It’s kinda annoying that the other Quidditch characters didn’t get their own personal arcs like Skye did. I thought Orion was finally going to get one when he got injured in s3 but they never went anywhere with exploring him further as a character. It seems like they just needed an excuse to get him out of the way to have a captaincy plot but without having him graduate. They didn’t really explore Murphy or Rath’s characters on a personal that much either, but they have potential to work with too.

Yeah, I'm definitely annoyed by how much Jam City has just decided to completely sideline Orion in particular, after season 3, and I was really hoping that season 4 would give McNully the chance to shine the way Season 2 gave Skye focus and the beginning of Season 3 focused on Orion. It's also disappointing that they've had Skye and Erika kind of backtrack in their development too, considering they're acting unfriendly toward each other again. I was even complaining to @dat-silvers-girl at several points while watching the latest chapter of Season 4, because almost all of Orion's comments from the sidelines were written as though he were just some random NPC, rather than in his rather distinctive, dreamy voice.

These lines should've been more like --

"We can only benefit from whatever intelligence Rath has against our new opponents."

"Rath is as strong as a Graphorn, it's true...but even a Graphorn needs time to heal, before they can charge at full strength."

"This is certain -- to get to Gruffyd, our only path is through Baglan."

"Our focus must be on Baglan."

"Having the twins as rivals has sparked new flames of determination inside of our teammates."

But yes, back to the overall point, the writing of the Quidditch crew has been incredibly disappointing, as of late. Like the rest of the game, it really feels as though each of them had so much potential for growth and development, but Jam City has seen fit to either deny them it or backtrack any small changes they do go through.

Welcome back to this amazing new episode of me commenting Quidditch.

After an exchange of views with my dear dear friend @vandelopa-x over Quidditch in general, it is time to destroy the destroyable and keep the tradition alive!

So, season 4 was, indeed, something.

Overall, it didn't started with a climax, as usual. Season 3 had one of the best beginnings, winning with a dramatic impact over the player and Orion's falling from the broom, yet it lost in its initial goal (with the TRUE AND ONLY CAPTAIN THAT I RECOGNISE having to face stuffs like poor self esteem, crisis over his identities and the relationship between the ones around him) while on the process to understand what the plot has to do with itself.

True, I like to bully season 3, and with good reasons. But to be honest, it wasn't even bad at all. Troubles with Hogwarts Mystery always start when a certain developing company decides that MC has to be at the centre of literally everything going on a screen.

Did they deserve the leadership? Where they ready?

Spoiler: no.

They almost saved it when they decided to introduce us to Badger (LOVE OF A LIFETIME I FREAKING ADORE HIM) and Kneil. Bless them.

What I didn't like about season 4 overall it's its extreme filler, a overly long time to actually develop a twist and some characters that decided to take the time machine back to season 1 (hello Skye) and apparently forgot about the only good thing that happened in season 3 (aside Badger, love of a lifetime, I freaking adore him) aka developing and making amends.

But, aside that, this isn’t a roasting post at all, because…

I liked it. Not a lot, not extremely a lot but we are kind of back in a decent state for Quidditch:

Murphy had more than 5 minutes of screen time and only this could light up your day.

Also, his friendship it’s Budger is overwhelming. At the end they are just two misunderstood souls who found each other and it's beautiful.

Give a raise to whoever decided that Murphy and Orion has to team up once again.

And you, exactly you, Jam a city employer spying on us, I personally want to thank you again for making Orion and Skye fighting again.

THE TWINS OH BOY OH LORD.

I actually adored them. Especially Gruffyd, since Baglan it's an human case and has to be treated as such.

A thing that I want to say is that I understand perfectly their sub story. Because they are similar to Skye, according to the “family makes you suffer sometimes” but it's really enjoyable the fact that they decided to talk about what not only what their family represent but also what they went through and how it could possibly affect them, sparing from the same tragedy that hit their ancestor. I also adore that they implemented their need to be themselves while seeking love or appreciation and even a little bit of adventure just to escape from their name.

I admit that I've cried a little when Gruffyd said that they had struggles making friends because people make assumptions. It does scream “ERIKA RATH” everywhere, but on the other side it makes you reflect that at the end everyone involved in Quidditch is a little bit lonely because various issues. Relatable, sad but true.

