Last night was the hottest girl group around, Chocolat’s debut album party. Although we personally didn’t get invited, we managed to slip our way inside to get you guys the latest scope.

The star studded event was packed with some of the hottest names including:

Venus da Mermaid who is collaborating on the remix of their newest single Freak.

Sidney Ryan, our favorite Barbie superstar who happens to be the twin sister of their manager, Spencer Ryan. She was busy texting working all night. We’re sure she had to clear her schedule to show up.

Francisco Diaz, another artist who is featured on their album. Does anyone know who he is? We honestly haven’t heard of him outside of this project. Christoph Black, the most famous hairstylist in San Myshuno. We wonder if he’s responsible for Melodie’s new red-do. Surprisingly, three times Sim Music Award Winner, Aneesa Holbrook managed to show up to the event. 

Club Shashay was decked out in white balloons and even served chocolate cake pops to go with the complementary drinks. The invitation mentioned gift bags but there were none for us. Maybe a few corners had to be cut to make the party happen...We know the budget can get tight at Maxis Music.

The girls spent their time with their loved ones. Their father, Tristian Arnett and aunt, Sonja Arnett did make a brief appearance to congratulate the girls before leaving. That’s when the real night begun.

Neoma, the oldest of the bunch, spent most of her time with her partner, Johana Erickson aka Jo-1. Jo-1 has produced almost half of the songs on their debut album with Neo listed as co producer on two of those songs. Clearly the duo had some studio lovin going on! 

Eden, the youngest of the girls, spent a lot of time tonguing down her girlfriend. We had to do a little research on her partner as she isn’t famous or simstagram-able. Apparently her name is Jayde Nava and she comes from Del Sol Valley. There isn’t much more known about her.

Unsurprisingly Melodie spent most of the night dancing in her lonesome as her boyfriend, Camden Lovell was nowhere in sight. Camden Lovell, our favorite singer/rapper, with a rap sheet as long as the Del Sol Valley Boulevard, is featured on the track “Separation.”, from the album.

Melodie was later joined by Big Beamer who invited himself into their section to introduce himself. Maybe there will be a future collab. 

With drinks flowing and the music bumping, we can confirm that many sims enjoyed themselves at Chocolat’s Debut Album Release Party.

Especially Neoma who couldn’t even gather herself to leave the club at 4 AM. It seems like Bad Behavior isn’t just an album title but a lifestyle. 

We hope the girls had as much fun as it looked and we wish Chocolat much success for their debut album Bad Behavior and their future endeavors.

Yasmine started her career as a model years ago quite successfuly. She even appeared on magazine covers a few times. Later she kept going upper and upper on the career ladder and created her talk show. Different celebrities take part in Yasmine’s talk show where they talk about any topics and often in a pretty dirty way. Yasmine once was married with a famous singer Dirk Mance, but frequent scandals and jealous behaviour of her husband was the reason she divorced. In celebrity world she is well known for hiding her secrets pretty well and finding out the most dirtiest info about her famous colleagues. Bad Girl Club looks like an amazing place to dig even more sensational and scandalous information that can be used in Yasmine’s talk show.

Your eyes traveled from the leather kutte over the bed, to your boyfriend. He was sitting at the edge of the bed, with his head bowed forward and both hands intertwined on his nape. The patches that used to decorate it, now were cutted off, and the new ones were perfectly sewn. You knew exactly what that meant. He just shitted on six years of relationship. You were fourteen when you met him, skipping out of highschool because you were having a bad day and he just made it better, without knowing you. You didn't say anything when you noticed the suitcase behind him, raising his dark and reddened eyes towards you.

He didn't ask you to come with him, because you had a life in Stockton. Your family, your friends, your work, your college. He knew pretty well that you would follow him to the end of times, but he couldn't ask you to fall into hell, just because of him. So Creeper left you there with a pain squeezing your heart that you keep feeling today.

The first months without knowing anything about him, all that you did was pray. Pray for him like you had never done before. Oscar wasn't allowed to tell you anything else more that he was alive, and that he was close to the Mexicali border. They knew you were suffering, but Creeper asked them to let you continue with your life. But how you could, if he was your life?

