expense for his child’s pursuits, so long as he finds them practical and morally sound. An example would be when he closed the door on a recruiter from CIT. “Damn Institute.” Despite his mildly overprotectiveness, Danse’s child will always have a shoulder to cry on; arms to hold them; a rock to lean on. As a baby his child would always be willing to sleep on his broad chest or be carried in a baby harness. Many admirers of him would envy the child for being the apple of his eye.

Deacon: The cool yet irresponsible dad. Always looking for creative ways to have fun with his child; taking them out to conventions, festivals, arcades and amusement parks. He would even go so far as to design his child’s room to their liking; if they love Batman, his child would be sleeping in their own Batcave. How does he afford all this? “Don’t you worry your little head, nothing’s too much when it comes to my little one.” However the father and child would always be covered in bandages, since safety isn’t always taken into account; like that time he dressed up as Bane so that his child could defeat him as Batman/woman, which ended with Deacon having a broken nose and a missing tooth.

Dogmeat: No one, NO ONE will ever harm his puppy. You looking to harm Pupmeat? You will hear the most intimidating snarls and barks in your life. Here’s a translation: “Motherfucker you lay a hand on my pup, I will bite your genitals and ass off. Afterwards my pup and I will tear up your skin. Afterwards, I’m gonna shit in your mouth and leave your corpse to the maggots.”

Gage: Similar to Cait, Gage would have no idea how to handle fatherhood. At first his only concern would be providing basic needs. After seeing how fussy his child can be without any attention, he began to take into account their wants. This would be annoying to Gage as he began to carry his child wherever he went. Soon he became a much more responsible father; telling bedtime stories and teaching his child what he knew. He would however know to give them space here and there so that “They don’t grow up to be a pussy.” As much as he loves his child, if they were to go do something stupid, he wouldn’t be afraid to throw his slipper at them.

Hancock: The ghoul would want to pass on his ideals of freedom onto his child in order to help improve the world, but first he would need to change the man in the mirror first. No more chems. For real. He’d ensure that the vices of Goodneighbor would not corrupt his child; they would be the diamond in the rough. His child would have much freedom in how they express themself; clothing, identity and interests. Anyone would dare bully his child would feel a knife poke into their back as they’re dragged back into an alleyway for a discussion. “‘Boys can’t wear dresses/ Girls can’t wear suits?’ You and I need to have a talk.”

Longfellow: The outdoor dad; type to shop at North Face or Bass Co. Wears fishing vests and hiking boots wherever, whenever. Not shy about drinking in front of his child, although he would hold off on sharing a drink until they’re 21. Takes his kid camping/hunting/fishing once a year. Takes a cross-country trip with an RV to see wonders of nature. He would want to raise his child out of a metropolitan area, probably somewhere like the frontier.

MacCready: Duncan would have someone to share his interests, be it Grognak comics or mutfruit. The lucky kid would always have someone to watch the latest Marvel movie with, sometimes even going in cosplay; their favorite by far is Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 2 (for obvious reasons for those who have seen it). MacCready is always willing to roleplay and even larp with Duncan, having plenty of cardboard to cut into whatever they need. Whenever he isn’t playing with Duncan, MacCready is out working his tail at two jobs; despite medical bills for Duncan, the father and son are able to live happily.

Nick Valentine (story time; Lego Batman reference!): After chasing a lead regarding the Mysterious Stranger, Nick returns to the agency for a new case in Far Harbor. Heading to the terminal, Nick researches a disappearance and how he’ll get there. “Fastest route to Far Harbor.” The terminal isn’t responding. “FASTEST ROUTE! Why isn’t this thing working?”

Dun dun duh! “Hello Mister Valentine. I’ve just taken away your terminal privilege.” GASP

“Lucky for me, I got a master password.”

“You mean “ellie_sucks.” Crap. “Nick, it’s time you start taking responsibility of your life and it starts by raising your daughter.”

“I’m sorry, I’m completely lost.”

“The young orphan you let in with you, she’s been living here for a while and I’m quite fond of her.”

“Well I don’t have time to watch a kid. Send her back to wherever she came. Or the orphanage if they still have any.”

