Some Halloween headcanons for ARR

Dawn Faction

Koga

Gets invited to Halloween parties

Likes that he can attend them without having to wear a suit

He dresses up and covers his face with a mask so people don't recognize him easily

To his annoyance, Toichiro can still recognize him

Asks his maid to pack some candies for the kids who would swing by his house

Kuya

Lets his wings out on full display since people would just think it's his costume

People stare because it looks so realistic (it is real *wink wink*)

Kids would ask to touch it to which he promptly replies, "No"

Kids have to shout to wake him up since he is usually found sleeping on the veranda instead of handing out the treats at Koga's house

Aoi

Goes all out with his cooking to make sure there are a variety of sweets they can hand out

He tries to make Western sweets since it is a Western holiday - he also puts his art skills to use by designing them

Asks Yura to taste test for him. He is grateful to Yura despite his grumbling when Yura asks for more

Also decorates Raccord to give it the Halloween vibe

"Oji-san, lend me a hand!"

Ginnojo

Also packs candies at his shop

Kuro helps him out with the packing

He displays books with spooky stories since they seem to be popular during this time

"Do I really have to wear this?"

Gets this soft look on his face when he hands out treats

Yura

Volunteers to help with packing candies at Raccord since he's got nothing better to do.

Works as the taste tester when Aoi tries to recreate Western sweets.

"Pray, Sir Aoi, this "cookie" tastes good! Can I have some more?"

Eats more than the candies that he packed.

On Halloween, he takes on his child form, dresses up and lines up with the kids to ask for treats.

Twilight Faction

Toichiro

Also gets invited to Halloween parties

Dresses up like a prince

Likes to annoy Koga since he can easily recognize him

Sticks to Koga since these types of parties do not require them to make their rounds

Still as polite as he can usually be when people approach him

Shizuki

Babysits Kogare since Kogare visits on Halloween

Packs candies with Kogare

"Kogare, hide your ears and tail." To which Kogare replies, "But why is Kuya-san allowed to show his wings?!"

The one who hands out the treats at Toichiro's manor since Kogare also makes his rounds to other houses

Kuro

Helps out at Raccord and Kusanagi Books during candy packing

Also joins in on the fun when Aoi has new sweet samples

Performs in front of Raccord and Kusanagi Books on Halloween

He does it for the promotion of their Halloween show later that night

"If you like what you see, watch the show of Lorenzi Circus Troupe tonight and be whisked away to a night filled with mystery!"

Oji

Always seems to be busy 'entertaining' his customers so he barely helps Aoi with packing candies

He thought he could get away with not wearing a costume so the Raccord gang had to force him to wear something for Halloween

"Aoi-chan, 1 pack of candy for the young lady here"

Gaku

Also helps out at Raccord since Yura is there

Makes tiny trinkets like jack-in-the-box and Chinese finger trap and drops them randomly inside the candy packs

Heaps wasabi on top of the sweets so he can eat the same thing as Yura

Holds back his laughter when he sees the children find themselves trapped in the Chinese finger trap.

"Do you need help with that?"

Stay Like This

Fandom: Ayakashi Romance Reborn

December is a busy season for work for both Koga and MC so they decided to have a stay in date at MC’s home for today while they have the time. MC received a message from Koga that he would be a little late since the meeting is taking a bit longer to finish.

Meanwhile, MC prepared Koga’s favorite hotpot which is perfect for the cold weather. When the buzzer sounds, MC hurried to open the front door and Koga came with his weight crashing on her.

“Koga, what’s wrong?” MC asks worriedly. It was rare for Koga to be like this.

Koga just kept on squeezing her without a word. MC returned the hug and tried to ask again, “Bad day at work?”

She felt his head nod. “Would you like to head inside to sit down?” MC asked since Koga still won’t let go and the front door was left open.

“Just stay like this for a while.”

After a few more moments, Koga let go and shut the door himself before heading inside.

“It smells good in here,” Koga remarked casually like the incident earlier didn’t happen.

MC heated the hotpot and brought out plates. “So, what happened?”

After the both of them were seated, Koga started to tell her, “A bad work day.”

“Can you tell me more about it?” MC asked.

The two of them already agreed before that if anything is troubling them they should turn to each other. Even if they can’t really help with it, they can lend each other an ear.

“It’s just that my proposal didn’t go as well as I planned. Someone from our team has a different perspective for the project and the team is a little split between the two of us so we decided to discuss it further in another meeting.”

“Ah, I see. So that means you must prepare a more detailed presentation in your next meeting.”

“That settles it. I’m going to make a presentation that will convince them!”

“That’s the spirit! I’ll be cheering you on. And let me guess that you were actually upset because that would make you more busy and not because you aren’t confident of your proposal?”

Koga groaned at her question and continued eating.

“You know you don’t have to worry about that, right? We’ll have some free time later anyway. I’ll be cheering you on until then”

“I know that you won’t mind but of course I also want to spend time with you.”

“Aww, aren’t you with me right now? Staying home like this feels nice once in a while. You know that I also like you when you’re serious about your work.” MC beamed at him. “The food will get cold if you continue staring at me. You fell in love with me again, didn’t you?”