You had to deal with, what doctors called, ‘depression’. But the truth was that every time you closed your eyes, you used to find him smiling at you, telling you how much he loved you. You decided to not sleep, or avoid it as much time possible, so you used to spend the day in bed. Tired, sad, unhappy, feeling miserable.

Until you started to fight, when you understood that he wasn't coming back. You understood why he did what he did, that he just wanted the best for you. And have a life with a wannabe gangster, it wasn't. With Mayans in Stockton, Creeper only took care of simple business, but his new ‘job’ was high-level, dangerous and risky. He couldn't ask you to stay by his side. His love was stronger than drowning you into that shit.

But you used to tell him: ‘I prefer to die for love, than to die for hate’.

You stopped dreaming with him, even if you kept your promise of praying every night for his soul. Praying to God to not forget him.

The pain was disappearing one bite at a time, until you decided to only keep the good things, the good memories of your history. Oscar began to see that you continued coming to the clubhouse, asking less for Creeper, but asking more for the crew. You practically grew up with them, and who was your first love wasn't going to take that away from you too. So the president let you help them with basic stuff; working at the parties, doing the groceries, cooking for them… They considered you like their mom, even if you were much younger than them. You were part of their family, another Mayan morr.

Ay, ay, me duele muy dentro del corazón.

But the pain that you thought you had conquered, was only hidden. And you know that by finding him with his brothers, drinking some beers in the front yard of your club. It's been five years since he left you and, even if you're a woman and not a child anymore, you understand that you are still in love with him, like eleven years ago when you met. Parking your car inside the garage, you step out from it in complete silence, with a box of Jose Cuervo between your arms. Oscar walks towards you, hoping that he has the chance to explain what's going on, but you just smile at him to let him know that everything is okay. You can deal with it.

“They will stay for a couple hours”. He said anyway.

“They're Mayans, I ge—”.

“You are too. Never forget it”.

Nodding in silence, you follow him into the inside, passing them away without saying a single word, until being greeted by your charter with hugs and kisses.

“Hey, baby girl, Oscar is calling you to the table”.

Medina makes you frown confused. It's the first time in your life that you enter in that Templo while Mayans are reunited. Unless you're bringing them beers. Opening the glass door, you step in. Silence, just a bunch of dark eyes over you, walking with firm steps to the president of your charter. Moving the empty chair by his right side, he urges you to sit down. And you do, with your gaze fixed on his.

“You told me once that you would like to prospect”.

“I did”. You say, curling a leg against your chest, and placing your arm about it.

“In Santo Padre need a new prospect”.

Your orbs travel to the other president, Bishop Losa. Rey de los Mayas. By the look on his face, you know that they're hiding something from your charter, from Oscar. Twisting your neck, you try to figure it out, until he clears his throat because you're making him feel uncomfortable.

“Could you live without me?” Slowly, so slowly, you turn your face to El Oso.

“It's just eight hours away from here, chamaca”.

Te tengo en mi mente todo el tiempo. Todo el tiempo estallo por dentro.

“What are you doing?”

As soon as Stockton charter leaves the Templo, you don't care about the presence of your new family, but Creeper in front of you. He has changed. At least, his look. Wherever you try to find a blank space on his skin, there's another tattoo. Shaved head, black marks under his eyes. The ones that used to shine every day and now look dead.

“Maybe we sh—”. Bishop starts to say, getting up from his chair.

“Sit the fuck down, presidente”. No one is going to fuck with you. Not anymore. “The hell are you playing, Neron?”

“It wasn't our moment”.

Your eyelids widen, with both eyebrows raised up.

“Taking you with me five years ago, it would suppose you were dead today”.

“You didn't have to take me with you, but keep calling, keep texting. You are the one who is dead today”.

“I never stopped loving you”.

“Seriously, gu—”.

“Next time you interrupt us, Mayans gonna have a mute president”. Pointing at Bishop, you give Creeper back your attention. “You destroyed my life. You abandoned me without giving a shit. For what?”

“I paid you for your business here all these years. Your studies, your apartment. And I bought you your bike”.

“No. No, no, no. Mayans did. Oscar. Did”. You reply laughing with a bitter feeling stuck in your throat.

“I have called Oscar every day”.