“Mr. Valentine this will be great for you. Start getting you back with us socializing people. Let her into your life as you let me in.”

“As someone who doesn’t know how it feels to have a surrogate father, you shouldn’t be telling me how I should run my life, now lift the terminal lock.” Slyly, Ellie opens the door to allow the young girl in. “Ellie, what are you doing?!”

“Letting Piper into your life.”

“Don’t forget Nat!” a squeaky voice announced as the door closes behind Valentine’s new daughter. Wait. Daughters. Ellie may have let that detail slide.

Piper: Having an appropriate job to support her plus one family, she would live in a condo with her child and auntie Nat. Given her punctuality for news, Piper told the best bedtime stories; not ever needing to read from a storybook. Her child’s imagination would soar while their grammar and writing surpasses their classmates’. Nat would be competitive regarding who’s a better caretaker; Piper won this when she brought in Grandpa Valentine dressed up as Santa for Christmas. Eventually Nat will settle for second best; what child could resist Piper showering them with kisses and cooing “Who’s my little pearl? You are!”

Preston: A parent whose care almost rivals that of Curie, maybe even Nora/Nate. Preston would raise his child close to school, the park and their favorite restaurant. He’s the dad who would wear a funny apron while baking brookies for his child and their friends. He may not understand some of the songs his child enjoys, but he’ll put up with them so long as the songs aren’t derogatory; he was on the fence when his child would listen to The Fuxedos. Preston’s concern grew as his child grew. As much as his child understands, hearing “Another college needs your application” daily gets old.

Strong: The dad who wears the shirts that say stuff like “guns don’t kill, dads do.” Everybody wonders how the hell did anyone decide to have a kid with that guy. But they quickly change their minds when they see how Strong scared off some hoodlums with a single stare. He would always be the chaperone for his child’s school trips. Although he may not be that smart and has to use a flip phone, Strong makes up for it by providing safety for his child and their friends. Although no one dares to invite him to their barbeque, he’ll probably eat everything (but ensures to keep two whole steaks for his child.)

X6-88: Being cold on the outside and seemingly apathetic makes it hard to see X6 as a parent. None of his neighbors know his past, or where he gets his income, but this dad is able to provide organic meals for his child as well as get them pretty pricey outfits. Ever since they were a baby, X6’s child would wear gold Rayban aviators, similar to their father. X6 would ensure that his child’s posture and strut just exhausts power and regality. But what most people don’t realize, is that he doesn’t shy away from staycations in pajamas and having lightsaber fights with his kid once and awhile.

Nora/Nate: Fresh cookies baked in the afternoon, homemade costumes/cosplay, a robot butler and faithful dog. This household just gives off family vibes. Nora/Nate would ensure that Shaun would grow up into a person more grand than they are. They would be on top of everything Shaun is interested in. Their family would be the envy of Sanctuary Hills. If only.

Conrad Kellogg: Although this he scares most people, his wife and daughter, Sarah and Mary would feel safe in their bungalow near San Francisco. Although prefers to keep to himself and his family, Kellogg would always take his family out so that they may enjoy themselves and each other. But what’s secret to everyone, even to his family is a secret room where does some pretty shady business.

please read the below for a timeline of the events in dick’s life! it can also be found here, in the hidden links on the blog!

This is a timeline of events which reflect the life of the Dick Grayson that have been roleplaying since 2010.

The roleplays that I have had over the years have not affected the timeline.

After the Zero Hour event in 1994, Dick's birthday was established as the first day of spring. For me, I personally believe it to be 20th March. Please bare that in mind when reading my timeline.

1981

1. Richard John Grayson is born

1989

1. John and Mary Grayson are murdered

2. Dick celebrates his 8th birthday

3. Dick is placed in the juvenile services system, gets beaten

4. Dick is sent to a catholic orphanage

5. Bruce Wayne becomes Dick’s guardian, Dick becomes his ward

6. Dick moves into Wayne Manor

7. Dick tries to solve his parent’s murder, fails and is rescued by The Batman

8. Dick becomes Batman’s crime-fighting sidekick and names himself Robin

9. Dick swears an oath to never swerve from the path of righteousness

1990

1. After 6 months of gruelling training, Robin becomes a fully-fledged superhero and joins Batman’s side on the streets of Gotham and dons the title of The Boy Wonder