“You’re right. I fell in love with you all over again. I always do,” Koga said and resumed eating.

MC blushed over Koga’s words and quickly resumed eating as well.

…

After their dinner, they moved to the sofa to watch the new movie that MC wanted to watch. Only a few minutes into the movie, MC felt Koga’s head on her shoulder.

MC patted Koga’s head lovingly and said in a hushed voice, “Koga, let’s head to the bed. You must be tired.”

Koga squeezed MC tight and replied, “Let’s just stay like this. I’m sorry, I know that you were looking forward to watching this movie.”

“It’s okay, the movie won’t go anywhere. We can watch it anytime…”

“You can watch it now, but we’ll have to watch it again together later. Just stay like this for now,” Koga continued to mumble.

MC patted his back as he continued to hug her tight. “Alright, we can stay like this.”

The movie continued to play on the screen but all MC could think about was Koga who was holding on to her tight. Eventually, they fell asleep on the sofa while relishing each other’s warmth.

So, I haven't logged into Ayakashi in like 2 1/2 days because I've been too tired (I just woke up and remembered it's been two days since I remembered to take my meds, but I'm sure that's unrelated)

This isn't the first time, and I'm used to getting messages from whoever is on my home screen. Before I got good at weekly missions, it was always Shizuki, and he was offering tea, and then it was Kuya for a while, and he'd tell me to wake him up when I came back.

Right now, Kuro is on my screen because aw just look at him, and 2 1/2 days ago, he sent, "I want to see you again! I'll wait as long as I need to, okay?" And I was like, aw I love you baby, and took a nap.

The next morning I woke up with a message from Koga, saying, "You didn't come today. Something happen? If you have the time I'd love to see you." Like...sweet bud, but why are you here? Kuro's on my screen? Did he get worried and ask you to talk to me? (Below is Koga for those not in the fandom, but are wondering where this is going)

Then, LAST NIGHT I got a message from GINNOJO OF ALL PEOPLE! I was like, I love you bud, but you're so shy I wasn't expecting anything from you. He said, "Everyone is worried that you haven't shown up today. We'd be put at ease simply by seeing your face."

So...like...now I know I screwed up and they are all worried....but also...is this my self aware au? I always thought it would be enstars since Mayoi is always mildly threatening to drag me off, but idk man, these boys got real nervous that I wasn't there.

But like, what do? Do I just show up like, "hey long time no see" or should I bring a peace offering 😂

After seeing all the random flashy Edokko people in Bakuten I’m just like :’D at Ouga looking like that. I wonder if he himself was a townsman who lived right there in the capital and not someone who lives in the hick country side or something.

Oh yeah, if you missed my previous posts, Koga’s dad is named Ouga. ‘Cause. You know. Koga is actually supposed to be Kouga.

Sweet Drink

‘Tis The Season For Love Content Creation Challenge ❄ by @xxsycamore and @voltage-vixen

Prompt: Sipping hot chocolate and then stealing a kiss

This is a real nice challenge since it's my first time to write a fic for Koga (〃‿〃◇)

Christmas was just around the corner. In the midst of the preparations, Mototaka received a lot of orders from a client in Yokohama which were meant to be gifts. Both MC and Nachi were helping him out in organizing the packages that must be delivered to other clients. Mototaka would leave the next day so they would also help him out with packing the items for Yokohama.

“Father, you seem to have a lot of packages that you need to deliver to Yokohama,” MC remarked.

“Yes. We do tend to get busy at this time of the year. And this time I got a lot of orders from a regular client because apparently his previous purchases were popular with his friends and so he wanted to give them something of similar quality.”

MC continued to sort the items while pondering on their situation.

“It feels like this is the first time that you will be delivering this many items. How will you manage to bring all these?”

“Oh, you don’t have to worry about that. I will be hiring helpers to assist me when I arrive at Yokohama like I always do. It just happened that there are a lot more items this year. That’s just how this business is,” Mototaka answered lightheartedly.

“Hmmm, I was wondering, what if you bring Nachi along with you?”

“Huh?” Nachi looked dumbfounded with MC’s suggestion. “I can’t do that. I can’t leave you alone. Everytime Dad leaves for work, he always leaves you to me.”

“But Father needs your help this time. Besides, I can invite Koga to stay over so that way I won’t be alone.” She turned to Mototaka and asked again, “Can we do that? I’d worry less if you have Nachi with you on your trip. I’ll handle the other deliveries here.”

Nachi looked dissatisfied with MC’s proposal and retorted, “There are still a lot of items that need to be delivered here. And I don’t think that stupid oni can help you out when he has his own work.”

“I don’t intend to ask him for help with the deliveries. Besides, you won’t be long, right? You’ll only be gone for three days. You can help me with the rest of the deliveries when you return,” MC replied to try and soothe Nachi.

“Well, let’s see what Dad has to say about this.”

Mototaka thought about it for a moment before responding, “I think having Nachi with me will be a big help. As for Koga, I’ll personally ask him myself. We will also meet this afternoon since one of his clients is interested in procuring some paintings. If he agrees, then Nachi will be coming with me.”