When the men leave the Templo, and Creeper sits in a chair closer to yours, you can't help but break into tears. All the pain that you were fighting against, now is back, seeing how one of his hands hold your right. Feel his touch again, with his fingers getting tangled with yours, is killing you. You can't even look at him. Your gaze is blurred, because of the tears piling up inside your eyes.

“Ain't gonna say that 'am sorry, cause that's bullshit. I just wanted to protect you, but I didn't know that I was pushing you to an emptiness, that was about to end up with your life”. He mutters, trying to keep a firm tone of voice, even if it breaks sometimes. “I tried to do the best for you, without knowing that the best for you is be by my side”.

“Wh—Why now?” You finally ask, licking your bottom lip, raising your head towards him.

“One month ago, in an Arizona run, I was about to die. I was… feeling how I was leaving this world, and I promised to God that if he gave me a second chance… I would come for you”.

Taking off his kutte, the half mexican lifts up his shirt. On his skin there are more tattoos than you can count, but even if you want to focus on the sewn bullet hole over his heart, your attention is on a phrase close to it. “I prefer to die for love, than die for hate”. Under it, your name and the day date you met.

“I have never stopped loving you, (Y/N)”.

His arms surround you, forcing you to sit on his lap as you used to spend the hours. Curling against his chest, Creeper holds you tightly, feeling that warm wrapping your body that begins to melt the cold ice that has your heart captive. Your cry gets loud, sinking your face under his chin. All this time you were hating him for abandoning you, he was just hiding in the shadows, watching over you. His scent floods your lungs, closing your eyes and trying to calm yourself. Your fingers get tangled in his shirt, when his lips kiss your forehead so dearly that make disappear all the sadness that was oppressing your chest. He will always have that power in you, as you have in him.

“I love you”. He mutters, feeling how his breath becomes somewhat shaky about to cry too. “Please, come with me”.

Resting his cheek on your head, you cling to his arms, surrounding them with yours the stronger as you can. You don't want him to leave you again. Not a second time.

Cousins: Again, a lot, but notably her elder first cousin Chauncer (great-aunt Lucia’s son), whose Costa del Sol bungalow Lissa holes up in a lot, and her second-cousins Barnabath and Ava Donncaster, who she visits in Kugane fairly frequently.

High society: If you're a part of, or well-acquainted with, the aristocratic side of Eorzean society, you've most likely heard of the Sebastis family. You may have even heard about the pretty and troublesome young scion of theirs, always bringing shame on the family name. High finance: Any character with a background in business or tradecraft or who has a good amount of wealth themselves has probably done some sort of business with Lissa's family or its proxies. Family business: Lissa has tons of family, all of them involved in various legit and shady business schemes across all of Hydaelyn. You may have encountered one of them - as friends, rivals, employees - and you might eventually parlay that into some sort of exchange with Cumberland Sebastis’s bratty younger daughter. il Mercenario: As it turns out, when you run a big family business, sometimes things get rough, and more often than not, it pays to have a few sturdy sellswords at your side. If you operate as a mercenary, particularly working inside La Noscea, you may find yourself hired to shadow or protect some billionaire berry-farmer's bratty daughter. Alternatively, you may have been hired by a shady business rival to, well, 'take care' of her. Drinks and dives: Sometimes you just want some peace, quiet, and a mug of the good stuff to yourself, right? There's no better place for that sort of local color than the scummiest holes-in-the-wall. But for some reason, some irritating girl keeps showing up at all your favorite watering holes, insistent on making herself life of the party... Low lives: You run a small gang, crime syndicate, or have a background in raising a firm little bit of hell. You're known and you might even be a tad feared by the underground. The above pictures (plus the related tray files) are all I have left of an idea that was half-formed to begin with and which never got off the ground at all.

01.

Depending on if you’re a follower of mine + how long you’ve been following me, you may have seen a few of these shots before but I’ll explain them anyway:

Set 1: The characters Charlie, Hick, and Craig, in their original states on the left and their enhanced, final states on the right;

Set 2: A few WIP pictures of the performance space/club/thing I built;

Set 3: A bunch of test shots I took to see how the characters looked interacting, what they did naturally, and how they looked when I ~directed them. I used these pics to try and find my editing style for the story. I didn’t find the style I wanted. Clearly.

