This reel is 28 acrylic on paper paintings that I have up for sale. My shop is not up yet so if you want one, DM me. #augustforartists prompt is ‘for sale’ and I was so hoping to get my Etsy shop back open for this but tech woes continue to get in the way. And other difficulties. Nothing major just a bit to figure out. I have A LOT to list. And I keep getting more everyday with my #365daysofart challenge. My goal is to start slow. Figure out a system for what I already have and then expand the shop as I start selling. I can only sell 9x12” paintings at the moment but I have some larger ones that I’ll work on getting packaging for. Canvas too. It’s all a process and can be overwhelming. #augustforartists day twenty one ☝🏻 •-art attire 🥳 I LOVE finding the cuties little tops and dresses and bikini and most often I paint nude 🤷🏼‍♀️ it is what it is 😋🤫. . When I’m performing I like to wear something comfortable, whatever reflects how@I’m feeling and then at home when I’m painting, I literally wear whatever I have on which means I turn most of my clothes into painting clothes 🤣👩‍🎨 if I like my outfit, that’s when I mostly end up nude. Today's #augustforartistschallenge was a timelapse. I'm still dealing with a cluster of migraines so I didn't make a timelapse video. I was able to throw together some pictures I'd taken along the way of my current WIP. “Artist Intro”

Greetings 👋🏻 from New Hampshire, USA where the barometric pressure always seems to be low whether it’s summer & stormy or winter & snowy - 🤷🏻‍♀️ can’t seem to win yet.

In August, I am going to try to participate (the best I can) to the #AugustForArtists Prompt List Challenge which is a Instagram content challenge hosted by @thatblonde.art on Instagram!

It encourages us to either create new content or to totally showcase, share and repurpose old posts/photos you have laying around on your phone!

Let’s stop this whole idea that we have to constantly be producing new and amazing content in order to stay on top of social media or to keep our followers.

I struggle to create (1) because like most things in my life ADHD causes me to feel so overwhelmed that I simply never start because I am filled with perfectionism and worry I won’t get it “right.” I feel like my art is “stupid or childlike” most of the time and my inner critic says, “Is that even art?!”

I took a two month posting break (2) from social media due to my mental health. I struggle with falling down the rabbit hole of social media and find myself getting stuck in the comparison game. I feel like social media is filled with posts inducing fear in people and the highlight reels of everyone’s life - which makes me feel like I am missing out on life even more, not good enough.

Especially when so called “friends” who live nearby cannot even hang out or barely even make time to message me back, but can be on social media, hanging out with other friends and such - as an empath, sensitive person (3) with trust issues it makes it hella hard seeing that. I get jealous and instantly go into the roller coaster of thoughts of what is wrong with me and what did I do wrong.

(There is like 1-2 local people that actually DO RESPOND when I message them back and when both our vehicles are working better we will be making plans)

I have always LOVED bright colors and been attracted to them (4) I actually used to have this like green skirt I used to wear over jeans 2010-2011 or so during high school and such to show my “personality and flare.” I also never used to leave the house without my hair being “perfectly” straight, having make up on usually consisting of thick eye liner and having changed out of probably like 3-4 outfits before settling on the one I was wearing. I have always had this anxiety when going into public and being around other people.

I am learning to create and manage life with ADHD (5) as a 27 year old woman (was officially diagnosed last fall) while still dealing with chronic intractable pain from migraine since November 2019 - 60+ treatment options later, numerous hospital stays, numerous doctor visits and many frustrated words being said. I have been out of the work force since then as well and have been finding lucrative ways to bring in even a little bit of income to cover some bills. In July, last month, I did a 4 day stay at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on the psychiatric hospital. First time ever being on that floor (usually I’m on neurology wing) and man it was a whirlwind of emotions - story for another day.

I just love the peaceful feeling I get looking at them. It was tough for me to pick a favorite out of them, but I think I have to pick this little guy. Day 5: Artist Hack or Tip 🌟 This is for oil painting. If you’re in the middle of painting something, you can put your whole paint pallet and brushes in the freezer over night (or even for a number of days) and just bring them back out when you’re ready to finish painting. Day 2 #augustforartists Why you started creating I was that kid who was always drawing and painting. Any time I could take a class or go to a camp, it was some type of art camp. So it’s definitely in my blood. It’s an itch that keeps nagging until it’s fulfilled. I wish I could say it’s relaxing but it’s really NOT always. I’d describe it much more like a roller coaster 🎢. The beach is my happy place. If I could, I’d move to a beach town permanently 2. Right now I’m painting mostly for myself, but I do sell some of my paintings and may create a website eventually for my art 🖼 3. I have 2 teenagers and I’m married to a terrific guy who’s in way better shape than me… like he can pick up and do a triathlon without even prepping for it and do really really well. Exercise and I don’t get along 4. I have an under graduate degree in graphic design, but went on to get my masters in computer science. I worked as a computer engineer for many years and have only been painting again for a few years 5.
