For the ninety-degrees meme: I'd really like to see a Yoshida PoV for clear the area! He only gets a little mention in passing, but it was a fascinating snapshot of his and Akira's working relationship.
(Alternately, if you're not up for covering heavy topics on a fun little ask meme: in a small, quiet death in a watery grave, what DID they do about the bed? Did Futaba's six million hidden cameras catch them sneaking about with armfuls of duct tape in the middle of the night?)
Yoshida is not a young man, and he no longer has the energy than young men do. Though he has regained his seat in the Diet, he still spends his time in Shibuya Crossing, his loyal assistant at his side. Taking Kurusu on as his aide after his graduation was barely a question; his keen eyes and intuition have only grown sharper with time and experience.
He can see shadows of himself in Kurusu, he fancies. That irresistible conviction towards justice and hope. Be thou for the people. A core in him as strong and unrelenting as a steel pole.
But metal tarnishes, steel rusts, and Kurusu...
He never asked, of course, about those extracurricular activities from all those years ago. That wasn't for him to know. But he remembers as well as anyone what happened that night in November, and he's seen the boy (because even now, Yoshida will blink and see that slender youth superimposed over the man he's grown into) wind himself up, tight as a spring, year after year.
Yoshida is not a young man. He has seen the way the world will press its heel upon those who choose to stand up higher, to raise their voices louder, to fight for what's right. He'll bear his own scars and his own shame for the rest of his life, and he's sure Kurusu bears his own.
Never have they been more prominent than they are now, though. A pair of detectives had sauntered through the offices on the way to speak to a colleague of his, and Kurusu's eyes couldn't leave the sparkle of the handcuffs dangling from one man's hip even as the visitors turned the corner. His hands trembled when he brought Yoshida the wrong set of files once, twice, before finding the right ones. His eyes...
Oh, his eyes.
Oh, his boy.
Yoshida is not a young man.
Kurusu does not grieve like a young man.
That, too, they have in common.

Tea asks: Oolong and Matcha!
Oolong: How does your OC decorate their space?
You know that post that's like "I am not immune to little items. if there's a thingy I need it. 1million knick knacks" Hiram is exactly like that. He collects all kinds of peculiar little items, the townhouse is full of trinkets and his taste is very eclectic so anything that piques his curiosity gets a place on a shelf. All the items are easily accessible and he's happy to give them away if someone particularly likes them. He likes to fidget with the trinkets and move them around, and he doesn't mind his guests doing the same.
Among other things, he has a lot of zee baubles, various mineral samples, a collection of old souvenirs from all around Europe, a good amount of paintings in all the rooms and corridors, two library rooms (they're actually three but you didn’t hear it from me), so many floral arrangements, too many clocks and timepieces, an entire stack of daguerreotype cases, and so on and so forth.
His private rooms on the third floor (guess where the third library is) are the only space where guests are not allowed, they're methodically organised and (mostly) tidy. He keeps a lot of dried flowers in books and around the rooms, he's very fond of roses in particular. The third floor corridor is the only one with mirrors instead of paintings, their frames are beautifully ornate and intricate, but they're all covered by drapes.
Here's the townhouse moodboard, all the wallpaper is red or mauve, with darker or brighter tones and different decorations depending on the room.
Matcha: What is your OC’s preferred little treat?
He loves mini pastries, like tartlets or petits fours, and crème liqueurs ✨️

I’m usually loathe to call food disgusting because I know different people have different tastes and just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there who do and I’m generally on the picky side so I try to be gracious in my opinions on food.
but all that being said Roquefort cheese is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten

“No natural predators … well, almost none.” Saltburn
Saltburn. I’m usually quite certain how I feel about a film immediately after viewing, if not during. This one? Not so much.
I adored director Emerald Fennell’s prior flick Promising Young Woman, which had a similar candy-coated corrosiveness about it but also a supremely clear POV on the ills of toxic masculinity. Promising Young Woman was like the cinematic progeny of Legally Blonde, Dirty…