I scrapped this idea because it never came together; I didn’t connect with the characters; I didn’t care about the storyline; I’m not done with my new save so I couldn’t ~comfortably start telling this story when the rest of the world was/is disordered; and on and on. The point is, I wasn’t feeling any of this. Oh! And I hate the whole vibe and time period and aesthetic irl; what on earth was I thinking writing about it?!

So. What was this going to be?

Charlie, Hick, and Craig were

going

to live in Del Sol Valley in my new save, in the Pinnacles neighborhood, which I was

going

to turn into a Laurel Canyon-style neighborhood. An entire community of would-be songwriters/musicians were

going

to live in the two smaller lots and commune with one another and be the New Guard colliding with the Old Guard; the huge mansion lot was

going

to house an aging former film-current soap actor confronting his mortality and also hating the living shit out of these hippies whose existence he took as a personal affront--I digress. Back to the “story.”

Charlie, Hick, and Craig met after each arrived in DSV separately and they vibed and they moved in together, all in a matter of, like, a week’s time. Charlie and Hick vibed especially. So much in common! Such poor little rich [kids]! Both came from pampered environments in which their family money and respective fathers’ connections allowed them to skate through life and to play at being musicians because--despite crying oppression at the hands of upper class WASP-dom--they'll always have safety nets to ensure they’ll always be okay. Charlotte Grant graduated from her all-girls prep school and put on a floppy hat and became Charlie Grant; Richard Hickey (lololol) ripped up his acceptance letter to Britechester and grew his hair out and hitchhiked and told people to call him “Hick.” They’ve lived parallel lives and “recognize” one another as soon as they meet. They have an electric connection, but neither will verbalize that. Above all, they... really want to sleep together.

Craig grew up working class and has no safety net; he just wants a little adventure before he gets a real job/grows up/gets married (his gf back home is off to college; they’re long-distance; it’s... not going to work). He’s a good guitar player and he’s a good songwriter and that’s it but maybe it’ll be more? What do they say about the lottery? Can’t win if you don’t play? Charlie and Hick want to be famous ~rule the world. Hick plays guitar well and tries to write songs but they’re shitty. Charlie is passively learning the keyboard and writes songs that are not... bad...? Some are... good?

Charlie and Hick--can you tell they eclipse Craig, yet?--have weird sexual chemistry and tension: they tease, they flirt, they taunt, they enjoy one another’s attention but they never so much as hug. They both have cruel streaks as only disconnected, spoiled, emotionally stunted bluebloods can: the torture of their relationship/non-relationship gets them off more than anything else could and that thrill drives much of their behaviors: bringing wanton strangers home for one night stands, each hoping the other is watching/overhearing, fighting about little things, acting like inappropriately close siblings, acting like strangers. Craig suffers their whims; Charlie and Hick aren’t just united in their toxicity and their dreams of fame, but in how they make Craig into a third wheel or a--well, punching bag is too strong a term. Charlie and Hick think they’re teasing their bff but you know how it is to be teased allllll the tiiiiiiime and how it can make your head spin when people who can’t get along with one another join forces--without even having to discuss it--to turn on you. Their relationship gets patched up, you’re hurting, they insist it’s not a big deal and even that you even liked it. We’re all friends. We’re all best friends omg.

But sometimes they have fun together. They have a lot of fun together. Sometimes it all is everything each dreamed it would be. DSV is a wonderland and their careers are happening and life is happening and they’re best friends. They’re soulmates for life.

The three work on music, perform at clubs. Craig is starting to come into his own as a man. I hate the term coming-of-age but in the background of the Charlie & Hick Show, Craig is maturing. He has to, because C&H are fuck-ups. They jeopardize scheduled performances. They don’t know how to talk to club owners. They’re not interested in paying their dues. They are unable (or unwilling) to promote themselves without being obnoxious attention whores. They don’t practice or help write songs. They don’t take care of the house. Hick is late with his rent. Charlie thinks she can flirt her way out of everything. Craig is also the only one of them who works; he has a day job at a print shop, gives guitar lessons on the side, and makes sure the three get gigs and don’t get evicted. The only thing C&H put consistent effort toward is making the social scene or finding a party or scoring drugs or getting laid. As the group’s local star(s) rise, their fates start to change course which increases the interpersonal tension. Hick’s fun-loving nature is starting to turn into a legit substance abuse problem and he’s picking fights with the wrong people and socially devolving, his arrogance and issues and general laziness rendering him unable to relate to others; Charlie is getting a lot of attention from older men In the Business, who have the money and connections to make her a solo star, which she is shrewdly considering; and Craig’s resentment toward his “friends” and disillusionment with the superficiality of DSV is making him rethink his motivation for coming west in the first place.

