When you walked into the Gryffindor common room, your heart jumped at the sight of Remus, it always does. No matter how long you've been together (whether it was the first day of dating or now, 6 months in), he always makes your day brighter.

"Hi, darling!" You say, placing a hand on the back of his head, stroking it before sitting beside him.

"Hi." He doesn't look up from his book, and his tone is a little different than it usually is, a bit bitter.

"What are you reading?" You ask, leaning back in your seat, tucking your feet underneath your thighs.

"Nothing important." He says as he flips the page. Your eyes flicker up to James and Sirius, hoping they'll say something.

"Moony got a 99 on his potions quiz!" Sirius pipes up, sensing the awkwardness.

"Did you? That's great, sweetie!" You place a simple hand on Remus' thigh.

"Could you please stop talking? Seriously, you're so annoying. Can't you see I'm reading?" Remus exclaims. You realize the moon is soon, but his anger has never been directed to you until now.

You're brightness dims, your smile dropping a bit. You take your hand out of his lap and place it into your own, your heart stinging a little.

"Um, sure." You look at your legs, suddenly feeling like you shouldn't be around anyone at all.

"Thank fucking Merlin, giving us all a break." He shakes his head going back to his reading.

A few minutes pass by of the four of you in complete silence before you stand.

"I'm gonna go up to my dorm, it's getting a little late."

"Whatever." Remus says, still not looking at you. Your heart breaks a little everytime he opens his mouth.

"Okay."

James smiles at you, guiltily, standing and giving you a short hug.

"Night, love, sleep tight." Sirius says, grabbing your hand and giving it a squeeze before letting you leave, padding up the stairs.

Some more of my ship. I have a head cannon that when Pete reaches his limit, he squeaks as a defense mechanism. It works every time since it leaves his lers( Mainly Shadow) Just caught off guard by how high pitched it actually gets, especially when you compare it to his deep tone. And afterwards, he gets very flustered and embarrassed after it happened.

There are in fact times where Pete does leave himself vulnerable to Shadow’s tickles. But since Pete always wakes up with a fight first instinct, he always knocks Shadow the hell out after like six seconds of tickly affection.

I was inspired by @littlemoneytoes headcannons for Pete and Shadow sleeping habits, and they said Pete always sleeps with his fists close like a fighting stance.