2. At the end of the year, Robin is fired and is put on the side lines for a further 3 months

3. Dick celebrates his 9th birthday

1991

1. Dick celebrates his 10th birthday

2. Robin teams up with Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl and Speedy

3. The sidekicks cure the Justice League of their mind control which results in the JLA supporting the kid-hero team

4. The Teen Titans are born, Robin is appointed the leader

1995

1. Dick celebrates his 14th birthday

2. Dick and Roy have an affair, Roy is in a relationship with Donna

3. Dick learns of Roy’s drug habits

4. Roy ends his affair with Dick after six months

1996

1. Dick celebrates his 15th birthday

2. Dick enters a relationship with Barbara Gordon

1997

1. Dick celebrates his 16th birthday

2. Dick and Roy have several secret one night stands

3. Dick quits the Teen Titans and the kid-hero team disbands

4. Dick continues to work solo and with the Batman as Robin

5. Dick develops in the shadow of Batman and finds himself lost

1998

1. Dick celebrates his 17th birthday

2. Barbara ends their relationship but they remain friends

3. Raven summons the old Teen Titans and three new kid superheroes

4. The Teen Titans reform and are known as the second Teen Titans

5. Dick enters a relationship with Kori, Starfire

6. Dick finds his self-worth again

7. Dick and Roy continue to have secret one night stands

1999

1. Dick celebrates his 18th birthday

2. Dick is shot in the shoulder by Joker and Bruce Wayne fires him again for his own safety

3. Dick quits the Teen Titans again and gives leadership to Donna, Wonder Girl

4. Dick decides he is not in love with Bruce Wayne and moves out of Wayne Manor and attends Hudson University

5. Dick turns to Superman for help with his identity

6. Roy ends their secret affairs

2000

1. Dick quits college

2. Bruce and Dick continue to argue about his future as Bruce does not support him quitting

3. Dick moves to New York City

4. Dick becomes Nightwing after hearing the story of a Kryptonian hero

5. Dick celebrates his 19th birthday

6. Dick rescues the Teen Titans with Jericho who have been captured by Deathstroke

7. Dick becomes the leader of the Teen Titans again with the new members included

8. Dick discovers that Bruce has a new ward and is training a new Robin, this leads to arguments and unresolved tension

9. Dick learns that the new Robin has died, leads to further unresolved tension between him and Bruce

2001

1. Tim Drake begs Dick to become Robin again

2. Dick suggests Tim become the new Robin and puts the case to Bruce

3. Tim Drake becomes the Robin

4. Dick celebrates his 20th birthday

5. Dick quits the Teen Titans and hands leadership to Arsenal

· He agreed that the Titans would work for the United States Government in exchange for having their pending lawsuits thrown out. While they retained a satellite base, they also took up residence in the Titans Liberty Island Base in New Jersey with a roster of Changeling, Donna Troy, Kyle Rayner, Damage, Impulse, Mirage, Terra, Supergirl, and Minion. The team disbanded when Sarge Steel cut their government funding

6. Dick fights solo as Nightwing in New York

2002

1. Dick celebrates his 21st birthday

2. The Teen Titans hit troubled times

3. With members dying, Dick remains at the core as Nightwing and is a rock for many superheroes in the world

4. Dick and Kori’s relationship is strained by the tragic events the Titans face

5. Dick and Roy almost have another affair when Roy exclaims his love for him

6. Dick rejects him on the grounds that the time is just not right for them and their relationship has been rocky from the start when in reality Dick is simply scared of falling in love with him

2003

1. Dick celebrates his 22nd birthday

2. Dick is needed in Gotham and this strains his relationship with Kori even more

3. Dick proposes to Kori and she says yes

4. They almost get married but Raven, reborn evil, brutally attacks Starfire

5. Starfire learns she has a demon seed inside her

6. Starfire ends the relationship with Dick and fleas Earth to return to her home planet after going on a solo spiritual journey

7. Dick has many one night stands for the remainder of the year with people not in the superhero community

8. Dick and Roy begin a proper relationship

2004

1. Dick learns that Bruce in out of action after Bane broke his back in half

2. Dick learns that Bruce has chosen a man to be the new Batman until Bruce can take his mantle back and he disagrees with the decision but trusts his judgement