Oh, and Charlie and Hick--again, as their paths change and as their weird tension remains unresolved--continue to take their bullshit out on Craig and now it’s not funny anymore, it’s not cute, it’s not exciting, and neither is it when Hick ruins a show by being too stoned to perform and neither is it when Charlie brings unsavory characters home who trash the three’s equipment and neither is it when C&H steal Craig’s songs and perform without him at a gig they didn’t tell him about.

What I intended was that the story would at first seem to be The Charlie and Hick Show, all about them, as if we’re supposed to root for them, but ideally, through my ~deft hand 🙄 the reader 🙄🙄 was supposed to be like, Um... hold on-- until it eventually was quite obvious that these two--though human; though in situations we could understand and empathize with--were captured at a point in their lives when they were Super Toxic Assholes, and what you were watching all along was Craig as Hero.

So I had ideas, but I didn’t know how to fit them together and I didn’t want a really long story and I couldn’t--I just couldn’t figure it out. I do know that the end was going to be Craig screwing them like they’d been screwing him, a final middle finger with consequences. I know that he and Hick were going to have words and Hick was going to try and fight him (such a loser) and Charlie was going to throw a Hail Mary of like... trying to seduce (lol) Craig into staying omg I always had a thing for you/we’d be such a great team/I always thought we could ~be something ~together uwu bullshit like that. Was this true? Was this true in her own mind? I think I was going to set the story up so that if you reread, yeah, it could be true, but she’s so flirty and manipulative and socially savvy and used to getting what she wants that who knows what her real feelings ever are? Ultimately that would’ve been irrelevant bc Craig never looked at her that way and hates her and Hick now; good going guys. It’s worth noting, I guess, that when I put the group on a test lot, Charlie was super into Craig immediately, went right to him, stood close to him, was eager to make romantic overtures; she went 0 to 60 in an instant and as so far as is possible in this game they had chemistry, but Craig was not feeling the romance. And no one was feeling Hick.

Anyway, Craig was going to move on with his life and Charlie and Hick were going to learn nothing and blame him, ~the end.

And then, as I continued to play my save and maybe tell more stories, there would be Easter eggs, references to Charlie, Hick, and Craig older/in the future and where they went in life in the background of other, unrelated stories: Hick’s substance abuse problems and rehab stints and going by Richard again and his eventual moderate fame and eventual sobriety and attempted comeback and his bad relationships with his exes and children; Charlie’s legit fame + marriage to a producer + eventual fade away + moderate comeback + solid second or third marriage and bff relationship with her children 🙄🙄🙄 and her palatial house on the coast and now she exclusively wears white and ivory and pampers her dogs and eats raw (but drinks wine) because it “cured” her undiagnosed, unnamed “autoimmune disorder,” which she wrote a book about resulting in a semi-comeback but as a Famous Person and not a musician. Craig going to college and becoming a high school English teacher who plays in a local band on the weekends and who has a good marriage (not to the long distance gf) and nice kids, one of whom would eventually have her own story where she pursued musicianship with her dad, which got him back into his first passion but it was a qt father-daughter project and not An Attempt to Be Famous.

So. Idk. That’s what this all would’ve been. But it wasn’t, and it won’t be!

1. Mendokumentasikan momen secukupnya

Jangan terlalu banyak selfie. Ga perlu take berulang-ulang hingga 50 kali dalam semenit. Tampak depan, tampak samping, mata genit, melet-melet, semua angle dicoba. Ya, oppa tahu, kamu selfie 50 kali, yang jelek 100. Tapi ga perlu segitunya. Pasrah dan filterlah kemudian.

Ga perlu take video lama-lama seakan kamu sedang syuting drakor. Percayalah, videomu tak akan menang piala Oscar. Keep it short but artistic, don’t spend your entire trip behind a screen.