“If Dad thinks so, then I’ll go with him,” Nachi said dejectedly.

Later, on their way to deliver some of the items, Nachi can’t help muttering, “You just don’t need me anymore huh. I understand that you want to spend time with him but still…”

“Aww, Nachi, don’t be mad at me. I’ll buy you your favorite sardines once we finish these deliveries.” MC paused walking for a moment and Nachi stopped as well.

“MC? Why did you stop there? Don’t worry about me, I’m fine. And the sardines are a promise, okay?”

“I actually didn’t think that far ahead but what if Koga is also busy? I just blurted that out without knowing about his schedule.”

“Dad did say that he’s fine with it if Koga agrees. Knowing that oni, I don’t think there would be any problems. We’ll know once Dad comes home tonight.” Nachi grabbed MC’s arm and added, “Come on, let’s go. You’re still buying me that sardines.”

MC smiled at how Nachi seemed to have forgotten that he was upset with her after she promised him sardines. “Thanks, Nachi. You’re right. If the schedule doesn’t work then you can just stay with me like always.”

...

That night, Mototaka arrived just in time for dinner as promised.

MC curiously looked at him as he sat down, waiting to hear about how his conversation went with Koga.

Nachi was the one who asked first, “Dad, so what did Koga say? Will he be able to accompany MC here with his schedule?”

“He said that he has some things that he needs to do but he can make it here for dinner tomorrow. He will only be staying at night since he has his work in the mornings. Nachi and I will be back on the third day.

MC breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. “So that means Nachi will be going with you tomorrow. I’ll help Nachi pack then.”

Mototaka still looked a little worried and started to say, “MC, about the deliveries for tomorrow –”

“It’s okay, Father. I can deliver them tomorrow, you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll send you a familiar to let you know about how things are going here.”

“Then that will put me at ease. I’ll be expecting your familiar.”

...

The next day, MC made the deliveries as scheduled.

“That’s the last of the packages for today,” MC talked to herself as she left the residence of their client. She looked around and when she realized that nobody else was there, she quickly pulled out a talisman to craft a familiar. She wrote a short message to let Mototaka know that she finished the deliveries and on her way to the market.

She headed to the market to buy some ingredients because she will be making a feast for Koga as thanks for agreeing to stay over while Mototaka and Nachi are away.

Later that day, Koga finally arrived at their house.

“MC, I brought you something. Let’s drink it after dinner. One of my business partners gifted it to me. He said it was a popular drink in the West during winter.”

MC took the package from Koga. “It smells like chocolate”

Koga grinned at MC’s observation and replied, “Because it is chocolate. Look inside.”

MC opened it to find a block of chocolate. “It’s bigger than the usual chocolate candy. You said that this is a popular drink in the West. How is this turned into a drink?” MC held the chocolate and lightly tapped it. “It’s also pretty solid. Chocolate candies are small and easy to chew. I feel like my teeth will break if I try to bite a piece of this.”

Koga laughed at MC’s observation and answered, “It’s not meant to be eaten like that. You need to chop the chocolate first, then melt it with some hot milk. Let’s eat dinner first so we can try this drink later. It will also be my first time to try it. Let’s make it together.”

“Then, please help yourself. I made your favorite food as thanks for staying over.”

“You know, you don’t really have to thank me because this is only a natural thing for me to do as your boyfriend. But still, thank you for the meal, you prepared a lot tonight.”

After their dinner, Koga sighed in contentment. “I feel so stuffed. It was delicious.”

“I’m glad you liked it. Now, let’s go and make some hot chocolate!” MC said enthusiastically.

The two of them headed to the kitchen. MC heated the milk while Koga chopped the chocolate bar.

“How much chocolate should we put in?” MC looked to Koga for an answer.

“Actually, I also don’t know. We can try putting some first and then try tasting it if it’s okay.”

MC carefully added the pieces of chocolate to the heated milk. They watched it melt and turn the mixture into a shade of dark brown. Once completely melted, MC tasted it.

Koga watched her taste the drink. “So how was it?”

Her eyes widened a little and replied, “It does taste just like chocolate but a drink. I’m sure Yura would surely like such a sweet drink.”

She poured the drink into two cups, oblivious to the change in Koga’s mood.

They moved to the veranda to enjoy the hot beverage. MC took a sip from her cup and noticed that Koga was just sitting next to her. “Koga?” MC tilted her head quizzically. “I thought you wanted us to enjoy this together? You still haven’t touched your cup. I think I did it right considering the taste.”

MC took another sip to make sure that it tastes right. Right after her lips part with the cup, Koga’s lips pressed to hers.

“It does taste sweet, just like chocolate candy. But I don’t think this is something I want Yura to taste,” Koga said as he brushed his fingers on MC’s lips.

MC blushed upon realizing the meaning of Koga’s words.

“What do you think, MC?”

This time, MC took another sip of hot chocolate before pressing her lips to Koga’s.

“I don’t think you tasted enough of it earlier. And don’t worry, only you get to taste it on my lips.”

They enjoy the rest of the evening drinking the sweetness of hot chocolate in each other’s company.