3. Dick celebrates his 23rd birthday

4. Dick regrets his judgement call as the new Batman goes rogue

5. Bruce asks Dick to be Batman until they take out this imposter rogue Batman

6. Dick becomes Batman and teams up with Tim

7. Dick and Tim develop a wonderful relationship as brothers and Dick realises he should’ve made the same effort with the previous Robin

8. Dick becomes Nightwing again when Bruce makes his comeback after fully healing

9. Dick and Bruce begin to heal their conflicts and broken relationship

2005

1. Dick learns that Alfred has left the family and returned to London

2. Dick travels to London to convince Alfred to return and they successfully take down a militia group

3. Dick retires as a superhero believing he will turn into Bruce eventually

4. Dick tries to end his relationship with Roy as he believes he will hold Roy back now he isn’t a superhero but they stay together when Roy tells him he’s worth it

5. Dick learns who could’ve been responsible for his parents murder

6. Dick becomes Nightwing with a new and improved suit and learns he wasn’t the killer

7. Dick decides that being Nightwing is the right thing to do and realises why he can never quit being a superhero, he swears to be a superhero permenantly

8. Dick and Bruce reconcile and Alfred comes home.

9. Bruce adopts Dick as his son

10. Dick celebrates his 24th birthday

2006

1. Dick decides to be Bludhaven’s protector and Bruce is supportive of the idea

2. Dick moves to Bludhaven

3. Dick improves Bludhaven’s security but becomes a grimmer person for it and his outlook on superhero life changes

4. Dick celebrates his 25th birthday

5. Roy ends their relationship, not liking the new person Dick has become but will they remain close friends, occasionally friends with benfits

6. An android called Indigo hospitalises a third of the Teen Titans and Young Justice teams

7. Indigo accidentally releases a broken Superman robot from S.T.A.R. Labs

8. Nightwing co-ordinates the team to defeat the robot with Indigo on their side

9. The superman robot murders Donna Troy

10. Nightwing and the team defeat the robot

11. Nightwing fights with Roy and argues they can’t lose any more friends

12. Nightwing disbands the Teen Titans

13. Roy approaches Dick and they begin a new Team with people who they aren’t emotionally connected to

14. Dick and Roy start the Outsiders

15. Dick and Roy end their relationship of friends with benefits

16. After fighting in reaction to certain events, Dick changes the core of Outsiders and they become proactive hunters of crime and injustice rather than a reactionary team

17. Dick starts a relationship with Barbara Gordon

2007

1. Dick celebrates his 26th birthday

2. Dick has his first experience of killer guilt after contributing to Blockbuster’s death

3. Batman and Nightwing fight a new villain on the scene, Red Hood

4. Nightwing fights Red Hood but was unsuccessful in capturing him

5. Resurrected Donna Troy asks Dick to come with her to New Cronus with other superheroes but he rejects her

6. Dick dons a villainous persona and costume as Renegade and joins Deathstroke’s side

7. Dick infiltrates the Secret Society of Super Villains from the inside and attempts to take them down

8. Dick trains Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson and she becomes Ravager

2008

1. Dick celebrates his 27th birthday

2. Deathstroke betrays Dick by destroying Bludhaven with a super villain called Chemo who kills 100,000 people

3. Dick gets radiation poisoning whilst trying to rescue survivors and is rescued by Batman

4. Dick explains to Bruce his guilt over having a part in Blockbuster’s death. Bruce helps him get over this

5. Dick becomes inspired and realises how dark he has become since moving to Bludhaven

6. Instead of returning to his relationship with Roy like everyone thought he would, Dick proposes to Barbara and she accepts

7. They move in together in Gotham City

8. Dick teams up with Conner Kent to stop the Infinite Crisis

9. Superboy dies from preventing the destruction of the universe by blowing up Luthor’s Tower which contained both Superboy-Prime and Nightwing

10. Nightwing recovers and goes on a journey to find himself with Bruce and Tim

11. Barbara ends their relationship and gives the ring back on the basis that it’s not herself who Dick really loves. She tells him to go on the journey and come back a better man