Dari sini pasti ada pandanganmu yang berubah. Misal, bad girl tidak selalu identik dengan hal negatif.

Selain pintar menjaga penampilan, mereka cenderung lebih pede, suka tantangan dan gak takut patah hati

Pokoknya semua pengalaman baru yang bikin kamu deg-degan dan berteriak ‘Mayday, mayday! Will you marry me?’ 

Menyelam kebawah laut, naik roller coaster ekstrem, melayang dengan paralayang, breakdance battle dengan barongsai hingga merusak hubungan orang.

Mungkin ada kalanya sesuatu yang baru itu mengecewakan. At least you gave it a shot. Tetaplah penasaran, kamu akan menemukan sesuatu yang bikin kamu excited!

Saya sempet bingung  bingung nyari lokasinya, sempat bertanya pada warga setempat dan ternyata spanish bar ini ada di dalam pasar. Pasar modern yang tidak terlihat seperti pasar.

5. Santiago Barnebeu – Real Madrid Stadium

Terakhir ada Mega Store yang menjual berbagai macam pernak-pernik official Real Madrid. Mulai dari jersey, jaket, syal, topi, gantungan kunci, botol minum, komplit plit plit plit. Stadion ini memang gereja bagi pecinta Madrid.

6. El Retiro Park

The perfect place to relax on a beautiful day. There’s a large lake for those interested in hiring a boat and a lot of walking paths and lawns to lie out on.

Taman raksasa yang dihiasi patung, monumen dan danau yang anggun. Saya berjalan melewati jalur setapak diantara pepohonan yang rindang. Memperhatikan sepasang kekasih bermesraan di bawah The Monument of Alfonso XII.

Mereka duduk berpelukan sambil sesekali berciuman. Pacaran tidak pernah sehistorik ini. Ingin rasanya saya berteriak ‘Mister, butuh peran pengganti?’

Diantara semilir angin, saya berjalan kaki mengagumi keindahan suasana taman. Banyak orang bersantai dengan berbaring di rerumputan, duduk di kursi taman dan mendayung di kolam. Tempat terbaik untuk melarikan diri dari dunia nyata.

Inayati Nurul, nama dari gadis berkacamata yang bekerja di cafe ini. Kami berkenalan setelah dia bertanya

‘Kayaknya logatnya ga asing?’

‘Eh, orang Indonesia’. Ternyata logat English Jowo saya begitu kental baginya.

Bertemu dengan warga Indonesia dinegara lain memang menyenangkan. Saat saya memesan Latte Macchiato double shot, dia menjawab dengan sinar mata yang ramah,

‘Udah bayar single shot aja.’

‘Serius? You’re too kind.’ Balas saya dengan mata berbinar.

Ternyata toleransi antar warga sebangsa dan setanah air itu masih ada.

Selagi menunggu Napolitana dan pesanan kopi dibuat, kami sempat bercakap-cakap. Yang paling saya ingat adalah saat dia bercerita kalo sudah lama di Madrid, dan kemungkinan besar, gak bakal balik lagi ke Indonesia.

‘Gak kangen?’ ujar saya.

‘Kangen si, tapi udah nyaman disini.’

Dalam hati saya bergumam ‘Apakah memang lebih baik hujan emas di negeri orang, daripada hujan batu di negeri sendiri?’

8. Gran Via

Champs-Élysées versi Madrid. Surga belanja di jalan raya lurus nan panjang. Trotoarnya berjejer rapi dengan pertokoan berarsitektur kekaisaran Hapsburg. Sepanjang mata memandang terlihat outlet-outlet bermerek, ada H&M, Zara, Adidas, Bershka dan Prada.

Konon memakai barang branded membuat gengsi dan pede kita akan meningkat.

9. Mercado de San Miguel

Pasar dengan stand-stand makanan spanyol yang menggiurkan. Disini saya nyobain Tapas, nasi goreng seafood – Paella, irisan paha babi – Jamon Iberico dan Wine cocktail – Sangria. Selain itu ada kaviar, cheese, lobster dan berbagai jenis cake. Bener-bener surga makanan yang gak boleh dilewatkan.
