Ball of Fire

I really loved this movie. Snow White and the eight professors. So cute and so unrealistic and I loved ever minute of it. Also my absolute favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. I’ve seen it a hundred times and as soon as Professor Oddly started talking I KNEW he was the caterpillar and I immediately geeked out. Like immediately. It was embarrassing. 

What I Liked:

I really liked the slang and the way all the characters used it. The writing for that was brilliant. I also really enjoyed Professor Potts creeping in on people’s conversations in his pursuit to learn it.

I am ALWAYS a sucker for a musical number.

“People like that, dust just piles up on their hearts. It took you to blow it away.”

What I Disliked:

I’m struggling to think of something. Most are nitpicky things that are more to do with it being made in 1941 than actual things I disliked.

Thoughts and Ponderings:

Do you think the collective crush the professors had on Ms. O’Shea would pass the Me Too muster of 2020?

Someone tell Bill and Alec that Professor Potts buying Sugarpuss an engagement ring after one makeout session makes the laptop Barry bought Sally not look so creepy.

There is a Dick Tracy computer game I used to play as a kid, with these two rat henchmen that reminded me so much of the two henchmen in this movie.

This is the fourth movie I’ve watch in this endeavor and while I liked the first three, this is the first one I would actually go out of my way to recommend to people.