Andre' lines where out of this world. The “Wellnelly pancakes” will never get old in this blog.

Also we are over discussing about what really matters.

Ethan Parkin was no where to be seen

Like this is literally a reason to institute a national holiday?!

I missed Charlie and I hate the opponent house captain. Just marry Bean and leave us alone cause I can totally see the tension!

I care about them. And let's be honest: so does some folks around;I still think that they have won the heart of so many because they are human.

I could end this, that's it, that's the post but no- I do want justice for the prefects but I want justice even for them.

I'm not asking to see them growing up, that's a beautiful utopia from my account. I just want to see them happy, even if MC is not involved.

So please Jam City, PLEASE, give them if not a sequel but a decent goodbye.

La meuve

Situé au cœur d'une une somptueuse clairière entourée de bois verts et foisonnants, le village de Cöàd offrait un véritable havre de paix à ses habitants. La vie y était simple, calme et paisible, loin de l’incessante puanteur des grandes villes. On y comptait une trentaine de familles. Ces dernières vivaient de la chasse, de la cueillette, de l’agriculture, et elles n’avaient presque pas besoin de faire affaire avec le monde extérieur. C’était l’autonomie et la tranquillité de vie à son paroxysme. Les enfants avaient fait des bois qui les entouraient leur royaume. Mais un jour, un sombre nuage s’imposa sur les têtes de ces bienheureux. Un jeune garçon, du nom de Rhys, disparu dans cette forêt pourtant bien connue. Des battues furent organisées jour et nuit pendant vingt lunes. Mais il ne fut jamais retrouvé. Ce fut tragique, et ce d’autant plus que les enfants du village connaissaient parfaitement la forêt, et jamais ils ne s’étaient perdus. On aurait pu croire à des loups, mais aucun vêtement ni aucun os du petit Rhys ne furent retrouvés. 

Le village, bien que tout entier endeuillée, consenti à laisser les enfants retourner jouer dans les bois, quelques semaines après ce drame, sous une surveillance qui peu à peu s’évanouit. Aucun incident ne surgi. Jusqu’au jour où ce ne fut pas un, mais deux enfants qui disparurent. Les jumeaux Alana et Mervin. Cette fois, les enfants du village furent interdits d’escapades forestières. Des vêtements furent retrouvés au bord d’une mare située non loin de là. Ils étaient trempés, déchiquetés et tâchés de sang. La triste trouvaille fut rapportée à la mère des jumeaux, une jeune femme de soldat absent, effondrée, qui confirma leur appartenance. C’était là les tissus de sa progéniture. Il est inutile d’évoquer alors quel chagrin s’empara de la pauvre Nesta, qui ne dormit plus.

Très tôt un matin, alors que les chasseur Baglan s’apprêtait à partir au travail, il vit Nesta quitter sa demeure d’un pas décidé. Il l’interpela mais elle ne daigna se retourner. Il la suivi alors mais elle galopait tel un chevreuil effaré. Lorsqu’enfin il la rejoint, c’était seulement parce qu’elle était arrêtée près de la mare où les restes de ses enfants avaient été retrouvés. Il était là, le cadavre de sa fille, flottant sur le ventre au bord du cours d’eau croupi. Son corps blanc reflétait la pâle lueur du soleil levant et sa peau fripée semblait celle d’un vieillard. Pourtant, c’était bien son enfant, Nesta en était certaine. Mais alors pourquoi personne ne l’avait vu ? Lui avait-on menti ? Qui ? Et pourquoi faire une chose aussi terrible ? La femme criait et pleurait, inconsolable et incontrôlable, le chasseur ne parvenant pas à la calmer. Mais soudain, elle se tut, fixant la mare de son regard troublé et Baglan en fit de même. Une créature avait sorti sa tête de l’eau putride. Des cheveux noirs et éparses entouraient un visage pâle et fripé. De grands yeux blancs globuleux, sortant de leurs orbites, fixaient les agitateurs. Nesta fit un infime geste, certainement dû à un sursaut nerveux et incontrôlable, alors la créature se jeta sur le cadavre flottant de la petite fille, et la dernière chose que la mère vit de son enfant, fut sa fragile nuque enserrée dans des crocs acérés et fétides de la meuve qui emportait son repas du jour au fond de la mare pestilentielle.