12. Dick leaves the Outsiders and hands leadership solely to Arsenal

2009

1. After a year of fighting crime with Batman and Robin in Europe, they return to America

2. Dick returns to Gotham to find out who is masquerading as Nightwing

3. Dick learns that the fake-Nightwing is Jason Todd who is also Red Hood

4. Dick celebrates his 28th birthday

5. Dick takes back leadership of the Outsiders, they become a global crime fighting team and operate undercover

6. Dick and Roy re-start their friends with benefits relationship

7. In a solo mission, Dick follows a thief called Raptor.

8. Raptor is killed by an unknown contract killer and Nightwing is buried alive

9. Nightwing frees himself but can’t help wonder about a mysterious voice who told him he shouldn’t be alive and how it is connected to his experience

10. Dick is in a cast after breaking his arm when freeing himself

11. Dick attends a party with Bruce and their relationship flourishes

12. Dick continues to work on the Raptor case whilst also keeping a close bond with his brother Tim

2010

1. Dick distances himself from the Outsiders and hands the leadership to Batman

2. Dick reunites with the second Teen Titans formation to defeat the spawn of Trigon

3. Dick celebrates his 29th birthday

4. Dick and Roy start dating again

2011

1. Dick and Roy continue their relationship

2. Dick celebrates his 30th birthday

3. Dick helps Tim get over his grief of losing so many people over the last few years

4. Dick tries to help Jason Todd by explaining life is short but his help is rejected

5. Dick and Barbara discuss their relationship and are happy being friends

2012

1. Bruce takes his family to see the Olympics in London

2. Roy and Dick have a serious conversation about where they expect to be in the future

3. They continue their relationship and move in together

4. Dick celebrates his 31st birthday

5. Dick learns that Bruce Wayne has a ten year old son, Damian Wayne

2013

1. Nightwing discovers Batman is missing by finding his cape and cowl on the rooftop of Arkham Asylum

2. Dick unleashes frustrations on petty criminals when he discovers no one can find Bruce

3. Dick learns that Batgirl has a plan in place to create a team that can replace Batman

4. Dick doesn’t like the idea and tells her that he won’t let her put the plan in place

5. After a series of events based on Two-Face’s plots and ploys, Nightwing is injured

6. Nightwing heals and stops Two-Face from destroying half of Manhatten and Two-Face is sent to Arkham

7. Deborah Poulos, a friend Dick met whilst doing some bar work, convinces him to take up sky-diving as a way to release stress and tension

8. Dick sky-dives from the stratosphere and breaks several world records

9. Dick celebrates his 32nd birthday

10. Bruce Wayne’s apparent death causes a strain on Dick and Roy’s relationship

2014

1. Ra’s al Ghul contacted Nightwing from across and world

2. Nightwing travelled the distance and told him of Bruce Wayne death

3. Nightwing had a sword fight with Ra’s and won

4. Dick moves back to Gotham definitively which puts even more of a strain on his relationship with Roy who disagrees with his move

5. Nightwing resumes crimefighting in Gotham in memory of Bruce and rebuilds the Batcave

6. Dick celebrates his 33rd birthday

7. Dick starts to distance himself from Roy

8. Nightwing tries his best to keep crime at bay in Gotham

9. Azrael breaks into the Batcave to try and claim his rights to the mantle of the Bat

10. Nightwing defeats Azrael, returns him to his apartment and tells him he can keep fighting crime in Gotham

11. Nightwing battled Red Hood who was wearing his own version of the Batsuit with Damian who had donned his own contorted version of the Robin costume but Damian was shot in the chest

12. Nightwing returned to Wayne Manor with Damian but learned that Tim had left to Red Hood wearing his own version of the Batsuit

