Hello everyone!! Today I am really excited to share with you my review for Awakening Shadows by Sydney Hawthorn (@sydneysbookshelf) This post is in collaboration with Book of Matches Media (@bookofmatchesmedia) and the author who gifted me an ebook copy if the book. Awakening Shadows is the first book in The Navarre Chronicles and it is a YA Dark fantasy with mild steam/heat level. It was published in September 2020 by Lilac Daggers Press LLC. If you like Throne of Glass, Shadow and Bone, The Starchaser Saga and Divine Blood by Beck Michaels you will love this book too. *** MY REVIEW Awakening Shadows is a fantasy romance book that I really enjoyed. I liked the writing style of the author and the world that she builds around the story. The book has the perfect amount of adventure and there is also magic and mystery that I really love. I enjoyed the characters and the slow burn romance between Quinn and Joseline. My favourite is Quinn and I also enjoyed the dynamics between Evalyn and Dax. I will definitely continue with the series, as the next book Whispering Shadows will be published really soon!