13. With Alfred’s help, Dick realised he was the only suitable candidate for the mantle of the Bat

14. Nightwing defeated Red Hood and took away the Batsuit.

15. Dick puts away his Nightwing suit and takes his place as Batman

16. Lucius Fox creates Dick a Batman suit of his own

17. Dick is approached by Talia who wants to leave Damian in his care

18. Dick moves into the Wayne Manor without Roy

19. Dick takes Damian in and becomes his guardian

20. Dick fights as Batman with Damian who becomes his Robin

2015

1. Dick tries to leave Roy again but is once more convinced by Roy that they can make it

2. Dick teaches Damian the fundamentals of caring and their relationship soon flourishes

3. Dick doesn’t support Tim’s obsession with believing Bruce is still alive and lets him leave for Europe

4. Dick celebrates his 34th birthday

5. Dick asks Stephanie Brown to become the new Batgirl and she does

6. Dick fights his resurrected parents during the Blackest Night crisis

7. Still in the crisis, Dick thinks he is resurrecting Bruce Wayne’s corpse but it turns out to be clone which he defeats before it kills Alfred

8. Dick realises Bruce must still be alive and aids Tim in finding him

9. In the aftermath of the crisis, Dick accepts the invitation to join the Justice League as Batman

10. Bruce Wayne makes his comeback and tells the world he has funded Batman since the very beginning

11. Dick says goodbye to Damian as Batman then becomes Nightwing once more

12. Dick moves back in with Roy in New York

2016

1. Haly’s Circus returns to Gotham

2. Dick leaves Roy for his own safety when an assassin called Saiko attacks him several times and claims Nightwing is the worst killer of all

3. Dick moves into his own apartment

4. Dick inherits the deed to Haly’s circus when C.C. Haly dies in his arms after revealing the circus has a dark secret

5. Dick starts a friends with benefits relationship with his childhood friend Raya Vestri

6. Dick attends a memorial show in honour of his parents death but the main tent was blown up by Saiko

7. Dick learns Saiko’s identity and also learns that Raya is his accomplice

8. Saiko plummets to his death during his battle with Nightwing and Raya turns herself into the police

9. Dick celebrates his 35th birthday

10. Dick decides to keep the Circus in Gotham and fund it with his own money

11. Instead of asking Bruce, Dick gets a loan from Sonia Branch who is the daughter of his parents murderer, Tony Zucco

12. The Court of Owls release Talon’s onto Gotham in a brutal attack

13. Nightwing confronts Talon in battle

14. Nightwing learns that Talon is his revived great-grandfather

15. Nightwing fights Talon again and defeats him by freezing him in liquid nitrogen

16. Joker resurfaces in Gotham and infects the circus’ residents with his Joker gasses

17. Joker destroys the circus but Dick manages to change into the Nightwing suit in time

18. Nightwing is overrun by the residents and is dragged down into the sewers

19. Nightwing is beaten and gagged by the Joker and forced to partake in a fake feast whilst watching the Joker wreck Batman’s mind

20. Batman frees himself and the Joker falls to his apparent death

21. Nightwing’s wounds are tended to

22. All except Jason Todd refused to meet back at Wayne Manor after feeling a change in their relationship with Bruce

23. Damian Wayne dies

24. In grief and looking for a fresh start, Dick moves to Chicago to find Tony Zucco

25. Dick teams up with a villain called The Prankster to try and find a lead

26. Dick was forced to battle Prankster and was strung up like a crucifixion on live TV

27. Dick escaped his fate by teaming up with Zucco and taking down Prankster

28. Dick decided to move back home to Gotham

2017

1. After returning to Gotham, the Crime Syndicate comes to Earth looking to murder the Justice League

2. Nightwing teams up with them to stop it but is captured

3. Nightwing is again forced onto live TV where he is strung up to a bomb called the murder machine. The bomb can only be stopped if Dick’s heart stops beating.

4. Nighwings identity as Richard Grayson is revealed on world-wide live TV

5. Lex Luthor stops Dick’s heart for a few seconds and disarms the bomb

6. The Crime Syndicate is defeated and collapsed

7. Dick Grayson is believed to be dead by all who know and love him except for Lex Luthor and Bruce Wayne

8. Bruce Wayne asks Dick to become a double agent and infiltrate a an organisation called Spyral

9. Dick rejects him at first, not wanting to carry on the façade that he is dead but in the end accepts the mission

10. Dick celebrates his 36th birthday

11. Grayson ends his time with Spyral after defeating Paragon and Mr. Minos

12. Dick returns to Gotham and Batman reveals to the superhero community that he has been alive this whole time
